Every bit as engaging as others I've seen here on UA-cam using multiple synths, outboard effects, and a DAW to mix/edit. Just direct live recording with 1 synth. Really nice. Subscribed..

Seriously, it means a lot to hear from people that my single-synth noodling is actually engaging for other people to listen to. I find just using one at a time and aiming to stretch them beyond their capabilities a little bit allows my creativity to flow in a better way, plus I truly learn to master them.

I am currently working on a new patch on Korg Modwave Mk2, this wavetable synthesizer is really very impressive in terms of the number of possibilities it offers. I subscribed to your channel, there is very good potential in your creations 👍

My only wish with the modwave is that I could set layers to hold and not retrigger with each individual keystroke, but then it would pretty much be the same as the wavestate just with wavetables instead.
Still, it'd be a nice addition so I could have a droning layer and a layer running a sequence.
@@dani_raudvik I added an experimental workstation, the “Strymon Nightsky” which allows me to keep a hum and latency times when I play notes or effects. The Strymon Nightsky offers instant controls over any effect parameters you want to add to the notes you produce. I demonstrated with the Korg Modwave on my channel. This allows you to create vast soundscapes with Modwave and all with just 1 patch. You can take a look if you're interested. The Modwave + Strymon nightsky gives infinite creative possibilities. 😉 and you will surely find what you are looking to do there. For my part, this is the only solution I found.

The other solution I've found for this (non-)issue that I just haven't gotten around to implementing is to get a sustain pedal.
It's rather misleading of Korg that the modwave's manual suggests that there is a way to sustain the individual layers without putting performance hold on, but it seems like that section of the manual was literally copy/pasted out of the wavestate manual
what all equipment are you using please?
For this particular session, I used a Korg modwave and a Roland Go-Mixer Pro X. That‘s all.
