Orthodox Chants help my troubled mind and soul, even though I don't understand Russian language. St Basil's Cathedral, looks awesome and would have liked to have seen it. Spasisba, or something like that .
Holy Holy Holy Are thou O Lord my soul will praise thy Holy Name, let my tounge be the tounge be blessed to speak of thee, by the prayers of all the Saints and Holy martyrs and Holy fathers and all the brothers and sisters Lord Have Mercy ☦️
I'm confused why other Russian choral music might not be good... Also, this is not chant, this is polyphonic choral music. But, otherwise, thank you for sharing! It is really good!
@@SilouanSea thank you for sharing. honestly I love all of it, but I'm trying to entice those who may think they don't like it. I just want people to hear it, really.
Forgive me...I understand what you are intimating but I want to encourage you that this is Russian Orthodox Music: Choral and Chant. The main difference is they are close to Western Notation and also the western frequency of 440hz on the note A. I must add though sometimes its hard to find on a piano because even their choral music appears microtonal. Their chant is different also and it is polyphonic but it sounds different because it doesn't have what is known as a "Byzantine East," sound that is the apogee of microtonality when it comes to Polyphonic Chant. Chant was never intended to be four part harmony which you'll find in most Russian Orthodox Music. But they do at times embrace a "polyphony," where there is an 'Ison." holding a steady note with another melody in movement in and out up and down it which was the second song on this beautiful video. I hope this helps. Also, my response is an attempt to be palatable to simple conversation so I chose not to be loudly technical. But if this didn't help or brought confusion I can respond more academic. Let me know. Either way, Happy New Year. Lord Jesus Christ Son of God, Have Mercy on me a sinner!"

If only orthodox Christians have not created idols out of saint, you should not pray to anyone except Jesus .
