I registered and even before actually learning something, just by watching these videos on YT, my rating increased by 100 points :)
Damn, I didn't know I have to learn new openings every year
Lol didn’t read the patch notes ?
No, pick one opening and study it deeply
lmfao 😂😂😂
The balance changes go crazy on chess
Openings come and go with popularity, for those of us who can't memorize 15 moves deep into all Openings it's good to know what's popular and what to focus on
Another great video !!!
- I already like the Rousseau Gambit (against Italian game) and the Schlieman Gambit (against the Spanish game)
- I will study the Charlick Gambit
Fot the momement against d4 I prefer to start by Nf6
- if BF4 (London system) --> c5
- if c4 (queens gambit) --> e4 to go to the Budapest Defense of the even more tricky Farajowicz gambit
- if another move --> I can choose between g6 (for the solid Indian's game) or d6 and c6 (also solid but a bit more tricky Pirc Czech defense)
Thanks for the lesson..👍🙏
Thank you, I enjoy the chess lessons I personally am going to learn a few aggressive chess openings for white and counter attack for black I don’t like long drawn out, complicated games, but fast and aggressive checkmate gives me the most pleasure.👍
Thank you for your toturial
Those pictures for the Ponziani are hilarious 😂
He has a great sense of humor!
@ 8m - perfect order for resignation to setup the board for the next game... great one!
I will practice hard. Having an amateur tournament this Sunday after many years of not playing. And know black opening is always great, since statistically you’re at lower advantage from get go while white has the opening advantage. And beginninger always like the feeling of starting and if you are master of black openings, you can do a “nice” gesture of letting them start with white. lol.
I really love your vids❤❤
Thanks for the video very helpful❤
❤
I've got my first game of my first ever chess tournament today representing my chess club. I will be playing black and I have been trying to learn the Kings indian however the opening doesn't seem to work for me. Then this video dropped and I believe it will help because you are a brilliant teacher. Thanks 😀
Edit: I won!!!
Learn everything good. Learn dubious things.
Congratulations. Do you remember which one you played?
Congrats!!
I love the Scandinavian
Thank you, Igor. You are the best
.
Thanks
Great openings for Black. Kudos.

At first, I couldn't see how the Traxler Gambit has such a high win rate. Even if white does grab the bishop on f2, black can respond to Nxe4 with Ke3 (an easy move to find), then Qh5 is met with g6. As I explored it, I see that there are other potential traps for white to fall into along this line, though. Black's biggest problem comes if white knows to capture f7 with the bishop rather than the knight. After that, black will have a harder time.
The Englund Gambit seems more likely from white playing "logical" moves, but when the knight is offered and Smirnov says, "In most cases, white does capture, ...," that isn't quite true. It is the most common move, but still only 32% of the time. 2/3 of the time, white will choose another move that is much more favorable for white. I can definitely see it working for players that are only a few hundred rating points, but I would be nervous to play this against a player 1000+, perhaps even 800+. Also, it is important to note that if white plays 3. Nc3 instead of Nf3, you can't go ahead with the gambit because the white queen is protected by the knight on c3.
The Charlick Gambit looks much more appealing to me, largely because it isn't dependent upon white falling into traps, but I will have to figure out how best to deal with white's Nb5, threatening to trade his knight for the dark square bishop and isolating black's center pawn.
The Rousseau is one I have been prepping for already. The edge is still to white if he knows the right moves, but black still can have a decent position against the best play.
I haven't seen the Ponziani-Steinitz before. It looks interesting. I will look into it.
i agree there is no more potential in opening such as Englund gambit but the rousseau remains interesting and the last one too, the traxler seems too complex but i think it can works well because its not that much played
@04:17 what should you do if white knight take rook h8 and not bishop d5?
Hi Igor can you make a video if queen move to e3 please?
Amazing chess strategies ❤
❤
I don’t know if it is an amazing game but could you analyze Sokov vs Shapiro? Sokov was a genius player in Russian draughts, but he played chess as well. That is the unique chess game I found.
4. Traxler counterattack @ 3:45 I think white's queen to E1 favors white with queens canceling out. Could potentially leave black down a rook with white bishop still in attack mode
wow, people have come up with some amazing new openings in the last 11 years; it's crazy and awesome.
