Hi pablo, just found your channel with watching the red volkswagen. Was a very nice build, the same as this one. I have build a lot of models but they were lost this year when our house went up in fire. I will start again after my new house is ready in Torrevieja-Alicante. But only 1 little thing/tip. You use the silver sharpie, i did that before also. Then i started masking the window trims and airbrushed them, a bit more work, but looks 10 times better. Specialy because you use a lot of attention to your paintwork on the body. When you are used of dooing that you will see the models are looking amazing. For the headlights use Cristal clear glue from Smith Industries or that woodgleu,it is milky when you apply it but will be complete clear when dry. A new subscriber from Torrevieje ps i am from Holland and can write a bit in spanish.

@@PabloModelkits Thanks Pablo. My wife and me came out unharmed and safe, that is the most important, and the models are replacable. Had about 200 models all 1/24 or 1/25 cars and big trucks. Take a look at the Scalemodeling Channel. Also a dutch guy and a profesional builder. You see what i mean. You are building the same as i do. With own idea,s and not complete stock out of the box.

Happy to read that. You and your relatives are more valuable than infinite models and irreplaceable. Yes! I already follow that channel and is incredible jobs 🤩

Jan Van Renselaar, so sorry for your loss!! That's one of my biggest fears, losing my model collection. I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 1500 kits not built, probably a couple hundred I have done. Now that I'm retired, I build a lot more kits than I have been able to in the past. Good luck putting your collection back together again!

@@timryan1785 Hi Eyan thanks for that msg. We are moving in next weekend in our new house, and after the holidays my room will be made ready with a big spraybooth and a lot of storage and buildingspace. That the models are gone did hurt a lot. But the fact that we came out both of us and the 2 dogs and the cat unharmed was the most important. I am also retired due to a accident and looking forwards to start building again. I think i wave a few days with my bank/card to place some orders to have all my gear back again and stack up with paints and model. Good time spending during the holidays

I know this is a few years old but hopefully you see this, what was the chrome paint you used before the purple and what air pressure did you shoot each of the paint colors at. I only ask because you did an amazing job. Thanks.

Hi Pablo, Just found your channel with the beautiful VW Beetle build. I subscribed! Question on this build, after priming, you painted gloss black then applied a "chrome" finish before painting with an opaque purple body color *which looks very nice* . I was wondering why the chrome base? It didn't seem to have any effect on the engine nor the body finish colors. Just curious! Really liked the interior finish, that final shade turned out really nice.
I've been building for a few decades myself, but always open to new ideas and techniques! Looking forward to more of your builds.

Hi Tim! Really nice feedback. I saw in other channel tutorial that chrome is better highlighted over gloss black. On top of that, painting other gloss color gets brighter finish. This is just theory. As you certainly mentioned, the inferior layers do not stand out at the end. Now, in new models I’m working on, I just prime, paint main gloss color and varnish and finish still being acceptable. For other purposes like getting metallic colors usin that gloss coats would be good option. Thanks for commenting it 👍🏾

what type of glue do you use to build? i got a model car without knowing all the skill that goes into building it, so i wanna learn. any tips for beginners?

Sure! I always recommend to plan your build and review carefully the manual. You can use Revell glue or any glue for modelkits with brush or small applicator
