You guys…. I was laughing so hard! “Partying” And your grandmother talked like a “sailor”! I bet those swans are beautiful!
I love to knit anywhere I can: traveling in our truck, on a plane, in airport, doctor office, restaurant, outside in my garden, and, of course, watching you guys! I have not been on a plane for awhile now. But we do RV, so in the truck while traveling; and in camper at night. Other campers usually walk over to ask me about my knitting if I sit outside our camper.
1 knit in bed.i have knitted on the train .sending you both from Ireland love you guys .BRILLIANT thanks for showing .
I just looked up Arne’s grandmother’s saying!!!!! 😂😂😂 LOL
I knit while watching sports or things like Downtown Abbey that I have seen a million times and can just listen to. I try to always have a sock on the go for a small project when out and about. Big projects stay home. I always knit at airports and on planes, ferries and trains and anywhere there is a wait expected, like the doctor or dentist. I also knit at the pool or the beach while on holiday. I have not yet mastered the art of knitting while walking. I think I’d end up on my face! One of my favourites to just sit on the deck listening to the birds and enjoying the garden.
And now, during Covid, I knit during Zoom meetings unless I am taking minutes!!! And of course I always sit and knit with you two!!,
❤️🧶🇨🇦🇳🇴
❤️
I actually knit most places, but I always take it to doctor's appointments. By doing this, I got my dentist involved in knitting. She was preparing to retire and wanted something new to learn. Fun to see you again. Stay well.
Arne please write a book on your childhood. I think it would be so interesting for all of us.
Thank you for keeping in touch thru your sabbatical.
Enjoy all of your videos from Indiana USA
Thank you!
I always take my knitting where ever I go.Especially when I know there's going be a lot of time my on my hands. I use to do home healthcare, an sometimes I would have no where to go, so parks and cemeteries offered perfect peace and quiet.
What lovely chairs and garden. We are having a drought and heatwave here. We can only water our gardens for 20 minutes twice a week. Needless to say it’s hard having a lovely garden. I’m able to keep my rock garden beautiful , but not so much the rest. I try to keep my yard natural with lots of drought tolerant plants. Anyway, I love knitting while watching television and I do knit on planes. I love you guys, and have been following you forever. You brighten my day, and are such an inspiration to me❤️❤️❤️
It’s so difficult to watch a garden suffer. I hope you get some relief soon. I was just out moving all of my succulents away from the rain.
My mum used to knit dresses for my sister and me on a knitting machine. I remember the quiet and soothing sound it made.
❤️
Hello to my two favourite crafters/boys. The background looks so beautiful & very inviting.
Thank you on behalf of Erik!
I hope you are having a wonderful summer! Happy knitting, gardening, and renovating!
Yes! We hope your summer is amazing too!
One of the craziest places I’ve knit was at a heavy metal concert. 🤣
Haha, that must have had some impact on your tension!
I'm impressed!
Are you Finnish? There is the Heavy Metal Knitting Championships that started in Joensuu, Finland and this year the 2021 Heavy Metal Knitting World Championship will be online!
@@ZanzibarCat if I am, it’s higher up my ancestral tree...although I’m inclined to think we are all a little bit of everywhere! 😄 That sounds like a really cool event!
What a funny episode! Thanks. And, I can't multitask either. Have a great weekend.
I had not seen this broadcast before! Loved it! Laughed all the way through, and I still got my Arne and Carlos "fix" for Sunday. It makes me happy, watching you, it's like a wonderful visit with dear friends. It did seem a bit odd without Freya and Helmer announcing the presence of nearby moose!
❤️
Moose, moose.......🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for airing this re-run ... I absolutely LOVE Arne's sense of humor!
Erik, you have a lovely garden. I hope Arne and Carlos didn't steal those lovely chairs!!!! I enjoyed this rerun. I must have missed this one.
We didn’t, but rewatching this makes us want to go back!🤣
I take my knitting with me almost as company ... you never know when you can pick up your friend and K a few sts ... so fun ...knit at long red lights, in line anywhere, at the beach, and mostly in front of you tube videos and movies thru my laptop computer.
I’m watching this, sitting by the lake knitting with my dog Roxy - loved this episode. Arne always makes me smile.
Thanks for a great laugh this afternoon. Have a good holiday.
I knit in public transport, in restaurants when waiting to be served an in queues. Arne seems to be on high, so happy here. Did you drink before live streaming? Must have been so fun spending time with your grandmother with vocabulary stronger than sailors. 🤣🤣
Not drunk, just excited!
