Jason thanks for reaching me so much about painting. Your not only a great artist, but teacher as well. I am in the process of retiring after 38 years in the fire service. I am in the process of rebuilding my 3 car garage into an art studio. I enjoy going back and watch old videos you made. Thanks again. LAMBO.
I am glad to see you are taking your videos in the direction of planning and your thoughts behind the planning. Your structures and construction are wonderful and we I have learned from your techniques but now I am learning and hopefully will be able to apply your insights into planning. Here’s to your continued success. Joe.
We need to help spread his channel he does deserve so many more subscribers it’s not just the fine work that he does but the amazing positive excited nature he has about every aspect of his art. It’s nice to see someone enjoy what they’re doing
Brother you are just awesome at everything you touch and such a creative imagination. I learn so much from your videos and wish you were around when I first got started in model railroading. Jason, your ability to teach and instruct with such clearly. I enjoy your friend from FOS Scale and his videos and buildings who also does a great job but Jason there is no one on UA-cam or how to video’s that can come near the in-depth teaching you have. Brother you are super gifted and once again from my friends and myself who follow you a billion thank you and also for sharing FOS Scale Models with us. To you the best and be safe!!!
Looking forward to the tree video!! I’m currently making trees and thought they were great but now I’m ready to start over…! Love the layout and can’t wait to see the large scale train you cobble it together!!!!!!!!!
Great idea of adding N scale building to add depth to your layout. Lot of people miss this easy concept on creating the illusion of depth by only sticking with in there scale they are modeling. Using a smaller scale to do this is one of the easiest way to give this illusion. Be safe and looking forward to see how your layout progress.👍🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂
Jason, you are one of the most creative individual on UA-cam. Your layout looks like it could easily be used as a movie set. I’m surprised Hollywood hasn’t contacted you! Here’s a cool idea for your Sy-Fy train. You could turn it into a mono-rail by hiding the O scale track on a beam and using the skirts on the side of the train to simulate the hovering effect. Think of the Disney mono-rail system. Always a pleasure to see your work. Thanks for sharing. Tim
Try fine sawdust for the trees instead of foam. I have had it give a very pine needle effect but it has been years. Then spray green careful of trunk and branches. Pine trees have a slightly greenish hue to the trunks anyway.
Hi Jason, your idea for your futuristic train its so great. I know you gonna use your majic ( talent) and make something great. Cant wait your next video on this futuristic train and you are my motivation, so d'ont stop and we will keep wathching your video. By the way i have to find a way to hide the old kids stuff that my wife want to throw out. I want to make a diorama with my old Gi Joe stuff from my childhood and make something great, you really crank my motivation with this one thanks again Jason.
Really looking forward to seeing how you will do the scenery. You have convinced me todo a foam based diorama for an old mine head frame building. Need to pick up paints and try some of the techniques you have shown. Your artistic skills are awe inspiring.
Your models are brilliant the skill and details are out of this world what is the music in the background I really like it look forward to next video 😀👍
Jason -can I suggest for your Sci-Fi train rolling stock taking two of the personel carriers and glueing them back to back. It might make an interesting looking tank car with the large hatches at either end. Also a color suggestion for the loco aqua with a white stripe or overall yellow with a aqua stripe. Of course both could be heavily weathered.
Woodland Scenics put out a lot of casted kits in its beginnings that were smaller than HO scale, but larger than N scale. They may be too old ("old west") type of kits for your layout, but they may be helpful in creating forced perspetive.
It's also Model Power Victorian House. There's one listed on ebay right now. The faller version seems to have a "stucco" finish. The Model Power version is brick.
Hello Jason. With such large model railways like yours, you have to work with such tricks. I don't need that with my system, it's too small :-) Regards Tino
The structure s and the layout Is looking georgus.. can't wait to watch how do the trees, Jason what video shows how to do phone and power poles ? Thanks . Cesar
It was a very informative video, I liked the ideas with color to add depth. On a side note I just finished a new work bench and pattered it after yours with the tubs you have shown in past videos. Quick question: Do you draw out the layout of an area you are modeling or just wing it? Thanks for your incites on laying out a scene.
Hi Jason. Tou will notice in nature that as you look further into the distance things get bluer. So a forest of green trees will get progressively bluer with distance. I'm not sure if that happens with buildings or not.
Hi Jason, as always fantastic. But I would like to see some of your buildings lit up, with walls and floors on the inside. The grocery store in this video with all that advertising in the windows must look great lit up. Of course yoo`d need to blacken the inside walls, sop the lite won`t show through the walls. Thanks for your geat teaching. Karl
Hi Jason, I am following your videos for quite a while and enjoy that. In december 2019 you sort of bashed a kit of a rolling bridge from train to auto-bridge. Since then I am searching for THAT kit but haven't found it untill now, so I thought why not ask Jason if he may know where that kit might still be available. Hope to hear from you, greetings Berry from The Netherlands ( Holland )
There are several companies that issued that kit through the years. Search for AHM 5818 Rolling Bridge. Tyco, Faller & Model Power were the other companies that made the kit. Great piece. I have several.

The buildings, the weathering, the teaching. That’s Jason! Awesome job on everything!

Thank you so very much Johnny, I really appreciate it!!!
Incredible! Great tips and techniques!
Thanks buddy!!! 👍
Jason, you're the most creative builder on UA-cam, I love everything you create, amazing work as always friend.
Thank you so much Ahmad!!!!
Looking forward to the tree video!! I’m currently making trees and thought they were great but now I’m ready to start over…! Love the layout and can’t wait to see the large scale train you cobble it together!!!!!!!!!
I love watching you build structures, Jason, but I cannot wait to see you terraforming this area. It will be so neat!
Thank you so much Greg!!!
I enjoyed watch your creative work . Great video .
Once again a feast for our eyes...Thanks! 😍😍👍
Thank you for watching Phil!!!
I long for seeing how groomy and fascinating this layout will be at the end. Compliments from Italy.
Thank you!!!

There is also the option of using TT scale* or custom built models in between to add further depth.

One problem with forced perspective. Viewing angles can come into play.
Nice work as always. Those trees are amazing

Thanks for the great suggestion and thanks for watching!!!
I'm really enjoying how this is progressing! And, looking forward to the next installment of the sci fi layout, too. Great work, as always!!!
Another great video. As an n-scale modeler I especially love the building on the mountain top.
Greetings Urs
Thank you so much Urs, I really appreciate it!!!

Great video Jason!
Thank you so much!!!
Looking forward to seeing the layout getting tied together with the scenery. Regards!
More great stuff! Maybe you covered it in a previous video, but I’m curious what colors you used to make that sidewalk look so great.
That definitely was a Faller kit. It was the “Villa”, Kit no. 232298
If you want to find it at Wathers: www.walthers.com/villa-6-5-8-x-5-13-16-x-6-quot-16-5-x-14-5-x-15cm-85b6dc

Thank you so much Will, I always appreciate it!!! I just wing it, I let it evolve as I build new structures.

It's great having someone show how to use our own creative talents.

He recently said that he doesn't do lights in his buildings.
Thank you so much Karl!!! I’ve been interested in lighting my structures. Thanks for watching!!!

Have u ever tried chopsticks for tree trunks or fence posts, telephone poles
Somebody send Jason a "G" scale locomotive and track!
He really does respond to inquiries on UA-cam, facebook, and Messenger...
Will there be some rails on this section?
Please watch my 3year anniversary of our model railroad video. It shows track and trains running. Thanks for watching Hallie!!!
I'd like to hire the guy that washes the windows.
I used to think these sets were expensive. but then I remembered how much I spent on smoking when I was a smoker ...