ICQM INTERCONTINENTAL QUEEN MISSILE
this should def be the other name for the fried liver counterattack 💀
OMG I GOT 50 ELO AFTER THOSE FIRST THREE OPENINGS THANKS 😭 as a 500 im so happy rn
With englund gambit I like to play 2.dxe5, Nf6, 3.Nc3 Qe7 4.Bc4 Qg4+. Getting really tricky for white. I'm 1000 and 7 out of 10 my opponent just plays 5. c3 blocking with the pawn, but then Qxc4 picks up the bishop.
you probably misspelled something, coz 4.Bc4 is impossible
@@MikhaillllKing I'm sorry, I meant f4, white wants to defend the pawn with the bishop
Thank you very much.
I have my weapons to play with.
I played the roussou gambit quite often with a great win rate .
I couldn't believe what just happened when someone played the Traxler counterattack against my Fried liver attack and won me in few minutes. I just convinced myself that he knows Fried Liver attack way better than I do. Lol !
can you please show other moves the opponent may play with the #1 like what uf he takes the night then what?
what if in the opening he dosent go for pawn and gose for knight? im beginer ty😊
My opponet always brings knight first before moving his other knight can you help?
That fried liver trap is cool asf🙆🙆🙆
Igor,best teacher
We need more videos of endgames!!!
Tks for the vid. In englund gambit, if White plays 3Kc3 insteed Kf3 it's over for black because the queen is protected... is there a response to 3Kc3 ?
You mean f2 and d2? The King has no option, he has to take the bishop.
The last one what would you do if he kills my knight ?
In the Rousseau Gambit please talk about e3 for white.
Mastered the England trick, now I just need to learn how to act misclicked in real life
also in #2 what if their queen takes the black rook insread of the pawn on a7?
As an Italian game player, I am sweating... Lol
Levy calls the first one the dark knight gambit 😂
9:00 if we play rook to h6 then he can push his h file pawn for conter attack then what???
11:12 what if white pawn takes knight g3???
👍
Indian defence🔥🔥🔥
Sicilian left the chat
Sicilian is the most common move for black
Secilien defence is sharp, its winning rate is high
GM Igor you should link your socials in the description so we can follow you
Secilien defence is number 1
9:18 finna humble my 'pal with this one
i have watched this vedio more than 10 times even i could not follows these situation while playing.😂
God I love Englund
Video idea for beginning and intermediate players: how to beat Magnus Carlsen in the first 20 moves.
Loved the hats and glimpse into your life Igor, lovely, but very distracting lol HAD to re-watch that entire section lol
2:09 he takes the knight tho!?
Trompwsky Attack!
Igor❤❤❤❤

hay nb 4 is king final move yes
Make so confius until i get trap my own prepare trap😂
The traxler!
That no.4 counter shesshh🔥
Oh wise and mighty one...
For Rousseau Gambit @ time stamp 8:25 ish, after black play pawn to G6.
How should black respond if white goes Queen takes H7 pawn?
Black Rook to G2?
Or do you have a more devious motif???
Rg7 then Bxf5
why is ne4 bad in the last one?
benoni?
what if white plays Hc3....?
Ok, we saw different openings for this year. But will we see new maps? Or, maybe, balance updates, new heroes, artifacts?
Lol I learned this from him IRL
There is check, checkmate, then Checkers.😂
The first one is too aggressive 😮😢
Bro's camera really broke
no, Secilien Defence are the best defence for black 💪
Vector chess.
On the last move what if the horse takes the horse one d4? Then what ?
First comment 😅
Surely the success of these openings all depend on your Opponent making the moves you Hope they will make....rarely do we get That lucky.
Openings for newbies. No seasoned player would ever fall for these tricks.
😂
2:57 This is incorrect. Kxf2 is equally as good as Kf1.
10:10 whatdo u do if they just take ur knight
Idk
Probably D5
Nice to your wife in Sari
As an italian player. Those couter attack are easy to defend. And actually white is winning
I’m admittedly no chess master, but gambits seem almost pointless to me, as they often rely on such low-probability compliance from the opponent. They can all get blown up by one counter-move. I’d rather just learn principles.
If gambits where bad GMs wouldn't use them. Oh wait...they use them.
What if he captures our pawn with the bishop in the italien game?
2:59 so if they don’t take the bishop we are still screwed? 😂
i hate these cheesy openings
I stopped watching at Englund gambit. Don't play that trash, nobody falls for it nowdays, even on 1200 level.
Nobody falls for any of his videos.
Even at 900.
Nobody falls for it? Then I say look in the database, majority apparently falls for it, playing the bad moves. Don't knows why...So it seems to work, but I agree Englund is normally bad gambit, and not recommended against higher rated players.
You talk too fast.
This Is useless. Gambit donnot works. New player dont listen scam
It works u mf
