Know exactly what you mean by the waves shutting down. I remember walking to the water watching nice breaking waves roll over the lineup, paddling out and ducking under them, getting outside and waiting for the next set...that never happened. Great video. I'm across the lake, just getting started. On a wavestorm like your buddy Garrett. Those waves look huge! Not sure I'll be ready for that by winter, but that's snowboard season too 🙂 Do you surf Lake Michigan in the summer?
Yes, anytime there are waves big enough to ride. You have to watch closely for opportunities. Generally small and inconsistent from June until Sept. You are now on an epic journey. Enjoy every bit of it!

@@ampvlogs2320 thanks for your confidence, but farrrrrk that mate. We don’t even get Colombian snow here. Maybe in the “ snowy mountains “ ( snows about 6 weeks of the year if there is an Antarctic blast ) that’s right Down south on a big sort of hill. There is a lake there called Jindabyne buts it’s like a wee pool and there is no fkn ice ( only the baggy type)
