"Gods İ hate gauls.. my grandfather hated them too."
Malay Archer was that before they put out his eyes?
Malay Archer hard comment I'm bump
Blood heathens they are.
Lil' GayGay well.. it really do be like that sometimes
LOva POssy didn't the Roman had voting systems in their version?
It"s intetesting to see how Gaul instilled in Rome the very vengeful martial perseverence that would reversely subjugate Gaul centuries later. Talk about cyclical history.
It really becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. After Brennus's invasions, Rome is scared shitless of the prospect of another barbarian invasion, so they start pushing further and further north, subjugating the Gauls. But as they push further into Gallic territory, they come across the Gauls' ancient enemies, the Germans, who have constantly tried to invade West. Thus, they are forced to fend off repeated German invasions now. But the more German invasions happen, the more the Romans are forced to invade and raid into Germania, making even more enemies among the Germans all to prevent the perceived threat of a Germanic invasion of Rome. But the more they invade Germania, the more united the Germans become to resist the Roman invasions, and when they get the chance, they decide to end the Roman invasions of their land once and for all by launching their invasions of Roman territory eventually invading and sacking Rome and fulfilling the Roman fear of a barbarian invasion of Rome.
I guess the moral of the story is, everyone learn to chill I guess?
al Mamlūk i think the darker lesson is that the oppressor of today builds the oppressor of tomorrow, and the wheel keeps spinning. Its like the Hundred Years war. England wars within itself for decades. Becomes super martial. Then beats the crap out of France, but France eventually learns its lessons and triumphs. Its also like Imperial japan and China, or the allies and Imperial japan.
Or learn to finish the job the first time around.
Chan Ho Woo
Good theory and I agree in part but I reckon you need to do a little more research on the circumstances surrounding the final years of the Hundred Years War and it’s English players, especially those that remained after Henry V, Bedford and Talbot. To credit the French solely for their own salvation is an error.
Luke Koziol thats more of a "imperial conquests reversely dominating donestic culture" scenario. Its similar but my vision was more exclusive to the context of war between the humble underdog and overconfident aggressor. They often involve empires but not all the time.
Gaul truly sealed their fate with this sentence "Woe to the vanquished!".
CA really wants to make Rome 2 their flagship game.
JKFallen I mean weren't Attila and ToB just expansions? Like fall of the samurai or Napoleon TW?
Napoleon Total War was more like Rome 2 after patches for Empire Total War. Either way, Attila and ToB could only *really* go so far.
They were essentially spin-offs. And their improvements and lessons learned from those games are being put into Rome II which is really nice, and even being improved on whilst transferred. Rome II is arguably the Superior game to those two, and the flagship of its own mini-series.
It is so much better than release now
Only took 5 years...
The community definitely cared about those games. The reason the communities died off is because CA never bothered to fix the games. CA abruptly stopped making DLC for Warhammer, and never fixed the massive performance issues in Attila.
FOR THE REPUBLIC!!!
Roma invicta!!
FOR THE SITH !!! Wait, wrong universe
"Watch those boar vessels!"
@Jeff
I was going to put the same thing :(
SUPERDROID, TAKE IT DOWN!!
The narrator's voice gave me chills. You could feel her pain and desperation. Excellent voice work!
Sooo.... how long before a video explaining who Marcus Furius Camillus is? :D
Reminds me of black and white 2
I find it really poor.
Mine will be next week. I'm working on the general one now that goes over all the factions and what the DLC is.
Man I loved that game. Such a shame about Lionhead studios. I'd love to see a remaster of it. Nothing else released has come close to what it tried to do.
I was hoping this DLC would be about me. bUt NoOoOoO! No one's interested in Rome rebelling against it's kings.
Brutus, I am glad for you, and i'm gonna let you finish, but Sula had the best rebellion
Sooner or later you'll have your time in the spotlight
Damn if only we know a lot of history in the age of kings of rome but we dont
Pro roman propaganda.
