Chris thank you! 👍I've been chasing a parasitic battery drain for months. After watching your video. I realized I attached my red tach wire. Straight to battery at the fuse box. Not switched power. After doing a drain test I was getting 80 milliamps drain. It was the stupid tach all along.
I’ve searched for weeks for a video like this and nobody knows what they’re doing. 9/10 people essentially “bubblegum” wiring together. You sir, are that 10th person. 10/10. Thanks a bundle.
That's awesome, im re - installing my digital tach on my 67 firebird the fusebox the same so now i know how to install correctly and simple. Thank you Chris
Thank you for this video. It's a big help. I've watched a couple tach hookup videos that I shutdown midway through because they would pan under the dash and there would be a bunch of wire nuts. I know those don't belong anywhere on a car. Thanks for the test light tips too. Very helpful.
You should teach auto shop at the biggest high school in your area!!! I've installed various tachs in various trucks, from a 65 Chevy to the one I'm doing now my 91 K2500, I had the instructions when I did the one in my 72 Cheyenne, but they're lost and I'm forgetful!!! I'm confident now thank you and really good job!!!
1st off the points fire the coil when the contacts connect not when they break.
Can't like this video enough times, you've made it much more clear than a majority of other videos I've watched.
