Thank you for the tutorial,I appreciate. I have two questions in regards to the above 1)when I tried this technique, the back was a bit shorter than the front and also the waistline didn’t align. Is there a solution to this? 2) do I still need to do a kneel tightening to get a pencil fit after extending the dart point to the side? Your response would be appreciated
You can do a kneel tightening by removing 4 inches or 5 from the waist to get the kneel. Then again, i think you need to do dart manipulation at the bust area. The bust dart techniques. You can check my other videos how to do that if you don't know about I t but I feel you would know how to do that
Lovely...Pls what size of cutting mat are you using on this video? Is it A1, A2 or A0 I mean what is the width and length of it. I'm trying to purchase one but all the sizes i see are too small
Quite informative. Thanks so much for this eye opener. However, it's hard for me to believe that doing this means the darts are no longer needed and that the benefits of the darts, which is waist and bust fitting can still be achieved. It's like saying the darts have been removed but they're there. I haven't tried it yet and only then can I fully understand the concept of darts removal. Secondly, can you tell me a little about the green material on which you cut pattern paper? I see some lines and metrics on it looks like it could be useful for me. May I know what it's used for.
You cut across bust line, shortening bust circumference, and across hip line, making hip circumference smaller as well, because there was no dart volume on those lines to start with. This pattern will not fit you any more, unless it is for very stretchy (75% or more) knit fabric.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I noticed that my front waistline is now way longer than the back waistline. They did not align. Please what did I do wrong?
Ma good morning. Please I noticed that my circumference measurement reduced. Can I place the manipulated draft on another paper to able me increase to my actual measurements, please your response is highly needed
There's no need making a dress for you with this pattern, once you're done manipulating the darts, add seam allowance to your pattern when cutting your fabrics and sew.
I screamed OHH NO when you mistakely cut the back piece open🤣🤣🤣. I love your tutorial details
Thank you
Thank you so much, well understood
I can comfortably remove all darts from my pattern before transferring to fabric.
Excellent explanation that I ever saw on UA-cam
Thank you

Sewing and zip allowance will be added to on the fabric
After drafting, i noticed that my hip circumference is shorting with 1inche. What should i do?
You can add it back on the pattern paper
Can I use this mrthod to sew a fitted stretchy or not so stretchy gown? Say a cooperate gown
Yes but don't put sewing allowance since it's a stretching fabric
