The history of France's Roze factory has been woven into the finest of silks since the 17th century. Twelve generations of weavers have decorated the castles of the Loire Valley since 1650. Antoinette, the last descendant of this long line of craftsmen, shows us around her workshop. Her unique customer service has won her the most prestigious of clients, including Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II.

such magnificent work, I do hope there is a succession plan in place to ensure that the company can continue for many more decades to come
I was thinking the same!!
Thank you so much for sharing, my 2nd great grandfather was a Weaver in Germany and so were his fathers before him.
Many French silk weavers came to the uk as the first religious refugees in considerable numbers (Jews had come earlier and these Huguenots settled alongside Jews in the East end of London, peaceably and trading with them ) . Under their influence the silk weaving trade in the UK flourished . They also bright other skills : horologists, glass blowers , gold and silver smiths , opticians ( "Dollond" of Rolland and Achinson ) as well as producing 10 % of the finance to help set up the Bank of England . I'm descended from these refugees .
I hope you digitize that book! Thanks again for sharing.