Happy New Year from Scotland, a country with a strong knitting tradition
Happy New Year!
Ty enjoyed your rerun. Hope your holiday goes well and happy 😃
Another fabulous repeat. It was new to me & I throughly enjoyed it. U both make me smile with ur antics. Wow! U both have travelled. I don't think I've heard ur mention a place & not been there. I waiting for COVID-19 to be make safer so I can travel nxt year. Til ur return. Have a great time. 😎😎🥳🥳🍾🍾🥂🥂👋👋👋👋❤❤
Hi Arne, hello Carlos. Wow, time has flown by since this video. I enjoyed watching your re run. Thanks guys see you soon. Take care xxx
See you soon!
Erik’s yard is beautiful and it’s neat to see what other outdoor areas look like in Norway. I really enjoy taking my knitting everywhere with me and I’d say the most unusual was on a crowded boat on my way to snorkel. I couldn’t knit on the return though because we were getting too much sea spray ;)
❤️
I have knitted in church, at the beach, in the woods, on the bus, in the car and in bed, even in the hospital with an IV in my arm!
Swans are so beautiful, could you design a stuffed animal swan? 😁 Thank you for cheering me up today. I knitted the whole time on a baby blanket, almost done! I hope to try the 6 ply sock yarn if I can find some on my next shopping spree!
I knit almost everywhere I go! When I taught high school, I knitted in the hall during passing period and at sporting events.
Thanks for showing this episode, I’m sort of new and hadn’t seen that one, so much fun. 😁🥰
I hope you're having a wonderful time. I like to knit while waiting my turn for a doctor or dentist appointment. It keeps me calm instead of being nervous.
Grandma’s a sailor😂😂😂 Thanks for the reruns. Looking forward to another live stream sometime soon.
Hope you both are having a wonderful summer..
Enjoy these repeats However will love when. You return. Enjoy your vacation. God bless and keep you both safe and well
Thank you and see you soon Joyce!
Rerun comment.... loved it. Reference of what you had for dinner and Arne's salad with Avacado... I paused: They don't have Avacados in Norway...oh, it's like people in California eating Lutefisk!
🤣
My best selling pattern was knit while primitive canoe camping. I also have kniit while watching live theater.
❤️
Glad to have found you on UA-cam (searched for Pairfect). Doing socks again, after finishing knitted jumper. Watching you guys chatting/knitting during strict lockdown, is very relaxing. Doing my first Pairfection socks.
Cheerio from Sydney, Australia.
Happy knitting and welcome to our channel Evelyn!
Missed this. Didn’t start watching until 2020. Need to binge!
Have fun!
I used to knit in church. And I make sure I have two projects when on my Viking River Cruise. And I buy souvenir yarn on all my trips.
👍Thank you for sharing Claudia!
This episode was even more fun the second viewing
Great viewing. I saw you 2 yrs ago at the festival of quilts, too shy to come forward, but, if I get the chance to go again and you are there, I’m definitely going to say hello!
You should!
This was a fun episode! I was wishing that I could take part😊
Loved watching this rerun.
❤️
I am knitting at the moment, sitting watching you.xx
Have fun!
I've knitted in the theatre, the library, cafes and on the inter-islander ferry between North and south island in New Zealand. I tried knitting on a plane but the rules about taking knitting needles on board change so I don't risk it any more. Nice to see your livestream rerun in the sun. It's winter here in New Zealand so I'm dreaming of warmer days. Enjoy your holiday!
Hi Arne&Carlos,
Enjoyed watching the rerun today😀
Especially when you both gave me a wave🥰
Enjoy your break
KimX
❤️😍
Totally entertaining!
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 I just had to backtrack to tv to watch the wind blowing across you.🤣😂🤣😂 ah bless yo both.xx
🤣
This was funny I hope some day we get to see more live streams.I knitted a at funeral. I Was making baby socks for a friends baby shower and endured a few raised eyebrows from older relatives thinking I had a secret.
😅
Thoroughly enjoyed watching and laughing with you. Hilarious. Take care of yourselves.
You as well!
I hope you’re both having fun on vacation. I can’t wait to go on vacation too. At the moment due to my recovery I’m stuck at home, which is a good place to be. Travel safe and be well. ☮️🌈🌞
We hope you feel better soon!
I’m much better then last year and thank you for caring. Every dark cloud has a silver lining and mine is I have 10+ people knitting socks for the chemo patients at the clinic where I had mine last year. We’re committed to knitting one pair a month since it helps a lot for neuropathy.
Thanks for the replay! You both make me laugh! I can knit anywhere, I don’t knit socks on the plane anymore as I lost a needle between the seats!
