- After years of preparation, we finally saw the impossibly unique Audi RS5 DTM debuting in HillClimb Racing at the hands the Spanish veteran José Antonio Lopez-Fombona, the 71 Year Old multiple champion. The 500+Hp Naturally Aspirated V8 powered spaceframed Monster is one the very few original chassis (around 13 in total) built by Audi Sport to race on the prestigious DTM series in 2016, this one being driven by Edoardo Mortara at the time. Now we can see it conquering Spanish HillClimb Racing, and these were the very first two Races it did this Season:

years ago with an audi a4 st, then with an audi rs4 dtm, then with a lambo huracan supertrofeo and now with this audi rs5 dtm. Great cars for a great FOMBONA. THANK YOU for letting us see and feel those cars. On youtube you can find videos of his previous hillclimb monsters

Audi A4 STW tuvo muchas unidades diferentes (mínimo 8 o 9 diferentes) y antes de los Audi , tuvo tambien un BMW e30 y un e36 ST 👍

@@manuel692 el Lamborghini lo vendió cuando empezó a correr con RS5 DTM, el Audi lo tiene hace años pero le faltaban unas piezas para hacerlo funcionar , cuando consiguió ponerlo en marcha , vendió el Lamborghini. El Lamborghini ahora está corriendo en las Islas Canarias, en manos de Nauzet Brito 👍

Looks surprisingly nimble through the corners
Class 2 cars behave more like Prototypes than GT cars, despite the weight.
They have a similar chassis structure to an LMP.

How damn expensive must be this thing, given it is an ORIGINAL DTM unit...
that sounds quiet exhilarating. its a good place to have a racing track on the hills where the sound gets amplified by the architecture. it must be great chasing the sound up the course as you try to outrun it. it would have been good to drift the car round that last bend and pass through the finish line with much fire and velocity.

... brings tears to my eyes... since it is racing GT3 cars within a series that already has them... I remember complaining about the turbos^^

The 500hp cap is due to mandatory intake restrictor.
