I have to wait another year until I graduated due to extenuating circumstances! At first I was dreading seeing all my friends graduate before me now I realise it’s the best thing I could do for myself :)

Relatable. So sorry to hear your news. I had an operation too at uni. Very tricky. I’m much older, so pastoral/academic care was poor back then. I hope Exeter push out the boat for you. Don’t agree to any process until you are certain you’ll be performing at your best. See what they can offer you re extra allowance in marks etc. Good luck, I really feel for you.

It can be postponed but at my own risk...if I have an accident the results could be irreversible (paralysis) so better sooner than later 😞 thank you though x

thinking of you and sending you lots of love babes 💛 not graduating on time sucks, I know that because I definitely won’t graduate on time, but if that should be the case (which it so far isn’t) I promise you‘ll be able to adjust to it and find a way through it, and time will pass quickly. You got this 🙏🏽 and the crying bit: I once cried in a SEMINAR. Like actual tears streaming down my face. And my lecturer made me read out one of the slides and I almost sobbed lmao I’m weak. You are not alone on that one 😂 wishing you all the best and that everything will work out in your favor ❤️

We're in the same boat, I have a large angiomyolipoma coming off my kidney and I am currently waiting for an appointment for the blood vessels to be destroyed. Failing that I may have to get a partial nephrectomy, which is major surgery. Not as major as yours, both I'd have about a fortnight recovery time. In the middle of doing my MSc project! Nasty things, why can't they have been found out after dissertation\project time. I have emailed my course leader and he said they'll sort things out. I feel your anxiety!

Definitely do the exams in August if you can, it's well known that August exam questions are generally easier than the June ones as most people who do them are retaking the exam or something and lecturers don't want students to fail. I did an august exam at exeter due to illness and they were certainly easier questions, maybe it was the luck of the draw. I hope you recover well if you have to have the surgery

Hypocritical of me because I am the most stubborn person when it comes to health! But health comes first! You can sit your exams in August, or maybe get an extension on your disso or other assignments! The support at uni is in place for a reason and it will all work out.
