Honorable Mention to the 1987 matchup with both teams winless-and the game ending in a 17-17 tie, or what ABC Sports' Al Trautwig called "College Football's version of the Bataan Death March"
Know I’m months late, but I was at this game and is one of my fondest memories as a Cyclone. Literally saying out loud that if K-State scores one more time I’d leave, only keep my cold butt in the stands for the rest of the game
Found this video in the after-glow of Farmageddon 2024. That game showed why not playing in 2027 would be idiotic. One note: yes, the game is chaotic, but KSU rarely wins as an underdog. Most of the "How did this happen?" games have been ISU winning as an underdog.
If North Carolina and Wake Forest can have non-conference football games while being in the same conference, why can't Farmageddon occur in 2027 as a non-conference game?
ISU has South Dakota State, Iowa, Bowling Green in 2027; Northern Iowa and Tulane in 2028; North Dakota and @ Tulane in 2029; South Dakota and UNLV in 2030. No Iowa 2028-30 which should get resolved. So unless Bowling Green, Tulane, and UNLV (assuming they want the FCS games) can get bought out... KSU has Georgia Southern in 2027; Nothing in 2028; @WSU in 2029 (home and home 2026); and a home and home with Rutgers in 2030/31 Source: FBS Schedules (Granted, I should have looked before this, but I was speaking hypothetically not knowing the schedule commitments)
Just now dawning on me that the purple wildcats shirt in your profile picture is not, in fact, a Northwestern shirt. I was eagerly awaiting a video on our unsung heroes of Evanston
@@lukeontheplains lol. Yeah I admit it truly was bizarre to watch. The snow helped no doubt. BUT I gotta point out that ISU has put their share of skill guys in the NFL lately, but I guess it's still SHOCKING that this year's version of ISU also has guys that are noticeably harder to bring down when the elements give them an advantage over tacklers, yet K State (who is a good team) can't break the same big plays. Must be 100% effort related, ISU's ability to attract and develop skill guy talent obviously has nothing to do with it!
Two of Sama's touchdowns were aided by a guy who entered the transfer portal as soon as the season ended deciding not to wrap up tackle as a business decision. My guess is the coaching staff politely asked him to take a hike after viewing his effort.
I thought Cal-Stanford was 'The Game'. Anyway, I really wish the Big XII suits had decided to keep Farmageddon. A spicy rivalry between two pretty similar schools.
As an Lsu fan who studied river management im taking KStates side in football and agriculture. None of the states on the Mississippi river do a goob of monitoring what they dump into the river, bit Iowa doesnt even try. They use that thing like a toilet for their corn and pig farms. If you wanna start a new farm theyll let you set up and get you running off in a jiffy. And the worst part is corn farmers are useless now cuz they grow too much and live off government money. Get a new crop iowa
Imagine dropping out of a rivalry like this just because you dominated for a couple decades like Snyder did. Oh wait..I’m getting word tcu canceled the iron skillet and justified it because they wanted 7 home games and definitely not because all their fans think playing SMU is beneath them just because they dominated a couple decades, even though plenty of other serious OOC rivalries can be sometimes one sided, such as clean old fashioned hate?Wow. That stinks. This is brought to you by a SMU fan who thinks tcu fans are running from what SMU could be just because they don’t want SMU to ever catch up to them.
It's absolutely a rivalry. The intense vitriol among fans is there, the history is there, the geographic and cultural ties are there... It's a rivalry.

I admire the commitment to making EVERY POSSIBLE AGRICULTURE JOKE
This may not be the most famous, competitive or nationally relevant rivalry. But by God is it the best name for a rivalry.
FARMAGEDOOOOOOOOON!
Honorable Mention to the 1987 matchup with both teams winless-and the game ending in a 17-17 tie, or what ABC Sports' Al Trautwig called "College Football's version of the Bataan Death March"
Sending Snyder out on an L is one of my favorite games in ISU history. After the screwjob the year before, that comeback was cathartic
Well it was not great for me tbh 😂
Know I’m months late, but I was at this game and is one of my fondest memories as a Cyclone. Literally saying out loud that if K-State scores one more time I’d leave, only keep my cold butt in the stands for the rest of the game
The Big12 scheduling Matrix, is why I'm pro divisons/pods. It allows for more protected rivalries.
So excited about the upcoming game this Saturday! So disappointed that it won’t happen in 2027!
Very good history of an overlooked rivalry.
We're going to need a videography of ¡El Assico! eventually.
As an Iowa fan who has had relatives go to K-State its always a good show watching Iowa State get beat. Great vid
I hope the Big 12 changes its mind and keeps this a permanent rivalry.
I really love this content! As a Ute entering the conference it’s great learning all the Big 12 lore. Great work!
Love the amazing content as always hope you wildcats had an amazing thanksgiving rooting for your purple and gray to beat Iowa State!
Nice vid. I hate to be that guy, but it’s the Red River Shootout
Yes, it is. Big 12 neutered the name a couple years ago, if I remember right
Gotta love Farmageddon, go Clones!
I was wondering if you could do context on all of the rivalries in the ncaa. You guys do such great work.
The series has been very lopsided since the turn of the century but the games are almost always super competitive. Go clones
Literally nobody can predict this game. It's total chaos
Happy thanksgiving my dude. Thanks for dropping a new video today
“Some dude named bill snyder” had me cracking up mans a legend
How does this guy not have more subs
I'm not all that good
@@lukeontheplainsbut you can be if you eat more wheat.
this guy wheats.

These videos are gas
Great job 👏🏼
If North Carolina and Wake Forest can have non-conference football games while being in the same conference, why can't Farmageddon occur in 2027 as a non-conference game?
Both schools probably have the non conference schedules booked for 2027, at least I’m pretty sure Iowa State does.

This is beautiful and I love it.
Corn > Wheat

It may well come at some point
its rivalries like this that make college football
Abu Sama is still running. You purple kitties 😸 should think about tackling him.
We're not used to snow in... *checks map* the midwest

I was expecting them to talk about that 2015 embarrassing loss instead of glossing over it
to be honest I just love it because of the name
They should schedule a non conference game in 2027 to keep this streak alive
Do a video on the backyard brawl
do one for oklahoma state and texas tech. This should be turning into one with a name soon.
I REALLY want to do one on the Dust Bowl.

That's "The Big Game"

You have to make a video on the 2023 game
Every game from 2009 to infinity is gonna need a recap, ngl. That's just this game
🌪️🌪️🌪️
Next do the Kansas/Kstate
#bringbackfarmaggeddon
Corn solos btw
K-State Lose to Iowa State :(
The best rivalry in the college football is and I State rivalry not this rivalry though. Iowa Iowa state baby. Yeah i'm an iowa fan please pitty me
Nah you guys are good
nah. it’s ohio state/TTUN. the two states went to war with each other. funny enough wisconsin was the ultimate loser
The best rivalry is Army-Navy. There is an entirely different level of disdain between the two schools that no other rivalry matches.

It's not a rivalry!
It's a rivalry. If nothing else it's a great marketing opportunity for John Deere.
If the fans of both schools think it's a rivalry, it's a rivalry
It's absolutely a rivalry. The intense vitriol among fans is there, the history is there, the geographic and cultural ties are there... It's a rivalry.
