  • Shredding of waste wood with a low speed-high torque shredder
    In the shredding area, two counterrotating shafts measuring 2820mm in length and equipped with cutting tools provide active feed -- everything is shredded to a set particle size. Slow-running screws with shredding tools minimize fine particle and noise/dust emissions, and resist contamination.

    That things amazing, -- great for reducing load volume for trucking to a landfil, and reducing landfill voids, but as far as making a useful mulching product, seems as if the final product would have to go through something else to further reduce the size of material.

      Hi, KarasCyborg! Thank you very much for your comment. After a ferrous and non-ferrous precipitation you can work with a high speed shredder, e.g. our Axtor. The post-shredded material may be used for energy recovery or after further purification for Recycling (e.g. Chipboard).

      Огорчу вас. Чем меньше размер зерна материала, тем больше в нём пустот при насыпании и естественном уплотнении. Измельчённый материал удобен более лёгкой погрузкой и большим спектром использования.

    Being in this business for 15 years ....i can only imagine how easier it would be if i had a slow speed shredder...i got tubs and horizontals....but they take a beating in this kind of waste processing. Maybe one day

    I wish someone would make a video where they stay on the shred for a long time

    They need a bunch of these in Florida right now to help clean up after Hurricane Michael.

    that seems to be going really fast for a low speed shredder enhancing videos can be cool but not a good selling point

    These are impressive machines; the only thing I do not understand is the economics; these things have to cost $300,000 or more; the ones with the built-in crane and operator cab probably close to $500K. Never mind the maintenace.....seems like you'd have to make an awful lot of wood chips to pay for such a machine.

    how would this one do with tree stumps

    • @samkom33
      @samkom33 9 років тому

      +lytken my guess is that the shredder will just smile and ask for more stumps. hehe
      im not sure what they use that shredded material for. but by looking at the video i suspect there are some sement and other substanses in the mix. so a few tree stumps with a little dirt and a few small stones shouldnt hurt.
      and i guess they use the shredded material direktly as a fuel for a big oven that can handle the extra ash.
      since stone and other foreign partikles are a killer for:: for example pellets maskines.
