This song actually still fits the “very much Seventeen” mold. They’ve been around so long that they have touched on a lot of styles and genres. This still has their style to me. But also, I’ve listened to a lot of their songs, so I have a lot to compare to. This will fit in perfectly with the rest of the discography. It’s actually kind of reminiscent of some of their earlier stuff.
Yeah tbh I was kinda worried that it wouldn't feel "SVT-like" given the title and DJK but I was nicely surprised ! Some parts remind me of a chilled-out Fronting somehow 😂
People said it sounds like fronting but the instrumentals sounds like a livelier crush to me lmao. Like you can definitely hear how this relates to the rest of discography
Seungkwan said woozi was skeptical with the song genre during production but once they listened to it they agreed that it was THE SONG for seventeen. The put a lot of hardwork for the album and i hope it does paid off
to me both the mv and lyrics seem very connected to the fact that this is seventeen's first comeback where they'll be truly missing a member in promotions, what with jeonghan (the blonde guy in the first scene) being the first seventeen member to go to the military. he enlisted late last month but prerecorded this comeback, however obviously won't be able to promote with them. in the mv, he's never with the other members, even in the choreo and 'whole team' shot you mentioned, and woozi seems to be calling him from afar in another scene after ignoring the talk show to pick up his call. also, another member, jun, will be focusing on acting in china so will also miss out on some events etc. seventeen therefore won't be a full group again for a while since their maknae was born in 1999 and so doesn't need to enlist until 2029, and I think only 4 members are exempt from military duty? bc some foreigners + s.coups suffered a bad injury which exempted him
If you think this doesn't sound like kpop then you are new to seventeen my bro their songs do sound like this because they have two American members and two chinese members and on another hand svt's producer is woozi who's also follows alot of western idols i think this somg is definitely svt song doesn't sound different to me and pls check credits they make their own music
Also, kpop is highly influenced by the west to begin with. On thing about SVT is that they experiment with different styles and concepts(they told many this in Maestro). Its about making good music with meaningful lyrics not just a style or setup of a genere
Why are the comments acting like DJ Khalid didn't do anything to help produce the song. You can definitely hear his touch on here even if he wasn't the "main producer." This also is one of Seventeen's more western sounding songs and I listen to their music.
i guess you dont have any idea whats going on about that, this particular song became controversial because of that person, we hate the collaboration yes, but the song is MAINLY made by Bumzu and Woozi, DJK is only 3rd on the credits
"...want my KPOP to be KPOP." I'm happy you said that. I've been noticing that people are claiming their group is not "KPOP" as if it's now a bad word to be labeled as KPOP. It's okay to try some western song but don't lose your soul in the process. That being said, I love this song and there were some elements of them in the song. Let KPOP be KPOP. For that, I go listen to actual western artists.
17 has been trying to break the top 20 100 billboard charts in the Western markets since their fourth mini album. So I only imagine that their goal remains the same by their 12th and this is a very large factor into why they even included DJ Khaled on the track to begin with, other than the reason that they admire him a lot as an artist so they included him in the production.
Please react to solo Coachella version by JENNIE in pink dress and you and me Coachella fancam version in blue dress PLEASE 🥺🫶✨ I love your videos and appreciate your efforts 💜
DJ Khaled was soooo NOT needed on this track... I really don't like any of the songs he is on... Idk.... The song is great! I love it. They killed it. Producer Woozi just knows he's stuff.
The song is good but not my number 1 favorite on the album I prefer the b-side songs eyes on you and 1to13 Dj khaled participated for the tittle track only

Khaled is only credited in the production and that on 3rd place. Everything else is made my the usual people. Woozi and Bumzu mainly
Either way, you can hear DJ Khaled's touch in the beat

Just fyi woozi is the main producer...
Another masterpiece album from Woozi
Seungkwan said woozi was skeptical with the song genre during production but once they listened to it they agreed that it was THE SONG for seventeen. The put a lot of hardwork for the album and i hope it does paid off
SEVENTEEN TO THE WORLD 💎

Also I think there are some references to Jun's filming activities (director's chair and the TV) !
it's giving me 90s boyband vibes ♥

Trueee
Lmf is basically modern day fronting
@@05kbs70 This is so true lmao- I knew it sounded familiar with Fronting!

Self produced idols with another masterpiece. Woozi and Bumzu did it again with spill the feels album. Every song is bop
woozi and bumzu (svt's in-house producers) so they are the ones that has greater contribution over the composition.
THANKS A LOT FOR REACTING TO THIS, CHECK OUT THEIR FULL ALBUM ❤️
Edit: (he is faster then my Wi-Fi)
Brix, you should really check more SVT and you would know this song is their genre and not "westernized".
