I also own that Gunnir A380. I don't know what kind of configuration you have but mine is running around 10 to 15fps faster than yours with the same exact settings that you have for those games. The cpu that I have is just an older Ryzen 5 2600 with 16gb 3600mhz cl18 ram. I just turned ON the 4g decoding (resizable bar) in the bios.
I am thinking that these A380 cards will really shine in a couple of years when it is 3rd Gen Ryzen and 10th and 11th gen Optiplex systems are being sold dirt cheap, and these cards are available for $50-75. By then it is likely Intel will have decent older DX support, and it will likely be less important anyway.
On the Nvidia side, you can also get used 1660s in the same price range as the A380, including some Supers and Tis. Those should stomp the A380, as well.
So the gaming performance of the A380 is basically that of the 8-year-old Radeon 380X, but with new features like AV1 encoding... Good to know. I think I'll avoid putting it on my wish list. Looking forward to seeing what the next generation can offer though.

Right Dawid! People don't understand how good the cards like the RX 6600 and 6650 XT (Other cards are available - these cards being amazing does not invalidate your choice of cheap overpowered GPU! 😀) are for the price! While people are busy with "Well at 4K with max settings and showcase RT enabled you need an RTX 234523460" - the FACT is that the VAST majority of people still only have 1080p monitors. The fact very few people (Aka most reviewers) do not actually recognize that an RX 6600 ACTUALLY slays at 1080p is borderline criminal negligence! 😀- The problem is that there IS a lower limit to this - and just like the GT 1630 - the A380 simply doesn't meet it. The real problem for these cards is the fact that you can get cards like the RX 6600 for 180$ now - and something like a used RTX 2060 - for about the same price as this card - meaning it might be "a lot more" in % - however when building a PC and looking at the full system price - it's not that much - and the performance is not even comparable. It's a fun toy - the same with the A750 and A770 - however I would NEVER recommend anyone who is not VERY MUCH into tinkering with stuff get one over the AMD and Nvidia options. The A750 and A770 are also AMAZING performance for the price..... when they work.... when they don't then good luck figuring out why! Build 8 identical systems with the A750. 3 ran flawlessly, 3 ran mostly flawlessly - 2 constantly had issues and crashes. changed up the hardware, now 3 ran poorly, changed it up again, now all of them ran "acceptable"... 2 weeks later the first one flat out died. 3 months later another one died.... No one - INCLUDING Intel - could explain it - nor excuse it. And before you ask - I marked down which cards did what to keep track. The first one that died was one of the 2 initial GPUs which had issues, the second one was one of the ones which ran flawlessly in all 3 "builds"... so no pattern there.
I'll point out something you didn't mention about the ARC: Take a look at memory util claims in the RTSS overlay. Particularly with CP2077 and BFV. There is a substantial drop in 'amount of memory used over what the card has' between older drivers and new ones, and that is likely where the minor improvements in frames and 1%s came from. It's also interesting seeing how much more VRAM the ARC card is using compared to the 1630 in general, even in games where the 1630 is running better, like GTA5. It would be interesting to see how the ARC actually performs if they ever get memory management handled in an efficient way.
Is there a low profile A380 with no auxiliary power requirement? If it draws only 75W, it might be a nice option for SFF cases which don't need the very high 3D performance of an RTX A2000 or RTX 4060LP.
if you have a dedicated gpu and you go into task manager, under GPU you'll find "Dedicated GPU memory" and "Shared GPU memory". It means it's using your system ram as an extra buffer so that your gpu doesn't have to use your SSD or even worse your HDD when the game calls for more Vram.
While I'm not interested in Arc, I might be interested in Battlemage or Celestial, so here's hoping Intel keeps at it. It's been such an improvement since launch.
Nvidia is great at recycling, instead of throwing away bottom barrel chip they recycle them into 1630.

@PolecanePC She is thirsty, maybe I will look into that. Thanks!
@@hiriotapa1983 yeah well those I believe are cards used by limited number of people, let's be honest it's not like most of PC users are going for 'high end' cards
Yes, he probably forgot ReBar.
I bought Arc 750 FE with quite risk . Now i must say its very good deal.
can someone tell what programm david is using at 2:38
and i dont mean the game i mean like to see ho much fps he has or how hot the gpu is.
I didn't realize that I was subscribed to you, but I watch your videos all the time now, sub'd!
You rock man, I really enjoy ur videos, and ur view on products. Keep up the good work. More xeon beasts and intel arc info videos please.
On the Nvidia side, you can also get used 1660s in the same price range as the A380, including some Supers and Tis. Those should stomp the A380, as well.
Dawids videos are fun to watch, the guy is hilarious.
So the gaming performance of the A380 is basically that of the 8-year-old Radeon 380X, but with new features like AV1 encoding... Good to know. I think I'll avoid putting it on my wish list. Looking forward to seeing what the next generation can offer though.
I love dawid videos, that outra man 😂😂 Keep it up, keep smiling, and keep being you 😁
I can’t wait for Intel to produce a highend card that’ll do 4K 60 and higher something to compete with 4090’s and 7900 xtx cards I think they will one f day maybe in the next green cards it’ll happen I may build a full Intel rig when that happens
I was at Microcenter yesterday picking up parts for a new pc for myself since the kids took over all of my other pcs. I couldn't quite afford a decent gpu yet and I saw the A380 and thought. Na I'll wait.
I am just happy to see some competition
why does noone talk about the RTX 20 series? they cost only 100-400 bucks!
A380 in my local stores cost ~160 USD, rx 6600 ~225 USD. A380 is quite a bargain on my local market, the best you can do at this price point is rx 6400 or gtx 1630. I know its worth adding a few for bucks for triple the performance, but for tight budget it looks like A380 is a king now
Cool video titles:

