and this proof that the main story of the game became insignificant because the main purpose of those who held the staff is to maintain the balance between Order and Chaos
This story literally never went anywhere. They might as well just do the rpg spinoff without a modern day storyline. None of this answers any existing questions and only leaves you with more questions
Kassandra is the 3rd faction in the war in the Templar vs Assassin i think her faction's purpose is to put balance in the power spectrum because like Pythagoras said if one faction goes too powerful the world will be in chaos so there have to be two powers at each other throat and that was Templars vs Assassins. I think she makes a group powerful enough to get head to head to a faction that wins in the war (Templar vs Assassin) like maybe in AC Origins she makes a new Ancient Order in secret to combat the Hidden Ones and it goes on and on till that part she gave Layla the staff.
Actually there's a name for it Hermeticists founded by Pythagoras they are the one that kidnapped Da Vinci and they also helped the Templars using a proxy called Golden Dawn or something. They actually change sides if one of the faction is losing that's how they put the balance of power in order they called Templars "ORDER" and Assassins "CHAOS".
With the death of Juno in the comic and with this ending the main story of the game became insignificant because the main purpose of those who held the staff is to maintain the balance between Order and Chaos. The entire franchise was built on threat that Juno represented, but with her death the main storyline is dead. What is the purpose of Layla? This is the only thing i do not understand. Now the producers have only Atlantis to work with. I'm sure they can build new stories on that and i hope it will be worth it.
Swift nooo but Atlantis is so unrealistic, and yes the apple of Eden and it shooting out beams and all of the pieces of Eden and their powers is far fetched but it seemed more realistic like it could be true in real life. But this is just completely gone left.
So much Atlantis hype and yet they don't even allow you to enter it... What a ridiculous tease.. It's classic... I'll bet you that Ubisoft will sell us Atlantis gameplay as dlc...
So there’s the ruins of Atlantis and a powerful artifact keeping people alive for thousands of years. Didn’t Disney do that already with Atlantis The Lost Empire?
Reoccurring theme, as if they’re trying to tell us something. There’s said to be Golden powder found in a chest in and ancient precursor temple ruins in Romania that extend your life by 1k years with each dose. Apparently it ties in with Iraq- the discovery of the Romania temple was the result of a regional topographic scan being done when the discovered a hole and went to investigate. The temple itself had a white force field blocking the entrance which activated in multiple other temples including Egypt and Iraq. Saddam, who viewed himself as the reincarnation of Nebuchadnezzar, sought to put do his greatest accomplishment of igniting the furnace (stargate). He was unable to locate the stargate however, but that changed when the force field activation in Romania also activated in Iraq. Apparently they’re all connected. It’s believed that this is the ‘WMD’ that the US invaded Iraq over. The popular excuse was Oil but Trump himself kept complaining that we never took it. Worth mentioning is that the military also confiscated 30,000 cuneiform texts pertaining to the Anunnaki, which is just another name for precursors. Aesir/Anunnaki/Devas/Isu... another name, another face, another meaning... but same being.

The game is good but the story doesnt make any sense How can someone reincarnate if his/her ancestor hasnt died, and how can Layla access Kassandra/Alexios memories if they didnt died
In the beginning of this game it was sweat samples. In Origins they used the dead bodies because they did not leave any descendant. Basically the dead body of modern day Alexios/Kassandra can be mined for info with the animus
8:40 is such a dead giveaway of ac going to the japanese setting or a major tease or acknowledgment by ubisoft saying that they know people want to see that setting
Desmond was such a relatable character, I liked him a lot and was actually sad when he died. He literally sacrificed himself for mankind. He could have been a living legend, guiding the remnants of the people. He died for something greater than himself. Now we've got this absolute trash of a protagonist who calls herself an assassin, even though the only thing she cares about is herself. You think she'd sacrifice herself for humanity and throw away all the power she's got? I can tell you right now, people around her will be dropping like flies and she will justify everything by saying "it's her destiny and she's meant for greatness". We're only two games in and I despise her already.
As someone who only plays the games (and not even always the dlcs) WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON ? Who am I ? WHat do I want ? Who are these people ? There was no transition between me meeting Miles in the desert and waiting the helicopter to leading an assassin cell. I didn't like Desmond a lot but at least I understood who he and his friends were and what their goal was.
Everyone talking bad about this game I don't understand, I thought the whole game was great although the ending kinda made me feel like "oh that's it".
They're saying it makes no sense because it completely strayed away from the original story line and became even more over the top and much more if you could actually understand that