Oops
Sorry I missed the live stream, I think you can knit even on planes. There are many men that knit, even some very famous football and other sports men here in the USA. I follow a couple of men quilters also. Loved the show especially Arne's giggles. Such fun for everyone. Cheryl Michign
Nice garden. I knit everywhere.
Enjoyed this episode even more the second time around! Would love to hear more about both your childhoods and more about Arne’s grandmother’s sayings, in UA-cam appropriate language, of course 😉.
Too bad this wasn’t in my time zone i remember visiting OSLO seeing all the greenery on their houses looks cozy i this was so many years ago i went on a cruise lol i got sea sick lost 20 pounds so no more ships for me lol we had snow on June i8 here in Newfoundland got a picture of it lol i knit everywhere hospitals waiting for the buses in the malls. The securities in the mall laughs at me calls me the here comes the crafter. Doing a cable hat and socks not fancy like you guys lol doing a mile a minute afghan see how that goes crochet. So nice where you are there cozy chairs from Newfoundland Canada
❤️
Love this episode 😊. LOL. Yeah you should do more live stream episodes. Great to see you! Keep enjoying your vacation😎
I knit everywhere, never leave the house without it. My friend knits in the movies and in the theatre.
She was rebuked by an annoyed theater attendee who claimed that her needles were too loud.
😂
Once when driving around Nashville, we encountered a big traffic jam. I got out my knitting and knit for a bit, while waiting for traffic to move. My husband, who was the passenger, thought it funny that I was driving and knitting, but not at the same time!
That is funny!
arne - your curls have really come back - very nice
not a fan of live stream because it seems so much time is wasted on reading the comments and saying HI instead of you guys telling your stories but this time it initiated some great banter from you two
👍🏻
Arne & Carlos,
While on our 1st Anniversarysecond mini-moon, we were traveling around the Duluth, Minnesota and stumbled across Enger Tower. You have spoke n very much about your King and Queen, I thought you might enjoy the article. It refers to Crown Prince Olav and Crown Princess Märtha and King Harald V, and his wife Queen Sonja
Enger Tower stands above Lake Superior, providing panoramic views of the Twin Ports. Each of the tower's levels has windows that are accessible by stairs. A green beacon mounted on top of the tower can be seen for many miles. Originally the second floor contained several balcony sections. The balconies eventually fell into disrepair and were removed. Their former entrances were blocked with metal bars.[2]
Enger Tower was built as a tribute to businessman and philanthropist, Bert Enger (1864-1931). Enger was a Norwegian immigrant who first ran an unsuccessful business in Pine City,[3] but later found success in Duluth as a furniture seller. Enger bequeathed a sizable portion of his estate to the city of Duluth. This included the land known as Enger Hill which includes Enger Park and Enger Golf Course.[4][5][6]
The tower was first dedicated by Crown Prince Olav and Crown Princess Märtha of Norway on June 15, 1939. Enger Tower and Park were renovated during 2011. The royal couple of Norway, King Harald V, and his wife Queen Sonja, came to re-dedicate the newly renovated tower on October 17, 2011, which his parents had dedicated 72 years before.[7]
My wife, Kathie, in all of her glory holding a skein of your yarn. It’s too bad the color assortment was not to her liking OR I WOULD HAVE PURCHASED MANY SKEINS for her.

I knit during the intermission at the symphony, and also on the ferry traveling between the San Juan islands…
❤️
I’m a student, and I’ve been knitting in class for years and years (although here in the US that’s very uncommon). A few weeks ago, I tried to knit at a baseball game, but the security guards wouldn’t let me bring my needles into the stadium! The strangest place, though, was probably knitting on top of a mountain in Colorado.
Those were very strict security guards!
I knit in the car, before appointments, in coffee shops, book stores and as I walk. Yay
Busy!
I take simple knitting projects on our car trips. My husband does most of the driving, so I knit.
I have actually knitted on an airplane, in the car when I travel with my friend, and when I go visit my dad at the nursing home.
Always prepared!
Arne's shirt is divine.
❤️
What a nice shirt Arne!!!!
Thank you!
Hi guys - I knit anywhere. Last week I took my needles with me on the Settle to Carlisle railway trip we went on. I take small knitting when on a trip like that so this time it was a baby hat knitted on five needles and is for prem babies. It is rather like taking sock knitting as it is so easy to transport. The train back was delayed so thank goodness I did have my knitting as it didn’t bother me how late the train was. I cannot just sit and watch tv - I always have my knitting with me. Great seeing you again - your comments are so funny. Hope you are having a super break at home. 🍰
Hi guys nice to see you
You too!
