Hey hey friend love hearing your Chickens.. great video hun..😊❤. Mary Mahaffey House from Arkansas...its hot here in hot springs Arkansas too....we did have a cool Breeze tiday. Nice 😊😊
Howdy, Ya'll. I THOUGHT you sounded mighty "down home"! I'm from UCLA, myself (Upper Corner Lower Alabama), now living near Cottondale, FL. - you know, on the way to PC. I had read of fermenting chicken feed, and your post informed me . Thanks boo coo! I will get started fermenting tomorrow. Delightful post you have there.
As long as you keep it covered in water you could probably go up to five or six days from when you start but I wouldn't go further than that. I just try to keep it on a rotation when fermenting.
$91.19 for a 50lb bag 😮that’s not even remotely sustainable for any normal person. I literally paid $12 a bag at the local feed store. $25 if it’s organic.
I can't afford to buy this particular feed all the time but there's zero doubt in my mind that it's superior to what I get at my local coop. Using both I've seen it first hand. I can't afford this all the time, but when I can it truly does make a difference. I completely agree though, it's not something I can feed all the time. And when I do, fermenting stretches it further. You can do this process with any feed though.
Do not feed your chickens an feed from Tractor supply. They will stop laying eggs. I didn’t believe it at first but it’s true (ask me how I know). As soon as I changed feed, they were laying 3 days later.
Yes, it is. I completely hear that and understand. When we can afford it I see a big difference in overall health, egg production, etc. Sometimes we have to get something cheaper and our chickens are still happy and healthy but the difference in the higher quality feed is absolutely noticeable.
I supplement mine with kale, lettuce and other greens and veggies from the garden and it goes a long way to offset the cost of feed, plus they're getting vitamin c, calcium and other nutrients from the fresh veggies
Hi Angel girl and family ❤️ God bless you all 💕 love you guys 😇🥰😇
I think the chickens wanted to share their input on the new feed.

Thank you for sharing. I enjoy watching your videos.
The chickens sound happy lol. They like talking too!
Can you feed the chicks the fermented grains everyday or do you need to rotate. What do you do in the winter? Great video, thank you!

Thanks for watching!!
Hey hey ❤❤
So gonna order this and try with our chickens.
Scratch and Peck Animal feed is what I use
Thank you!❤
After looking at the price I am considering making my own...
I wonder if any of the seeds would sprout if you went another day or two?
Being completely submerged in water with no oxygen I don't think they would.
I love your "Fluffy Butt Hutt"! That was very interesting.
That is the cutest sign on your chicken coop. Where did you get it?
How many hens are you feeding, and how much feed do you ferment on a daily basis?
The rooster was taking over the show, lol
Hi, from what age onwards can this be given to baby chickens? Thanks for the video, I am certainly going give this a go.
Is it only for egg layers or do meat chickens get it as well? Just curious and thank you.
How long is the fermented feed good for?
As long as you keep it covered in water you could probably go up to five or six days from when you start but I wouldn't go further than that. I just try to keep it on a rotation when fermenting.
How many times a day you feed them this and how many chickens how much to give them
We feed once a day and about 1/4 cup per bird.
I don’t see this feed on that link. I know the video is a year old. Is it repackaged or discontinued?
They went through a rebranding and so the packaging looks different. It will say layer mash big on the front of it.
How do you get them to eat it
Mine love it. :) When they see it coming they get excited.

That feed is expensive
