Disaster Strikes at the Highest Point in Thailand - Doi Inthanon National Park

- One of the things on our Thailand trip that we were most looking forward to, was seeing the view from the top of Doi Inthanon. It is THE MOST INCREDIBLE VIEW EVER, or so we've been told. Instead of the incredible view, disaster struck in the form of a massive storm that ruined our view, but made for an incredible adventure.
Bonus points to anyone who can count the number of times I say "super" and puts it in the comment section. It's gotta be at least 100.

You must come during the winter around mid-November. until February There will be a sea of mist to watch the sunrise And there are many different kinds of birds , Waterfalls and the cherry blossoms of the mountains ( Sakura ) which will bloom in early January.
Yes, some day we’ll have to come back and experience another season. I did end up going back to Doi Inthanon and did see the view. That video will be coming soon.

The little stupa at the top of Doi Inthanon contains bone ash of the last king of Chiangmai. He deserves to be there. The official name of Thailand is the Kingdom of Thailand. The majority of Thais do sincerely love kings in general. We do love and respect some kings more than the others such as King Chulalongkorn the Great or Rama V who lead the country to survive colonization.

The name Doi Inthanon was given in honour of Inthawichayanon, last King of Chiang Mai, who was concerned about the forests in the north and tried to preserve them. He ordered that, after his death, his remains be interred at Doi Luang, which was then renamed in his honour.

We’ve been surprised that there actually hasn’t been a ton of rain! We expected a lot more. It’s been an amazing trip exploring this beautiful country.
@@autumnwall5560 There are trekking at Kew Mae Pan and watching the sunrise at Doi Inthanon, very beautiful See the cherry blossoms in the mountains at Khun Chang Kian ,But you have to come during winter.