Ubisoft is totally clueless about where to take the modern day story! While this is an improvement over black flag, rogue, unity, or syndicate because we are not some nameless, faceless, mute protagonist. But seriously Just do something! Here I will help you! Is it perfect no but it's interesting and is actually a story!
In my opinion it should have ended with ac3. Not the series just the modern stuff. Keep Desmond alive have him, Assassinate abstergo Templars, deactivate pieces of eden was in the modern world, have them keep the peace. The rest of the games can be just exploring the past for funsies and no jumping sharks.
The source material is full of ways you can go and yet Ubisoft has no idea what to with it that they just lay an egg. Honestly they should just reboot the whole series
Either those stone pillars are made of Styrofoam or the character is related to Heracles, and I'm not sure which would make more sense given how nonsensical this story-line is feeling
It’s confirmed at this point that watch dogs and Farcry are in the assassins creed universe. This means the ending to farcry 5 is a hallucination due to bliss and facry New Dawn never happened since that means watchdogs 3 would never go past 2018 and these modern scenes would never happened if the nukes were really dropped.
Mr. Anonymous Maybe people are complaining because the want AC to be good and make sense again, just because you will take any old shit Ubisoft pumps out no matter how nonsensical the story is or how little of the game actually has anything to do with the roots of the franchise. I remember AC1. It was very repetitive and lacked replayability but you know what it did have? Interesting characters, exploration of philosophy and a logical plot that didn't revolve around totally tired concepts. Where are we now? Atlantis? Chosen Ones? Immortality? Its like the stuff involving Desmond and his heritage no longer exists. The people bitching just want a satisfying story and gameplay that actually expands on the stuff they loved about AC1, 2, Brotherhood and Revelations which Ubisoft utterly fails to do. They still love Assassins Creed but Assassins Creed is has been failing to be Assassins Creed since Black Flag. Its been Pirates Creed, Peaky Blighters Creed etc. Now we got Spartans Creed. We just want ASSASSINS CREED. We want it to go back to when the modern day plot wasn't the same convoluted mess you expect from a shitty hollywood attempt at mimicking marvels cinematic universe.
Daughson Perkins Well sort off . But modern historiens think that reality Homer was writing about a series of wars that greeks fought against a kingdom called wilusa in modern day Turkey(Willusa/Illios/Troy) in the bronze age . But over the centuries the evolved into the classic trojan .. You see before classic Greece . There was bronze age Greece or the mycenean Civilistation (named after the City of mycenae in argolis where it was first found). Back in the bronze age Greece was series of powerfull citystates that ruled by kings. The and his people woud live on the acropolis in palacesin citadels , while the normal people lived in the City below. The greeks or myceneans used a form of writing linear b. And they traded all over middle East . Mycenean pottery has been found in Italy , egypt and Turkey and syria. The mycenean exsisted from around 1700/1600 bce untill the the 1100/1000 bce. The Greek settlement on the tyrkisk coast started with the myceneans . And that them into conflict with their eastern neigbour the hittitie Empire . The hittitties mentions the greeks in diplomatic letters to the Other Kings (and direct letters to Greek Kings . There the greeks are called achiyawa. And they also mention a series of wars fought against Greek Kings over a City called