    I have been training from almost 3 years. I have taken 1g protein per pound. And have taken 0.8g per pound body weight. And there was no difference which I noticed. Instead my digestion was good and I didn’t feel bloated or heavy on 0.8g protein per pound of body weight.

    1 gram per pound has to be taken keeping in muscles wt and not actual body wt. One has to calculate lean mass and than multiply with 1. Hence ultimately the result will be similar to 0.7 x body wt. This has been taught to us in nutrition coaching. Somewhere somehow lean body wt got replaced with total body wt. also when you want to gain wt carbs play more role than protein and in this situation you can lower your protein to accommodate more carbs as carbs are protein sparing. In fat loss it is must to have your protein intake more than carbs and you can go upto 1.5 grams per pound of lean mass. Because in fat loss there is a high probability to loose muscles second protein is thermogenic so it helps you to burn more calories

    • @chiragshah139
      @chiragshah139 4 роки тому

      @rkdhiman 318 when you considering KG the number will be 2.3 KG per lean mass in KG. As i mentioned in my post if you are working out to build muscles than stick to 150 - 160 grams of protein. If are loosing fat aim for 200 grams of protein for you.

    • @chiragshah139
      @chiragshah139 4 роки тому

      @rkdhiman 318Please do not assume that hair loss is due to less protein. For Vegan it is difficult but not impossible there are protein shakes for vegans supplement with that. There are many diets for vegans out there on internet which might help you. One of the strongman is vegan and many other elite athletes are vegan. Too much of analyze will make you paralyze. I am also vegetarian so even i have limited resources for lean protein but still i started gym and its been a decade and i am still doing it. Apart from diet i supplement my protein requirements through protein shakes. It is MUST for vegeterians and vegans whoever wants to say whatever but supplementation is necessary. You can do it if you are determined.

    If I am not wrong , Army persons are fit and they have the best shapes as per their work is considered . So my brother who is serving army told me that they eat 0.5- 0.6 g protein per pound of their weight . Let's add the scenerio of us who is into building muscles we can start it from 0.5 g/pound. And then slowly increasing it as per our body responds and as per body weight goal. I do powerlifting and I eat roughly around 0.7g protein per pound of my weight . Will take it to 0.8 if I need to. Coz eating too much will only cause it to excrete it out or do damage to our body. Thanks for making a video on this topic. And yes don't follow those who is into using gears.

    I agree with 0.8g/b protein to 0.9. I think it's very optimal for me. But should we calculate Lean body mass only?. I weigh167lbs out of that 15-20 lbs is fat. So as I'm bulking my protein goes higher than lean body mass including carbs as well. I combine animal and plant based protein too.

    I wanted to ask that if my weight is 90 kg and i want to shred to 70 kg (15-20kg fat loss). So should i calculate taking my weight excluding fat or including fat.
    Also what happens to the no. of protien/lb if we go on a diet for some time in order to shred. Do we need to increase the protein for some time to reach our goal and then go back to nutritional phase instead of diet.
    Please help us out.

    • @SmartnFit
      @SmartnFit  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Sukant
      If you wanna get to 70kg, you have to be on a Caloric Deficit. You have to take your bodyweight which includes everything including your skin, bones, fat, water, muscles.
      If you're on a Shredding phase, again you have to be on a Deficit. You may increase the Protein intake or keep it the same but again you have to be in Deficit to be in Shredded. Then, when u achieve your goal, just eat in maintenance.

      @@SmartnFitthanks alot for replying. It means alot to me.
      Sure sir, i know i have to be in a deficit and everything. I have deeply studied it, but how to get that rough idea in order to calculate the my maintainance calories. Do i take my weight excluding my fat percentage which comes out to be around 70 kg to calculate maintenance calories or do i go with with my actual weight including everything which is 90 kgs because in 70 kgs my maintainance calories come somewhere around 2200 and if i take 90 kgs it comes around 3250 calories according to calorie calculator after entering my age height and weight.
      Please help in this because this alone is the one i am not able to find out.

    my body weight is around 150 lbs, and my intake on avg remains around 0.4 g/lbs or lower. and I'm lifting from 3-4 years now, I have seen major muscle development but now i realized I had mostly done the heavier exercises like bench press( 65KG/143lbs), deadlift ( 1RMX 115KG/ 253lbs) and squats ( 1RMX 100KG/220lbs), my height is around 5'4 and my chest is around 42' at peak with arms 15' at peak.........currently on goal to reduce my body fat %........well I think i should increase protein intake at least by adding extra 20-25gm a day by making home-made soya granuels and peanut butter bars for a week........then it would be around 0.55 gm/lbs, but I think it may take longer to build muscle but consistent training is important because I have not seen much definition in my arms, abs, my shoulder i feel is developed, so Im trying to take break from heavy exercises for a while and focus on lagging body parts..........well first i'll test if it works for me or not I mean 0.3 g/lbs protein...

    Yess , I truly agree with your words ustaad that we don't need 1 gram of protein per body weight in pounds and jo bhi log zyada protein lete hai first of all unki body se smell bhi bohot aati hai kyuki protein me amino acids hote hai jo break down hokar ammonia me convert ho jaate hai jisse body me smell aati hai aur iske saath hi zyada Protein lene se indigestion ho jaata hai aur aap zyada calories bhi consume nahi kar paate ho kyuki protein aapki body ko full rakhta hai aur jin logo ko apna muscle size badhana hai woh log 0.8 grams protein per pound of body weight le sakte hai main chiz bas Aapko apna carb intake badhana hoga jisse aap ek calorie surplus me aa jaaye aur pure lean muscle mass gain kare kyuki jitna bhi zyada protein aap consume karoge uska koi fayda nahi hoga aap bas apne paise barbaad karoge aur apna digestion kharab karoge waise bhi protein kaafi mehenga hota hai isliye kisi bhi faaltu fitness influencer ki advice follow na kare aur ustaad ne jo baat kahi woh Totally sahi hai and I agree with that thank you -

      Yeah, as per Research.
      However, Pro Bodybuilders go for as much as 2-2.5g Protein per pound. This doesn't mean they're wrong or research is wrong. It means they have individual goals and requirements. So 0.77g/lb is the number, from the research, above which nothing more was observed in terms of muscle growth. But, one can customize and get this number up as the their requirements.

    Sir, if someone is taking protine 0.8 gm/lbs/day. Assuming required protine intake is 100 gm/day.he is taking 100 gm protine from chicken (assuming). Chicken's BV is 0.79. so his body is getting 79 gm of protein. So he is in a protein deficit state.my question is what should he do?
    Should he increase his protine intake or stick to 100 gm?
    Please sir reply this comment or make a video on it if possible.... THANK YOU...LOTS OF LOVE

    Scale wouldn't show accurate weight when measured on carpet. (If it's a thick carpet)
    Measure on regular flooring.
