Hello you can use glue instead of screws looks better for FPR. also on the ceiling you can use plywwod about 3" rips every 12" so the fpr doesn't look wavy. Also don't use 3 1/2 insulation on 1 1/2 wall/ceiling. There is 1" insulation that you can use, works better for food truck. Exelent job.
Absolutely! Definitely another viable option! Thank you for the feedback and for the support! 🙏🏻 if you have any other tips and tricks please let me know my friend!
You can use an “FRP adhesive” made by Titebond, and I believe it’s available at most hardware stores. @@poormansfoodtruck frp adhesive is expensive. We used two 3.5 gallons on the trailer so far and we need another. Screws are cheaper. I need to know how to hold the polywall panel up with the insulation panel board.
I think I would've taken the wooden walls off and glued them to the walls (then put the walls back up) + glueing is Cleaner and time saving.(No Screwing)
Great question! I am planning to use either white aluminum or stainless behind the cooking equipment for safety and for cleanliness 👍🏻 great call out though!
I’m not too sure about Oklahoma, in FL the requirements are than it has to be a non-porous, wipeable surface that is mould resistant. I would check with your local authorities first!
@@poormansfoodtruck ok. Unfortunately most jurisdictions up here won’t permit poly wall. I just bought some FRP sheets and I paid 75 dollars a piece for them. Prices in Canada are ridiculous.
Yikes! That is steep! I would look at changing the location on marketplace further north? I picked mine up in Palatka and I found much cheaper in the rural/country areas? Sure you’d have to drive a few hours to pick it up but you’d save some money for sure.

Definitely not a bad idea for the next build, I agree think it would’ve made it a cleaner look! Thank you for the feedback!
Here in Texas the price is 37,50. Just bought 4 panels.
Yikes! Seems like they’re going up along with everything else in this world! I’d stock up before it gets even more expensive!
Just checked today in Oklahoma $69
How many panels total
For my trailer, I believe I purchased 9 or 10 panels total (however remember I switched to white aluminum so technically I did double-work lol)
I just bought it in Houston Texas Lowe’s for $26 per panel.
Hi there. Thanks for your great video. I live in Tampa FL. What's the rubber piece that you are using to seal the gap between sheets?
They are just pvc trim. At lowes they sell them for a 1.00 each. They are usually located in a box near the floor/bathroom section.
This guy has a really nice shape head.
are you cooking in there? It won't work as a backing around heat sources and cooking appliances. good choice for everywhere else.
Great question! I am planning to use either white aluminum or stainless behind the cooking equipment for safety and for cleanliness 👍🏻 great call out though!
thanks for the vid!
Thank you so much for the support! 🙏🏻
OMG! Thank you!
Yes sir you got it! 🙏🏻
69$ today in Oklahoma. I'm bout read to cover the particle board in sheet rock mud and paint it with a good paint. Would that pass?

Hi there how are you coming along with the Food Truck? What step in the process are you?
Hello! Next step for us will be to install the second concession window (the one at the front for taking orders). Thank you for the support! 🙏🏻
Is poly wall and frp the same thing. Here in Canada it’s two different materials.
At least here in FL, they are two separate materials (both ok to use in my local area)

hi where did you by your trailer I'm also looking to build my own trailer
That’s awesome! I found mine on Facebook marketplace (took a looooong time to find!). But you can get them used between $3500-$5000, at least in FL
I am in Florida (miami) thank you I will check marketplace also but everywhere I look was more of the 7k-8k for 8.5×16

I will look into this thank you for replying your a good help
Anytime! Glad I could help! And good luck!
FRP now is 41$ from Home Depot 8.10.2022
Dang! Almost double what I paid for it! Crazy
Is it .090 frp
Hi good afternoon sir can u tall me Where are you find the divider? For frp
Yes sir! I found mine at my local Home Depot. They’re usually located in the same aisle as the mouldings
Ty sir
What kind of lights are those
Why not glue with liquid nails?
Was worried about how it would hold up in the FL heat, plus I think the screws will hold up better over time. We will see… 👀
Are insulated the walls or ceiling
The ceiling, yes. The walls, no. In Florida it’s not required to insulate but in other states it’s different
Do you think it’s still approved
At least for my Health Dept, yes it is still approved
How did you install the installation
I used 3/4” self drilling screws all around
How many panels did you use?
I believe my trailer used a total of 12 panels (walls and ceiling) plus I made some mistakes throughout the process
What size screws did you use?
I used #8 1/2” Teks. I have the link in my other video “White Aluminum vs FRP”. Hope this helps!
Can you please send me their email? I am also in FL
You got it! It’s:
