Hi! Thank you! It depends on the surface I'm painting on, if the stone has a rough texture that's a bit too bumpy to paint on then I put a resin coating on it first to even it out, otherwise I leave the stone as is and paint on it and then protect it after 😊
Hi Annette, what I typically do if I'm not certain of the right size I make dots with my tools on a separate piece of paper and hold it up to my canvas to see if it will fit, or I go for it with what I think will work (only if my other paint dots on the project are dry) and if it's not right then I wipe it off and try another tool 😊

When you paint on a stone that has been resined, Do you apply a top coat as well,to protect the mandala?

What did you treat the stone with to make it so smooth and shiny??
Hi Cathy! I treated it with a resin coating to level the rough stone and give a smooth surface to paint on 😁
