Mine at the dealership this weekend for Indian Ape handlebar. Great bike and I am planning to keep it for years because honestly it’s the best bike I have ever owned after being a Harley owner for more than 10 years
So far I'm agreeing with you. Took mine on a 400+ road trip to Daytona and back last weekend and the more I ride my Chieftain the more I'm glad I bought it
knock on wood no warranty work done, but I had Big Tex Indian in Denton Texas do my first service they got me in and out fast. When I got hit from behind I also called Big Tex and they asked if I was ok and if I need them to send a tow truck, luckily it was not that bad of a crash so did not need all that but I was very impressed with how they treated me. Thanks for watching and ride safe.
@@lukethedrifter33 Thank you. I really haven't read anything negative about the general mechanical quality of the bike. I hope that is a good sign that there isn't a great deal of negative comments about the Indian line.
@@midnitebomber1 I love mine, I got the bobber and man it was a fun bike but sold it to get the Chieftain and man I love the comfort and ride. If you get a chance go check out a demo day if you have not already and ride them I think you will be impressed. Take Care.
Thanks for the review. Anyone have a comparison or thoughts of an Indian touring bike to a Honda Goldwing? I am considering a Roadglide, Goldwing, and Roadmaster for my next bike.
One of the main selling points for me is I'm 5 foot 10 and I can put my feet on the ground with the dark horse. It just perfectly fits me. My cousins goldwing I just never really felt comfortable on it but the goldwing is a excellent bike a lot of power, ton of options. I don't know how much they cost brand new. I would suspect its in the same price neighborhood as the dark horse. Both are expensive rides, so make sure you're really comfortable with what you're buying.
And before this I almost bought the Yamaha 1300 deluxe v Star. I suggest looking around and riding as many as you can before making a final decision. Personally I've never been much on brand loyalty. I shop around and I buy what's best for me!

Nice glad to hear it's not just me. Thanks for watching and ride safe.
How is the wind protection and the helmet buffeting?
The suspension over bumps is a big deal...a lot of the bikes you mentioned have no suspension.
Great review, nice bike!
Thanks Bro
How is the power? Low end torque? Overall performance
For me I think it has plenty of power and torque for a bagger. If you put it in sport mode it gets up and goes.
Lol, i hit 1000 in my first 2 weeks of owning it!! Granted i only get her for 35 days at a time due to my job, so i get on it whenever i can
Nice, guess you could ay you love it too lol.
CC Rider Moto VLOGS oh i do!! Never less than 150mi when i throw my leg over
What is your experience with any warranty work, or getting support through dealers? Good? Bad? Ugly?
