Fun fact! In Chapter 5 Season 1, Epic had hitscan versions of every single new weapon in the files, ready to swap out with bullet drop. I’m convinced, though, that everyone was so focused on all the other horrible changes they made that no one noticed bullet drop in time to complain about it.
I saw some guy comment that there were Exotic versions of the Striker Rifle and the Hyper sub in the files at some point, and they were hitscan acording to the guy. Ngl vaulting exotics for the whole Chapter just because of bullet drop was not the right move, at least we now have them back
I would have liked chapter 3 alot more if they put all the C4 seasons into C3 like it's original plan. So realistically we would be in Chapter 5 as C4 is what became C5
Chapter 4 had the worst map changes. The only chapter we did not have a new location mid season. I'm not a fan of biomes because it puts all the content in one space and once you leave that area it no longer feels like that season. For example in Chapter 4 Season 2 if you were to exit the new biome it would just feel like Chapter 4 Season 1. I like spread out locations much more, chapter 2 season 3 had a perfect example of that. It felt like Chapter 2 Season 3 through out the whole map.
While I do think fracture was absolutely awful. I do think that remix the prelude is the worst chapter finale we have gotten. Atleast with fracture, the chapter 3 map got some end to its story, but with remix the prelude it was just a random concert and we teleported from the chapter 5 map. There was no end to the chapter 5 map it was just gone. Therefore I'd say that remix the prelude is the worst end event we have had.

Solid take on all of these dude! Big agree on the chapter 5 points. They put so many controversial items in that you had a major split in the community every season pretty much. Season 2 was the least controversial but that’s only because they didn’t change that much from season 1. Idk what they were thinking with that chapter. So glad chapter 6 seems to be a return to form in a lot of ways (not perfect, but it feels Fortnite chapter 4 which felt connected to the rest of the chapters where as chapter 5 felt like a different game almost)

@ if the car stuff was like a 2 week thing, and then they launched a full car fighting mode, kinda like they did with the zero build launch, I think that would have been really fun. I honestly don’t mind when they do insane or broken things when they have an end point. Like doom island was super cool because it wasn’t every game. Godzilla is cool because you can basically opt into participating in that or not and it’s not every game and it’s 2 weeks.
Agree on many points but even considering ch4 for worst base map is weird to me. There were so many great locations: Anvil Square, The Citadel, Faulty Splits, Brutal Bastion and more. I would consider Anvil Square as my favourite location of all time, even above Salty Springs, Boney Burbs and Polar Peak.
I actually didn’t like Citadel, but I was more talking about the overall feel of the map. I just think the realistic look and feel of the past 2 maps isn’t as good as the previous 3 maps
The entire snow and autumn biomes felt the exact same wherever you'd go with the exact same looking buildings copied everywhere. Faulty splits and slappy Shores where great tho
Saying Chapter 3 into Chapter 4 having the worst storyline is the same as a Sports team being the worst for Losing their Coach and getting a new one halfway through the season with no team chemistry. For Reference Donald Mustard’s ( the guy who was heavily involved in fortnites storyline and live events )Last Season was Vibin, Paradise just felt like the end of all of his characters and story line to make way for the new person. Yeah Chapter 4 story sucked because the only guy who cared basically left. Epic put all their eggs into this Multiverse project and forgot their original identity, I mean as we go into chapter 6 it seems like they are doing better trying to have a good story and keep that og identity but only time will tell…
okokokook with all do respect ch3 had the most broken smg's ever- stinger and combat were the best smg's in their pe nerf versions and the stiker pump post buff was an absolute dawg+ the evocrome shotgun in high tier rarities was a dawg too
Chapter 4 had events that were pseudo live. There was the rift gate being built in Season 1, the Earthquakes around the map in Season 2, the Projection of the Eclipse in Season 3, and the Time Machine bringing back OG Props in Season 4. There was never any timed animations involved during these events, only phases (like the sandstorm at the end of Ch5S2).

Personally, Chapter 4 is my LEAST favorite chapter of all time. MEGA is my least favorite season I’ve ever played, season 1 was ok, season 3 is actually pretty decent imo, and season 4 was good. The one thing I think it did better than all other chapters (except chapter 5) were the battle passes. I absolutely love these passes, season 4 is the weakest of them all though. I think they should’ve made it more heist themed instead of a bunch of basically reskins (ik they weren’t exactly reskins but a lot of them were similar to already existing skins)

I didn’t really play much in chapter 1, chapter 3 was good but not the best (season 3), chapter 4 is the worst time I’ve ever played Fortnite, and chapter 5… I really liked the themes, battle passes, etc. The only thing I didn’t like was the Avatar event. It lasted way too long and got rid of basically everything that goes along with the theme.