Are you kidding? DLC about me is unprecedented. At least some people are aware of your existence.
I already knew who he was during the opening lines of the trailer. Camillus was one of Rome’s most capable heroes that was mistreated.
Is on the list of mistreated Roman heroes for sure.
@@mikeh7917 Scipio Africanus thanks you
Thats being a founder of Rome, Romulus was probably killed by the Senate, camillus was banished and Gaius Marius was declared enemy of the state
Yeah boi, Italian based campaign. Get dem scuta out!
Danial Haq Don't you mean
Get them scrotums out?
Anirban Bhattacharya Nope, I mean the Roman shield. It’s called a Scutum. Not sure the Roman’s would appreciate us getting our balls out for Italia...
Dicks out for the republic
Plural of scutum is scuta.
There was a dream... a dream of Rome
Ave Dovahhatty
Sooo basically the Tutorial campaign expanded?
Hardly the same map if you look at it. But more or less yes, before the Samnite wars.
The tutorial campaign happened much later in time.
Lol, You got the point
its the advanced tutorial
"we failed you" CA to the fans regarding Rome 2 ayyyyy
hiffiifnf,c,ckkdkdk. the gigjghj
I love how the first 45 seconds of this trailer is like an apology from the developers of this game to its players!
ikr? lol
They dont even need to give an apology
Wish generals looked like this guy in grand campaign...or from augustus...or anything really to distinguish them.
a beard! a beard! my kingdom for a beard *is this what your saying basically?
@@marcus4046 A horse! A horse! My kingdom for a horse!

Patiently waiting for Diadochi
Battles of the Ancients i guess but base rome ii is basicly with the succesor kingdoms already so i guess it would be pointless cause theyre all already in the game
Diadochi at the moment of Alexander's death would be amazing. To the strongest. Also having an option to choose Perdicas survive Seleucus treachery would be sweet. I'd buy it.
yeah I wait 500 battle elephants in the army of Nicator
Successor Wars went from 323 BC - 281 BC. The game campaign starts in 272 BC, so there is no Antigonus, Demetrius, Seleucus, Lysimachus, Ptolemy, Asander, Perdiccas or Eumenes. Only person I play as is Diodotus or Pyrrhus but they are not true Diadochi.
I would prefer an Philip and Alexanders campaign before Diadochy to be fair.
what the woman says is basically the devs vs the fans lol
John Inglis lol!
Lmao its true
We Fail You ! yep CA
heh
Second father of Rome. I look forward to this. Finally a true roman hero
I remember there was an earlier trailer about the Samnite (one that was released during 2015) i looked everywhere i didn't find it, my memory remembers this: A Roman Officer talks to his men from a balcony, mentions the war with the samnites, that Rutilus was slain, that "we did not seek this war, it was our foe... and in the east the empires rise and falls, while we still fighting our neighbors"
That's the prologue of Rome 2
No High Elves or Dark Elves were killed in the making of this video
Personally, I'd also like to see a campaign set during the civil war between Caesar and Pompey. One can agree the fate of the Roman world hanged in the balance during that time, and history could've played out differently if the war ended differently. A campaign set in that time-frame would be interesting to play.
Still one of my favourite Total War campaigns ever
Wow this actually looks like a good CA DLC, I really like early Rome. The prologue in the game was actually probably the best part
Can we please just get Medieval III now!
IX Auxiliary be patient.. even Three kingdoms have not been officially release yet..
John Broddy more people wanted medieval 3 not this dead Chinese setting
Taha Hasan If you read the books, you'll see how interested it is
DrViiisTaR what books? Have I missed some total war books?
Timothy Wei I guess the hype didn’t die down from shogun games that came out not very far long ago. We haven’t had a medieval in like 10 years. But alright mate.
I'm done. My whole life revolves around Rome 2 now. Really I think that when I bought the game in 2013 I couldn't expect how much of a work I would have seen being put into the game, even after the release of 4 new titles. Love this game, wouldn't exchange itt for anything else
"We failed you", i feel like they talking about the Rome 2 launch. Also we prayed to the gods indeed.
