Georgie literally knows nothing about jumping, it's meant to be that she has bad form because she jumped out of a car one day and pulled herself onto a random galloping horse in the pasture. Watch Amy and some of the other characters jump, they know what they're doing. We'll see if you complain then. Heartland is a really popular show among equestrians, the show knows their stuff about horses, trust me.