wilusa(the Real Troy ) . Wilusa was hittite client state. And since wilusa controlled ship/Trade routes to the Black sea. It was a powerfull City state. So yes the greeks and Hittites fought over that state . Even Egyptian sources mentions the greeks .But around 1200 the hittties Empire collapsed snd mycenean Greece went to a decline . The mycenean palaces were burned down. The powerfull Kings and their people and linear b writing disapeared . And the mycenean citystates woud evolve into the classic Greek citystates like Athens , Sparta, Corinth , Thebes, Corinth , Argos etc... But they all started on the bronze age . So Greek culture is very . Great Pharaohs like Ramses the second/great knew the myceneans . Because he had myceneans soldiers in his Army . Egyptian armor with Ramses the seconds name has been found on Greek Island of salamis close the ruins of that Islands mycenean palace . So yes the trojan war are based on Real events ...
The Present time should be way more fleshed out. IT's been that way since Desmond. They hear "I don't care about Desmond" and kill him, then give us a protagonist that lived from their timeline to present day and kill her after a 4 minute convo. The Isue reveals int he last two games were phenomenal, especially the ISu rebels from Odyssey! We might get to meet Isu for real and I'm excited.
Wtf is up with this modern day...where is William miles from the last game? Where is Shawn Hastings and Rebecca? Why is layla even fucking relevant? She has no mission except to find this staff? At least Desmond was trying to find pieces of eden, while battling the bleeding effect, and unraveling who subject 16 was, Desmond’s story had so many layers. Layla fucking sucks, but it is better than syndicate/ unity
Someone look at the fucking exchange from 13:30-14:00. What the fuck is happening there? The characters are gesticulating agressively, the vocals don't match the facial expressions and the dialogue is so clunky. Who the fuck okayed this?
I think there is 2 Assassin's Creed remaining for historical memories. or could just do from stone age too but that won't work much. So Empire and then ww2. After that It will be mostly about modern day and play as Desmond again. Desmond is the modern day key character of the series.
This story has no pacing. One minute Layla's in London, then suddenly she's in the middle of Greece looking for Atlantis. No one discussed anything, we don't even know how she got there. Then it's back into the Animus in the middle of a dank fucking cave.
cuz she spent like 2500 years on earth. and there that english that you hear today didnt exist in that ancient timeline. ppl in the game talk on their own mother tongue. english with an accent is just there for an atmosphere. so she lived through of evolution of languages, ideas, science. and probably spent alot a time in GB and USA for a couple lifetimes. my god! even some movie actors in couple of years manage to clear off their accents.
She lives in modern Greece, so her accent is modern Greek. It would definitely be different from her original accent, but since we have zero idea what a Classical Spartan accent would sound like, it makes sense that the Animus would pick a contemporary accent for the translation, which Kassandra has gained in the modern day as well.
she fought too many wars. remember? and being unnoticed all these years probably fighting in vanguard by high authorities? idk. just fkn unbelievable. and it would make more sense if animus delivers translation in fluent english. oh, but there is no fluent english xD even every goddamn regions of countries has their own accents. such a difficulties for animus. i guess i just forget all these logic issues and take this game as it is. an ancient greeсe walking simulator

