Thank you for breathing life into something so overlooked by the world. I had no clue how beautiful it was, from start to finish to finally enjoying its beauty and soft nature. I appreciate it all the more, and understand why it was so valued in the past and still held closely today. I really enjoy witnessing pride in one’s work, and the closest this reminds me of are mints for coins, namely beauty and pride with the future in mind: durability, beauty, history, the future of it all- exquisite. Never used that word until now, when the puzzle piece fits and calls for it :)

So interesting. I'm surprised, but this seems like the only vid on all of UA-cam that gives a thorough explanation of how velvet is made and what it's special characteristics are. Thanks for taking the time to make the vid. You're clearly proud of your work, expertise, and products 👍

I woke up this morning randomly wondering how the heck velvet is made. Half-awake asked chatgpt and got a very detailed description of two fabrics being woven at the same time, but really needed a visual aid to make sense of that. NOW it makes sense! I had also asked for a comparison between historic and modern techniques and have a much deeper appreciation for the cutting process of yore - that would have been a lot of pressure on the artisans.

This is such a great video! I'm a materials specialist and run training courses in specialist cleaning - velvet is one of the toughest to clean but it's a beautiful fabric. I'm actually doing a tutorial for my channel on how to clean it today :)

Great video! JB Martin is a terrific company. While the video deals with the production of their velvet, the company's culture is one of the most caring and giving that I have ever witnessed.
