i loved gravity falls and i love inside job. Both are part of the few shows where i never skip the intro, really glad they kept the inside job intro for ssn 2 aswell.
There are a few reasons he’d be tried in a federal court in DC. There is a federal court beneath the Supreme Court there, after all. You tend to be tried in the jurisdiction the crime occurred in, so he’d have had to steal government property from a facility in Washington. Could also be the state of Washington, unless I missed something.
This is definitely one thing I had to think about when filming this! The only thing, is that there are multiple Federal Courts where they are, so they would try him somewhere else, especially not the capital, and Gruncle Stan would not be helicoptered if he were going to regular Washington, as it is very close by. You mentioned that the moon phases symbol was the Jugalos, the big symbol above Oregon is the Jugalo symbol but that doesn’t make sense because the Jugalos control global finance. 10:55 the Black robes could of existed before humans because time travel exists in the Gravity falls show. Reagan’s dad created a machine which can alter reality (including insanely important things like removing earth’s second moon) so all the weird things in gravity falls could be caused by reality being altered, remember Brett didn’t kill the basketball dog so the problem was never resolved. Since Inside Job was cancelled we’ll never know. But based off of what we know. Bill is most certainly a higher being, Bill has potential to destroy the multiverse. The Black Robes don’t really have anything on that level from what was shown.
I think that the theory is intriguing but it is explained in season two of gravity falls that the anomalies are caused by a thin part of the barrier that divides dimensions and the anomalies just leak in through the thin part of the barrier and the barrier is the cause of Bills takeover and weirdmagedon in the finale
I'd like to mention that they have used a random line in Gravity Falls to connect another show. Stan said that he married a girl with a golden fang and white hair named Marilyn, and Eda uses the name Marilyn as her human name, and she's got a golden fang and white hair.

Love this video, it seems really interesting as I'm a massive Gravity Falls fan. BUT. What about Bill? Bill even has cave paintings of him stating that he should not be summoned, meaning that he poses a threat. There's a possibility that the Black Robes found out about Bill and made the paintings (as it'd assumtionally be around the same times) warning anyone about him but I don't feel like that's the right answer. I also feel like the square on the map would be much larger for Gravity Falls as the anomaly get rather dangerous at times, like Bill. Considering Bill's existence I can't see the square being that small. Bill would've easily destroyed the world with Weirdmageddon if it wasn't for the confines of Gravity Falls. Considering all that I just can't see Gravity Falls being so low profile for the Black Robes. I haven't watched Inside Job so I could be incorrect about how high profile Gravity Falls is to them. Another thing. Why would Grunkle Stan be taken to the Black Robes? I don't see how he'd be interfering with anything they'd be doing. Sure the portal or the antimatter thing (forgot exactly what it was) that gets made by the portal being open for a fairly short amount of time. But how would they have even known about any of that? Even taking interest in Stan would mean they know a lot about what's happening meaning they should know about Bill meaning that Gravity Falls should be so much more of a priority. And of all things why would the Juggalos be controlling Gravity Falls? It feels weird how Gravity Falls would be given such a weird overlord. I'd assume the Illuminati or something would control it. If you'd be able to make a video on these topics that'd be great, if of course you're able to find explanations.

I mean its not true completly, Cuz the triangle ppl confirms that they are not indeed ppl in last episode. Which means that the whole story she gave to main character is not true.
I think all of these are compelling but ultimately I don’t think they prove anything when you remember: this isn’t Alex’s show. This is Shion Takeuchi’s(those she did work on Gravity Falls among other things). Alex is just one of the producers and voice actors. While it’s possible that she drew inspiration from Gravity Falls, they couldn’t have created this show as a secret gravity falls spinoff, because if that was true they would have brought Alex on the show as a CO FOUNDER, like Dana did with The Owl House(tho it is worth noting that they are dating too). Overall, it is an Interesting idea, but I think these come off as more loosely connected threads than an actual theory, and the fact that you paid more attention to these little details than learning the actual creators name is a little concerning
Another factor that should be mentioned but could equally be countered is the Magic Mushrooms In that Halloween Episode with Waddles becoming smart, he used magic mushrooms. And who gave the Homo-Sapien race further intelligence and thus making them the dominant species on the planet in Inside Job? Myc’s race of mushroom people, through their own Mushrooms. If I remember correctly their colors are almost the exact same. But this could be debunked as Grunkle Stan’s word is not meant nor should it ever be taken seriously.
That also would imply that The Owl House is, some how, related to Inside job because Gravity falls share universe with The Owl House and Amphibia. If that's true then whats the robbes approach to the demon realm, or Amphibia?