Nah this guy was thrown away outcast and banished. He came back and spread some gaulic cheeks
Keep pumping out the content for Rome 2!!!! I play atleast 3 hours a day since it came out!
THANK YOU CA!! THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PARTS OF ROMAN HISTORY.
THANKS AGAIN FOR SUPPORTING ROME 2:)!!☺❤
Looking forward to more historical DLC! :)
What are you talking about? It's good that Rome 2 is getting more DLC.
Every time Creative Assembly run out of money, they come back with new DLC for Rome II
CA really riding the Paradox's Imperator hype
нет
Not really. They've been working on Rome 2 since before Imperator was announced.
Leonardo Salles how so?
rome total war is 100000 times paradox's BS rome cash-in.
Rudy McBroody "Rome cash in" Really? I'd say this is a pretty niche market lol. It doesn't really have the same mass appeal as FPS. I'm just happy we are getting more games about ancient Rome since it's my favorite part in history.
Every time I completely understand and finally love the campaign mechanics it is updated. Every. Single. Time.
By Jupiter, that's why you made the live video?
But
ROMA INVICTA
Overlord Nappa *le gasp*
How dare you sir, i am Charles Cortez 10th Son of the "Cortez Family" i will not let such insult dishonor my family name, I Charles Cortez 10th Son of the Cortez Family, challenge you to a Duel to the Death. how say you if you're Man enough, or perhaps craven to fight against one of the 10th Sons of the "Cortez Family".
Overlord Nappa the 10th Sons of the Cortez Family never bows, but to the Kings and queens of España.
Overlord Nappa very well *draw out my Rapier, then get into a Guard stance*
Overlord Nappa and may those who fall, rest in paradise.
"We failed you." at launch of Rome 2 that is an understatement lol.
Guys come on
You know everyone's waiting on Medieval 3
They're saving Medieval 3 for a rainy day after they make a bad move, knowing it'll bail them out in every way
HellOWorld. Yes
Charlie Brown. wE nEEd a mEcico total war rEEEEE

THANK YOU. Just subbed so I can easily access this again. Just watched all 23 of these Rome 2 trailers…AWESOME. Total war, CA, even gamespot haven’t got all of these in same place their playlists
So thank you very much for putting all 23 together. Like watching best war movie of antiquity ever. 😃👍
Looking forward to seeing some play of this.
"MARCO FURIO CAMILLO, TUI NECESSET ROMA! "
Thank you so much
Omg..Non auro, sed ferro, recuperanda est patria! Pater Patriae we need u😍😍😍
Génial ! Tellement heureux de voir ce DlC et cette période dans Rome 2 !! Bravo CA !
It’s so amazing that they still make new content for rome 2
I am waiting for alexander dlc hopefully they will make it.
OMFG I‘m so f***in‘ hyped!! Thank you CA for still supporting this Game!!
Nice. More Content is always welcome.. specially with the ancestral update!
"We failed you". You guys wouldn't happen to be apologizing for Thrones of Bretonnia would you?
FOR THE SITH !!! Wait, wrong universe
or is it?
I'm glad they're still adding content for this old game
IVE BEEN BEGGING FOR THIS
Did not see this coming
hundreds years later,a guy said:I am the senate!
I know that this has nothing to do but it would be good to see a total war about the Aztecs, they were a great war empire, imagine seeing them fight at stake, and the new mechanics that there would be, as sacrifices
Wow.... among the dlcs, i don't know why, but i could feel the chill in this..
Take my Money and update the game with it
Give us Alexander!
Thanks for your dedication at making rome 2 a better game
HOLY CRAP!! I ALWAYS WISHED FOR A DLC FROM THIS EPOCH. I LOVE YOU NOW CA!
Rip our mods
These Romans are crazy......
*thumbs up if catch the reference
Ils sont fous, ces Romains !
