Oh wow, I'm on TV! My mod is at 40:50 By the way, the reason you become a pain elemental is because it's a standalone IWAD while Vinny is launching it as a Doom mod instead. Pain state frame on the player model is named PAIN, so it gets overridden by a meatball whose sprites share the same name. You're not supposed to be able to load Doom levels either (you would simply get "no map" error message if you play it the intended way), and it was not balanced to be played in Doom indeed, given how default gun deals 1 damage and player has 10 HP max.
Fun Fact: 20:23 That quote is not made up for the game, it is litteraly on the japanese boxart of Sonic 1. Even the other sonic games on megadrive has other ''insperational'' quotes on the box art.

wait haven't i seen this video before? vinny is talking about new things but i seem to know every word he's about to say... that's enough fine dining for me
The issue with this segment is that a ton of the best stuff made by the community isn't "wacky" and good for short-form quick look sort of content. Like, there are wads that are awesome visually or have super innovative gameplay, but they aren't akin to GWWI oddities. That, and/or they're hard AF (Stardate, Dead.Air/Dead.Wave, Lost Civilization, Ashes, Total Chaos, etc.). Also, most jokewads/mods are either painfully unfunny, mostly community in-jokes, or both, so that's a bust. It's a bit weird to say, but I feel like over the last 10 years the community has kind of drifted away from wacky gameplay mods and jokewads, and instead puts their time, effort, and ambition into things that are like... actually good. They still exist, but they're far less frequent and "internet" than they used to be. A lot dryer (Dark Scythe, The "Revenant" series, etc.). The only Wad as of recent that really feels like an old-school jokewad is Poogers/Twoogers and absurd speedmapping events where people just deliberately make stupid stuff, but that doesn't mean it would be actually funny It's odd to be in a situation where "the community has higher standards now" is somehow a bad thing, but I guess that's sunday stream.
@@blueyosh43 I mean, the point of sunday stream is to look at weird and one-off segments, and the original GDWI was looking at deliberately bizarre and interesting mods/wads. Hence the whole "this is just Doom, time to skip!" thing. The problem is this started at a time when everyone was still interested in the novelty of GZDoom mods vs. now where people either use those features to make actual good TCs and mods + the general shift away from GZDoom in favor of vanilla and boom compatible source ports overall and seeing what can be done with those limitations. The only things I can think of that would REALLY work for vinny would be stuff like DeepDream Doom or Lilith (especially when he's the dude that popularized game corruptions), but other than that I can't think of many recent projects that would be interesting to someone looking for weird/meme stuff. There's a reason the Mockaward was mostly retired in 2011. Not a lot of people make jokewads anymore.
MyPark is difficult to even look at, my brain can't parse this. I actually recognize the menu theme to it too, it's the end credits music from the 90s remake of Night Of The Living Dead.
Any doom fans here should check out Ashes: Hard Reset. It’s a prequel to Ashes 2063 that just came out recently and just like its predecessors it’s completely free.
I haven't played the newest installment but I played through the other two using Hideous Destructor and it was an excellent experience, even without the weapons and enemies that ashes adds
He did play SRB2 Kart a couple of times, years back. Maybe if someone created a Vinesauce mod for Ring Racers, he'd be interested in checking it out as a one-off. He'd probably get a little bored with the beginning tutorial, though.
@@hpalpha7323 It may have been designed for Heretic or maybe Hexen, the palette was wrong. Looking at the flying drones, I realize they're using The Entity's sprites from Strife, too. It's weird how some assets are paletted but others are truecolor.
I REALLY wish people would stop telling him, "You played this one" and just let him play it, not everyone has seem ever getting doom with it segments. The MGS one looked cool and someone had to run their mouth right away.
33:40 Vinny, your character is pointing with his right hand and giving a thumbs down with the left. So you have a positive response to people with a heart and a thumbs down for a negative response
Melpert shows signs of memory loss: The Stream Jokes aside, I would recommend Vinny to check out Dr. Robotnik's Ring Racers sometime since he had already done segments on SRB2 Kart before. As for more Doom related projects there's a whole set of custom maps named Doomer Boards Project, the western inspired MegaWAD was it's 30th entry so there's a lot more to look into (Some of these don't require GZDoom, they're mostly focused on vanilla/limit removing sourceports like PrBoom+, DSDA-Doom or Woof!).
He looked at Auger Zenith on an earlier part because he's obsessed with blade runner, and Magnificent 5 was the mapset included with the Gunslinger mod. And unfortunately though not unexpected, he got bored when he realized it was still doom and not some elaborate mod bs. And minor correction: ALL of the Doomer Board projects are Boom-compatible or lower. GZDoom maps are reserved for Digital Bards Krew (DBK) projects, that somehow have even MORE elaborate themeing than their usual stuff while also flexing insane music. As for the Source Port stuff, you're basically never gonna convince people who only play doom casually to use anything other than GZDoom. Even if DSDA, Woof!, and Doom Retro are just as easy to use as GZDoom (especially the latter), they have no idea what concepts like "compatibility levels" or "limit-removing" even are. And what weird doom nerds (including myself) see as negatives about GZDoom, casual players see as "features". Which is funny, because MBF21 makes a ton of GZDoom's "unique" features near universal, as a ton of MBF21 projects demonstrate. Side note: I'm so glad DSDA and Woof! replaced PrBoom. HATED that source port. Visually it was no better than GZDoom. It had completely screwed up shaders, gamma, and saturation no matter what I did + no SDL or Fluidsynth until the tail end of its life. Literally only stayed relevant because the complevel feature was good for speedrunners and play-testing (the latter being all I ever begrudgingly used it for). Meanwhile, my only complaint about DSDA is that the option to turn off Boom Translucency can only be changed by directly editing the config file. It's there, it's just not in the menus for seemingly no reason other than assuming speedrunners would never turn that off. I still like to use Woof! when playing vanilla/limit-removing maps since that has accuracy on par with Crispy and Chocolate, and Retro is good for a Vanilla experience too, but for the first time in like 25 years I can say there's a go-to source port that isn't as game-breaking as Zdoom.
Might be possible, maybe ask the Snoopy guy. Though you should probably design it as short form content, like it's less than 10 minutes long or so, he doesn't seem inclined to play any level for long.
I am also looking for this. And if vinny is legit the only person that has this after it got taken down or something, bro NEEDS to have one of his mods repost it somewhere for archival purposes.