Thank you for switching to a frametime graph instead of the fps graph... Its a lot easier to tell how smooth/consistent the fps is with the frametime graph. Also it would've made more sense to compare to the RX 6400 or 6500 XT which are more similar price/performance wise. Maybe even the 1650 (tho its difficult to find new) just for some closure for the people who have the 1650.
The Airbus A380 joke landed quite nicely.
Darwin, you are absolutely mad! 🤣 That bombshell! 😂
Thanks for this well done video.
with intels newest drivers my fps in rising storm 2 vietnam hue city went from 50 fps to 85 fps. this was from last week to now.
Im loving it.
Dawid Does Tech Stuff > Saturday morning cartoons
I still vibe with the OG tech stuff intro but one day you gotta remix it Dawid
What software are you using to show system information? Like the fps counter and such
Competition in the budget gpu market... insanity.
Aisurix 5500xt is 8gb and $136 USD. have one in my system and it runs warzone on highest, if you’re fine with a constant 85C temp
Your channel literally the weird kid on the block, i like the concept
IDK why people keep overlooking the 6600, it's a damn good card for it's price range.
I gifted a brand new 5700xt to a friend years ago. He was complaining the card kept crashing and wanted to return it to buy an nvidia. I made him update his motherboard bios (B450 Tomahawk) and all the problems disappeared. He is still using the card and is happy with it.
Sir, You are the best tech UA-camr, and have been for some time. If I’m watching your content, my wife will stay up and watch, despite displaying the same appetite for tech vids as a dyed in the wool luddite. You see, you are as funny as any top tier comedian, we’re just blessed you specialise in geeky tech shit, hence why I was lucky enough to stumble across your content. I built my PC 3 years ago, yet you’re my fave UA-camr. Why is that? Because you make me and my (Absolute tech newb) wife Lol each and every video! Please keep doing what you do.
The longer hair look is dope.
Someone get Dawid a gamepass subscription so he can do tests on different games
Hi Dawid. Have you tried the Sparkle Arc cards?
Did you use resizeable bar thingy?
fire video man
Would anyone know what software is being used showing the FPS, temps, ect?
Did I read that correctly... the drivers are 1.3 gigs??? I haven't done drivers in a bit, but that seems like a lot
That 96-bit memory bus is a deal breaker for me
I’ve been waiting for Dawid to revisit the Intel Arc GPUs. Very nice to see that.
I may have missed it but, did you enable resizable bar?
I'll point out something you didn't mention about the ARC: Take a look at memory util claims in the RTSS overlay. Particularly with CP2077 and BFV. There is a substantial drop in 'amount of memory used over what the card has' between older drivers and new ones, and that is likely where the minor improvements in frames and 1%s came from.
It's also interesting seeing how much more VRAM the ARC card is using compared to the 1630 in general, even in games where the 1630 is running better, like GTA5. It would be interesting to see how the ARC actually performs if they ever get memory management handled in an efficient way.
The "Save" button (to save to watch later) is hidden on Firefox, but it shows on Chrome. This is the only channel I sub/follow that has this issue.
Why is afterburner saying you are using 8gb+ of vram sometimes when the a380 only has 6?
Why was the ram usage so low on the gta V on the 1630? Or should I ask why was the ram usage so high on the ARC run for gta V?
For a first gen it's alright. I hope they can do better for Arc Gen 2.
Do you know where to get the Gunnir Photon 16GB A770?
More power means more energy, and more energy means more bills to pay!
Along with more performance.
Paying more to get more. Isn't it how the world works in general?
@@HandleIsNewAndBad Not always, but in general, yes.
don't use the pc at all, 100% power saved
"Google propaganda feed"
ACCURATE!
Not that it matters, but the heatsink underneath the fan shroud of the A380 cooler the heatsink is extruded aluminum, and not machined.
great video david tho the rx 6600 competitor would be the arc a750 not the a380, right?
how about a comparison bw that
Dawid's watch has me intrigued
Fine wine is like when you see an alpha version of a game priced full $60 now gets the full release update after 1 year
Licensing FineWine technology was a smart move
Love my 2070 Super, i will not be buying a new nvidia GPU though.
Going with a 7900 xt for Christmas
hey , what is the motherboard or case that you are using ?
I've never heard of the GTX 16thiddy
That's a nice looking watch bro what is it ?
Is there a low profile A380 with no auxiliary power requirement? If it draws only 75W, it might be a nice option for SFF cases which don't need the very high 3D performance of an RTX A2000 or RTX 4060LP.
How did the Intel GPU hit 7,4GB Vram when it's only a 6GB card? Sorry if the answer is obvious 3:57
When the game require more VRAM than the card has it spill over to system RAM.
if you have a dedicated gpu and you go into task manager, under GPU you'll find "Dedicated GPU memory" and "Shared GPU memory". It means it's using your system ram as an extra buffer so that your gpu doesn't have to use your SSD or even worse your HDD when the game calls for more Vram.
@@PyroCatus I see thx :)
@@maxx1o1 understood, thanks a lot :)
24 FPS on The Last of Us is perfect for that true cinematic experience.
For the glorified display adapter that is 1630, its performance is rather impressive!
What do you use to test it properly
Hey Dawid, I’ve been meaning to ask… Is your channel name a play on “Debbie Does Dallas”?
This shows just how great the RE engine is lol
Yeah, Capcom really have some competent wizards working on their engines given the track record from MT Framework to the current RE Engine.
While I'm not interested in Arc, I might be interested in Battlemage or Celestial, so here's hoping Intel keeps at it. It's been such an improvement since launch.
You mean alchemist. Battlemage and Celestial are also arc, Alchemist is just the A in the name (so next gen would be B770, not A770).
Does the resizable bar on?