Hey! I’m perfectly sane.
Latin: Delirant isti Romani
Italian: Sono pazzi questi Romani (S.P.Q.R.)
Die spinnen, die Römer!
Allez Gaule, Allez!!
More Rome II content, hell yeah!
After 5 years CA continues to support and to update Rome II. Great game...great job guys!!
the trailer footage shown uses the in-game engine

My ancestors achieved much, and with you, oh fathers of before, lay the ground work for my revenge in Gaul.
Only a Republic may turn into an Empire.
We overkill the story of Julius Caesar. So refreshing to finally have a new angle on the history of Roma. In reading the history on Marcus there's no doubt he's a hero; maybe more so than Caesar. What an awesome storyline!
Can Attila get some love too ?
Chill lmao
Shockingbeard guys stop ask for Attila... will have update and for Attila + and optimisation stop with this spam for attila when the theme is Rome 2.
It has a much smaller playerbase so probably not
If I were CA, I'd make all the factions DLC free and focus on priced campaign DLC, maybe 80% price off or even free to those who bought the faction DLCs.
TheNorth15 well that’s up to Sega isn’t it.
THREE TOTAL WAR GAMES!? Im in heaven
I’m crying in joy right now
Pls make Baroque era total war
I love Rome 2
These trailers are as epic as ever CA
1:24 most women and children and soldiers fled after hearing of the defeat, a few senators stayed for reasons IDK and some soldiers fled to the citadel
*Gods! I hate DLCs, My grandfather hated them too!*
Skooma Much but why. If I had to choose between paying for new content and updates to the game, and not, I'd choose the former
he wanted to pay the game again for each dlc xD
Theeeeen don't buy it
*AND THAT WAS EVEN BEFORE THEY CUT OFF HIS WALLET*
Rome 1 HOUSE IULIA introduction. I was young then, young and inexperienced.
I don't get why people are bitching about this. There's a reason CA isn't working on Attila right now. Attila didn't have even half the problems Rome 2 had at launch. Attila is already an incredibly polished and superior version of Rome 2, with all the little gameplay mechanics we wished were in Rome 2 at launch. It's clear that all the stuff they did right with Attila, they are now trying to bring over to Rome 2 to ensure that the game goes out on the high note that the Classical Antiquity era deserves. The DLCs are clearly to maintain interest in Rome 2 so that these new patches can actually be given a whirl by enough people so they can work on the next stuff.
Besides, obviously once they're done with Rome 2, they are going to move onto Attila. The reason they haven't is because a) Attila doesn't have as much stuff that needs fixing as Rome 2, so it makes sense to get fixing Rome 2 out of the way first, and b) Attila doesn't cover as large an era as Rome 2. Rome 2 was meant to cover the entire classical antiquity era. That means everything from the Peloponnesan Wars in the 5th Century BC to Emperor Aurelian in the 3rd Century AD. That is a game that is, with the inclusion of DLCs and DLC potential, meant to cover a period of time spanning 700 years. Attila however can only go so far. At most, it can cover a period of time spanning from the rise of Constantine in the 4th Century AD to the rise of Charlemagne in the 8th Century AD. A period of time covering only 300 years. If they go too far back, they're in Rome 2's territory, if they go too far forward, they're in Thrones of Britannia or in the Middle Ages, at which point why not just instead make M3TW? There just isn't the same potential for DLC in Attila because it covers such a shorter amount of time. They already did the main Attila campaign, they already did Charlemagne, hell they scraped the bottom of the barrel for Justinian and Belisarius in The Last Roman. At this point, they could perhaps do the rise of Constantine and maybe a campaign on the Arab invasions. But beyond that, not as many options. I dunno, maybe I'm wrong. Thoughts?
al Mamlūk you are overthinking it. Rome 2 just has the second most active players of all total war games. Attila has way less.
