I have his breyer model he is gorgeous. I Love him so much.
Never heard how much that injury in the starting gate just before the start of The Belmont Stakes may have affected how he ran. He still finished respectably at less than 2 lengths back at the finish line. It seems like that injury, though relatively minor, could have made the difference. We will never know for sure.
In the Belmont, Chrome was boxed in for awhile, and then had to go four wide around the far turn. Chrome's easy stride may have been thrown off when he was stuck behind horses for awhile, which probably didn't help. That said, his finish was no disgrace!

He's in Japan... your right they used the hell out of him and then sold him to Japan for stud 😢 talk about betrayal !!!
@@christinematton4125 CC is very well cared for at Arrow Stud in Shinhidakka, Hokaiddo, Japan. I have been to visit him there twice, Nov2022 & Sep2023. He has a very wonderful groom, Makoto, he is the Assistant Stallion Manager too. We are very fortunate he has Makoto since he posts ❤pictures on IG all the time so we can keep up. He knows how much Chrome is loved in U.S.