@@mr.dystopian5554 "They killed her in the comics" Proof that they are idiots that have no idea what they are doing,so much wasted potential.
and this proof that the main story of the game became insignificant because the main purpose of those who held the staff is to maintain the balance between Order and Chaos
This story literally never went anywhere. They might as well just do the rpg spinoff without a modern day storyline. None of this answers any existing questions and only leaves you with more questions
Dude wtf..
Kassandra being alive and doing nothing since then has so many plotholes..
We don't know what she was or wasn't doing over the years, don't jump to conclusions.
Agreed...
It would explain why the war had been going on for centuries spanning the whole planet with no side ever winning or having an advantage for very long
Actually there's a name for it Hermeticists founded by Pythagoras they are the one that kidnapped Da Vinci and they also helped the Templars using a proxy called Golden Dawn or something.
Wait, what do you mean Juno's dead?

Should’ve just taken the year off again. Bayek is a way more interesting character plus the character model displays were better in origins, My opinion. Makes me wonder with the whole staff thingy now, why didn’t Desmond and his crew first seek this instead of Ezios story🤔
Candy Van Man because of retconning and the writers are incompetent and assholes looking to create anything out of thin air to get as much money as possible.
Their focus back then was to prevent the end of the world. Geez, I really hate some people who claim themselves to be the fan of the series. -_-
It's pointing out illogical inconsistencies with the stories mate, there is always room for constant improvement and we are only like this because we're passionate about the game. What Ubisoft have done here isn't good. Not as bad as Syndicate where all we had were cutscenes, but still not great.
It's possible they didn't know. A lot of knowledge was probably lost over the centuries during the wars between the templars and the assassins.

@@calvingrex i think it's ubisoft quebec's game
Oh yeah... damn! My mistake...
In the beginning of this game it was sweat samples. In Origins they used the dead bodies because they did not leave any descendant. Basically the dead body of modern day Alexios/Kassandra can be mined for info with the animus
They didn't use bodies to simulate information. They used the Spear.
8:40 is such a dead giveaway of ac going to the japanese setting or a major tease or acknowledgment by ubisoft saying that they know people want to see that setting
Kiyoshi is apart of the assassin brotherhood so it could happen.... hopefully...
22:06 wow they’re holding both your hands for this puzzle

Ubisoft is totally clueless about where to take the modern day story! While this is an improvement over black flag, rogue, unity, or syndicate because we are not some nameless, faceless, mute protagonist. But seriously Just do something! Here I will help you! You play as either Shawn or Rebeca traveling the globe infiltrating Abstergo sites and you are in pursuit to find the remains of Desmond Miles for his Dna contains memories from one of his ancestors that can finally end the Templar's struggle for power once and for all. Is it perfect no but it's interesting and is actually a story!
From what I've heard, Ubisoft is taking the year off again in 2019.
I love Kasandra she has eyes and voice of wisdom and you can see it in her
It’s confirmed at this point that watch dogs and Farcry are in the assassins creed universe. This means the ending to farcry 5 is a hallucination due to bliss and facry New Dawn never happened since that means watchdogs 3 would never go past 2018 and these modern scenes would never happened if the nukes were really dropped.
they're not in the same universe
Dude they fucking ruined assassin's Creed like legit
Getting really tired of people hating on this game.. but that just me
Yeah it is just you coz this sucks more than your mom.
We want it to go back to when the modern day plot wasn't the same convoluted mess you expect from a shitty hollywood attempt at mimicking marvels cinematic universe.
.... and when did assassin become star wars? ReStOrE ThE BaLaNcE?!
Funny thing is homer was right about the Trojan war being a thing 😂
Hope the next game is set in Japan and we get to play Kiyoshi in the present day. Really like him in the comics~
Not including dlc, in the main game you only see the modern day like 2 maybe 3 times, in Origins, it was at least around like 5 times
Without Desmond, the modern day means nothing.
“Layla to Altair 2” Why Ubisoft what’s the point of that
I want them to make a desmond cameo in the new ac valhalla

I think there is 2 Assassin's Creed remaining for historical memories. or could just do from stone age too but that won't work much. So Empire and then ww2. After that It will be mostly about modern day and play as Desmond again. Desmond is the modern day key character of the series.
Desmond or his son need to come back smh. what have they done to this franchise
Fun fact: Desmond actually has a son

why da fuk Kassandra still talks with an accent?
Why wouldn't she?
As opposed to? Everyone talks with an accent.
cuz she spent like 2500 years on earth. and there that english that you hear today didnt exist in that ancient timeline. ppl in the game talk on their own mother tongue. english with an accent is just there for an atmosphere. so she lived through of evolution of languages, ideas, science. and probably spent alot a time in GB and USA for a couple lifetimes. my god! even some movie actors in couple of years manage to clear off their accents.