Attila may be more polished, but boy, it has some of the worst Multiplayer ever. Really unbalanced, shock cav kills everything.
al Mamlūk rise of Constantine would be Rome 2 dlc most likely. Also if you’re interested try the Rome 2 mod. Free content that feels like paid dlc :)
true
Robert L im getting this dlc .I don't like mods but it's just me
I'm so hyped! Thanks for continuing to update and create new content for this game
Sega Clear vision ending wow im so excited with the update
"Marcus Furius Camillus, The Creative Assembly needs money"
Total War Rome 2 Rise of the DLC
Vae victis
May the force be with you...
If one can play with the Gauls and ensure the end of the Republic, I will do so posthaste! :D
Awesome-looking DLC, hella hyped!!
amazing !!! , Long live syracuse!!
my favorite faction
Ancient setting has to be the most interesting setting ever. And I’m not including the Bronze Age in it just to be fair.
Those silky smooth 15 FPS on the campaign map
rome 2 is the best total war ever made.i play rome 2 from 2013 .5 years and no boring this game
Still no alexander the great campaign?
I am Sun Jetzu. If anybody remembers who that is lol
old times
what happened to you? i was searching for your channel, are you only about dragon ball now?
i do, what happened to u?
you had that annoying voice
I remember, you made a Rome Vs. china total war scenario that I watched as a kid over and over, what happened?
At last! My favorite Roman is the center of a piece of modern media.
"Every Gaul is now an enemy of the Republic, do what must be done player... do not hesitate... show no mercy."
im glad but also disappointed. i was hoping CA would do a DLC on the middle east between persia, egypt, assyria, hittites between 3000 to 1000 BC. literally no other game has done an RTS game focused in that time period and place plus it is rarely talked or known, it would be a welcome first by the community. if that doesnt convince CA/Sega to do a DLC on that time perdiod then i'll put it in simple words: 3000BC Campaign + Never Done Before + Totaly New Setting + Happy Fans = HUGE PROFIT (for a dlc expansion of course)
patrick Katalenas Or Mithridatic wars
A bronze age setting will probably come after Three Kingdoms. The period is untouched by total war games, is interesting and CA seems to like trying new stuff, so 5 years of patience for us all
There is a bronze age mod though, it's just stuck in the custom battle phase. It's called Age of Bronze.
The game to come after Three Kingdoms is probably Medieval 3.
hoourr douurrr HOOOURRR DOOUURRR
Wait... You may wonder why dead body have no blood stain. That because you haven't paid $0.99 for that DLC yet.
Hung Lam you mean the 9,99€ dlc ?
That's because Blood and Gore is 18+ and the rest of the game is 13+.
I knew the Live Stream was for something
"Non auro, sed ferro, recuperanda est patria"
Rome 2 is the best game ever!
Woah I got goosebumps
Ares oh no it's retarded
Ares you haven't played Rome or shogun yet have you? Easy on the comment there bud
WarDaddy Industries I have over 1000 hours for each game actually. Not shogun though FOTS
Maybe with Divide et Impera. But by itself, maybe 5th or 6th best.
I just saw a kid have a seizure after i read your comment.
y tho
Y NOT?
Those sweet sweet denarii
So it begins
CA are you going to do any other DLC for Attila in the future? I mean it's good to have all of this content for Rome 2, but you could vary things up.
You know CA you could make something truly great when it comes to expansions. Let's just say you make something like Mongol invasion of Japan for Shogun 2 and you add Korean faction and also Chinese. I think you could make it work, enough with this Rome DLC and such
Nestor Gillespie So you copy paste this on every rome 2 video brother nice xD
You're Welcome
True dat
China is about to be done in three kingdoms. It is more likely that in the future your will see an expansion in three kingdoms which is the to do with the Japanese and Korea
That would work also Mongols because China itself doesn't have the weight to intrest me
Thank Merkel for this happening again.
now all we need is either a bronze age DLC (with the hitites , sea peoples etc) or an Alexander dlc that let us both conquered india and the italian peninsula in a big what if scenario
Zajebiste! Już nie mogę się doczekać 😃