I knit in the car, at sporting events, believe it or not even in church! Our minister doesn’t mind at all!
My mom’s Aunt always said “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop!” So we always had a craft or cooking project, gardening or something to do. To this day I have a really hard time sitting and doing nothing. My arms get sore with too much knitting and crocheting so I think I may learn to draw. You can learn just about anything on You Tube!
I 've grown up with the sentence:
do you have work, and if not, I give you some work.
I don’t even think about men knitting, crocheting, doing needlepoint, or quilting, etc anymore. It seems perfectly ordinary to me now. Anyway. It’s always a pleasure to see you. Thanks for your videos. I’m learning to knit the Scandinavian way. Even the Norwegian purl which looked daunting at first! I got so tired of ribbing and stitches like the seed stitch so I switched to Scandinavian with Norwegian purl.
so much fun! 🤣💗
Thank you!
Liking all re-runs
That is great to hear Sue!
Lol i love Jean been watching her for years
❤️
Funny show thanks for making me laugh.
I’m with Arne. Can’t watch tv without knitting.
I better come in autumn, because I don't like too high temperatures. Till 25°C. it is ok, but more heat I don't need. 🤣🤣🤣
I only knit at home, with my friends, the doctor or in train. But at the moment only at home with a mug of coffee and a good crime audio book. 😁😁😁
Keep healthy!
You as well!
I have knit on the Great Wall when I was tired of climbing and needed a break. Also I knit in an ambulance on the way to hospital with a broken ankle. I pretty much knit everywhere and anywhere. I am not allowed to take to weddings and funerals!
That is probably the most exotic spot so far
In an Alley in St. Augustine, FL, on an airplane, a river steam engine paddle boat open top deck, and my friend has knit next to a Lighthouse.
Also, forget being frightened of swans. It’s the geese you need to beware of. They are the evil ones.
Thank you Susie!
I’m Marsha, Alan’s wife! I just returned from a Bluegrass festival where I was knitting and several others were, too!
Hi Marsha!
Anywhere! In a car (not driving), at appointments, at work (lunch), in the woods, at zoom meetings 🙄, in the garden, on a boat, in the bath tub, anywhere i can! I always leave a project bag in the car in cae i have a chance.
Enjoy your holiday!!!
Thank you!
Just a quick one:miss you two very much 💕🐩
I knit in the car while I'm a passenger, not the driver. It makes long car trips more bearable.
Hahaha the screen!!!!!!
OK, it’s 2021. Where is Arne’s book? I’ll buy it! Love Autobiography’s! Carlos? And you? All the world travel, and cultural knowledge you possess? Where is your book too?
😍
My grandmother said 'Idle hands are the devil's workshop' ...Also, learned to cast on and knit stitch on a Baltic cruise, then spent a few extra days in Copenhagen where the tour bus drivers came to call me the knitting lady as I practiced while I waited for the next bus to arrive. Still am annnoyed when I forget to have some knitting to work on during wait times...
Its great to always have a project in your bag
I hope you can get to Dollywood since you are big fans. I've never been.
I save my videos for Sunday. Surprised to remember all the birthday comments for me, Catherine Silver, OMG Im three years older.,
You boys inspire and amaze me. Keep up the good work. I've been knitting for 52 years and learn something from you each time I see you.
Oh, I also knit on stage for open mike night, with acoustic guitar accompaniment
😍
I was knitting socks while i was walking the camino de Santiago de Compostela in Spain…..
Just looked up Ingrid Bergman knitting. Cool!!!!
I’ve not really knitted anywhere very strange, but was fascinated to see the diver Tom Daily knitting at the Olympics whilst he was waiting
Yes, there have been so many articles about him and knitting
Arne and Carlos thinking of both of you. We will be here when you return. Please pet Freya and Helmer for me
Will do!
🤩🤣👍😁🥰🇳🇱thank you!
You are welcome!
Here in my town, the weather now is 36 degrees, it is very hot. But I get used of it.
Stay cool Agnes!
Looks like you are enjoying yourselves. I am knitting firework sweater, knitting in the car relaxes me it was really hot in Vernon 39 was on a mini vacay. Home now enjoying the sunshine on the west coast. Brambleknits/Etsy/Instagram
I was doing finger loop braiding while listening to you.
❤️
I knit in planes and airports. In the car, everywhere, when I am on duty at the museum....
Knitting socks as I watch. It’s my birthday!
Happy Birthday!