I'm personally not convinced they're a shared universe because all the evidence right now is a throw away line that could also imply Stan is going straight to the Supreme court because of how serious his crimes are and a little fun easter egg of a map shouting out his previous work there's just nothing substantial that would link the 2 like actual characters making cameos or a line asking about how the research in gravity falls is going but for now it's just circumstantial evidence that have easy to think of and plausible other explanations to them
Slight idea but if I remember correctly, in gravity falls there was a mind erasing gun. Now maybe, just maybe, the black robes had a hand in it so then they could have a smaller sized scale for mind erasing before they tried it on multiple people to see how it would effect society. And if i also remember correctly there was a secret society in gravity falls also. Again maybe the black robes slightly influenced them to do what they did by having a man on the inside.
when they said Washington, they could have meant the state. which is just above Oregon on the map, most rural areas in eastern Oregon actually go to federal court in the Kennewick Washington area since most federal courts in Oregon are on the west side of the state.
It's important to remember that the robes are lying to Reagan, they say so in the finale. So it is possible that the story of the early humans creating the black robes is completely false. In that case we dont know their origin or when they started working.
Remember When the Agent says "Alright Pines Playtime is Over" Maybe They know each other way back (i know Gruncle Stan went to Prison on almost 30 states and Ban from 3 countries) But remember when Gruncle stan Went to gravity Falls Standford went missing and Gruncle stan "PRETEND'S* To be Standford Maybe The Agent is actually referring to Stanford when he says that, maybe the Secret society Is Connected to Stanford Remember Standford is A Very Intelligent Person Could Standford met the Secret society or Cognito While Studying the anomalies In Gravity falls and they kinda Hired him (This is just a conspiracy theory im not saying its true)

I think that the theory is intriguing but it is explained in season two of gravity falls that the anomalies are caused by a thin part of the barrier that divides dimensions and the anomalies just leak in through the thin part of the barrier and the barrier is the cause of Bills takeover and weirdmagedon in the finale
The fact that season 2 got canceled is so sad. A lot of Netflix's animated series arent that good, then they canceled the one that actually hooked me

There's not TOO many connections, these are all really just easter eggs that confirm a connection between the two shows (there will probably never be a crossover), but at the same time, there are some cool easter eggs to find for big Gravity Falls fans!
for those wondering RemGames credited Alex HIrsch for but for inside job but he is only the Executive producer while Shion Takuchi is the main producer. Just a small mistake but still an interesting theory.

Love this video, it seems really interesting as I'm a massive Gravity Falls fan. BUT. What about Bill? Bill even has cave paintings of him stating that he should not be summoned, meaning that he poses a threat. There's a possibility that the Black Robes found out about Bill and made the paintings (as it'd assumtionally be around the same times) warning anyone about him but I don't feel like that's the right answer.
I also feel like the square on the map would be much larger for Gravity Falls as the anomaly get rather dangerous at times, like Bill. Considering Bill's existence I can't see the square being that small. Bill would've easily destroyed the world with Weirdmageddon if it wasn't for the confines of Gravity Falls. Considering all that I just can't see Gravity Falls being so low profile for the Black Robes. I haven't watched Inside Job so I could be incorrect about how high profile Gravity Falls is to them.
Another thing. Why would Grunkle Stan be taken to the Black Robes? I don't see how he'd be interfering with anything they'd be doing. Sure the portal or the antimatter thing (forgot exactly what it was) that gets made by the portal being open for a fairly short amount of time. But how would they have even known about any of that? Even taking interest in Stan would mean they know a lot about what's happening meaning they should know about Bill meaning that Gravity Falls should be so much more of a priority.
And of all things why would the Juggalos be controlling Gravity Falls? It feels weird how Gravity Falls would be given such a weird overlord. I'd assume the Illuminati or something would control it.

I mean its not true completly, Cuz the triangle ppl confirms that they are not indeed ppl in last episode. Which means that the whole story she gave to main character is not true.
I think all of these are compelling but ultimately I don’t think they prove anything when you remember: this isn’t Alex’s show. This is Shion Takeuchi’s(those she did work on Gravity Falls among other things). Alex is just one of the producers and voice actors. While it’s possible that she drew inspiration from Gravity Falls, they couldn’t have created this show as a secret gravity falls spinoff, because if that was true they would have brought Alex on the show as a CO FOUNDER, like Dana did with The Owl House(tho it is worth noting that they are dating too).
Overall, it is an Interesting idea, but I think these come off as more loosely connected threads than an actual theory, and the fact that you paid more attention to these little details than learning the actual creators name is a little concerning

I'm personally not convinced they're a shared universe because all the evidence right now is a throw away line that could also imply Stan is going straight to the Supreme court because of how serious his crimes are and a little fun easter egg of a map shouting out his previous work there's just nothing substantial that would link the 2 like actual characters making cameos or a line asking about how the research in gravity falls is going but for now it's just circumstantial evidence that have easy to think of and plausible other explanations to them

when they said Washington, they could have meant the state. which is just above Oregon on the map, most rural areas in eastern Oregon actually go to federal court in the Kennewick Washington area since most federal courts in Oregon are on the west side of the state.
It's important to remember that the robes are lying to Reagan, they say so in the finale. So it is possible that the story of the early humans creating the black robes is completely false. In that case we dont know their origin or when they started working.

I just realized that there is also a map of paranormal hotspots in the journal and if you look at the bottom there’s one big symbol in Antarctica on both of the maps and most of the hotspots are pretty close to the markers on the map
