I get this question alot....most of the time it comes from a negative place...folks don't respect the amount of work and creativity that it takes to run a social media biz along with the farm...but your question is clearly coming from a good place...so here's the rub:
I create content and run the farm, I also have other businesses that I don't talk about on social media. Not just youtube...UA-cam, facebook, twitter, reddit, tiktok, instagram and facebook my friend as well as RFDTV and my own website. So I run about 40 hours a week building the farm and about 40 hours more running the social media part of this farm. This has provided many blessings for me...along with all the hard work and dedication that it takes to keep things moving. I probably work harder and more creative than 99.9% of people out there, hence the success of the channel and over 1200 videos out there now.
Takes alot of work to run in the top .5 % of channels on social media. Countless hours and an unimaginable amount of creativity has to go into publishing 3-5 videos a week. As a profession I'm still a Registered nurse...however the income from social media met the income as a nurse so I went full time on the farm and running this business. I also employ a social media manager/editor that helps take up the slack so that I can have a few hours a day to wind down. It takes a village to keep this thing rolling my friends....hope this helps you understand what's going on behind the scenes a little better.

I work at the Duquesne Incline, here in Pittsburgh, and the incline cars are 145 years old. The interiors of the cars are rosewood and cherry. Absolutely gorgeous combination!

Hello from Pennsylvania! Another great video. The first thing I would do is give one of those beautiful slabs to whoever gave that log to you, so they too can enjoy a little piece of what you will be enjoying. There are many great ideas on here, as to what to make with it. I bet a lot of taxidermists would love to have some of those small slabs you are going to burn. I think you are the only one that can decide what that wood can best be used for, and I have no doubt that whatever you decide, will turn out beautifully. Thanks for sharing the adventure.

Absolutely gorgeous wood and having about 1 year per inch to air dry you have some time to think about what you can build. BUT you have one problem. If you keep milling you will not have a big enough shop to hold all that lumber. LOL You may want to think about building a solar drying kiln. There are some good ones on You Tube and being in NC you have the weather and long seasons for it. Also extra income.
