  • This is a compilation of racers getting in and then out of their racing wheelchairs.
    About Wheels of Fire:
Aerelle is a two time High School All-American wheelchair racer and Move United Elite Team member. Raymond is her coach and her dad. We started learning through UA-cam videos and other content online and figuring it out as we went along. Eventually, we got the opportunity to talk to other wheelchair racers and coaches. Now several years down the road, we want to pass on the information we wish had been on online when we got started. If you ever have any questions, please use the email in the about section of our channel.

Great video again. When I started wheelchair racing the first thing my trainer told me: " If you can't get in or out your chair yourself youre not gonna make it'. And I think it's true. You really should be able to do it yourself.

I am seriously considering getting into wheelchair racing. Currently, I'm a H-4 paracyclist. I race handcycles and looking to expand that.

If you have a chance to, do it! Remember, although both handcycles and racing wheelchairs have three wheels and go fast, they are completely different sports. One aspect of wheelchair racing that I personally consider harder in racing is finding a good seating position. We have a video on that that may help get you going in the right direction.

amp transfering seems far more easier than polio and polio is easier than paraplegic.

I would like to know how different classification athletes transfer skills. For example T51/T52/T53/T54 .I hope that a new video can be showed all-class in and out.And I would rather see paraplegia than amputation because paraplegic athlete‘s transferring is harder.

I was about to refer you to the other transfer video! Maybe you can try Chris's trick and put your front wheel under something sturdy so there are less wipeouts 😁
