Crazy Husband Sleeping Outside in 22°F!!

- My husband decided to sleep outside in a 22°F snow storm to test out his cold weather sleeping bag. Testing equipment is great but I think he also just wanted to camp outside on the porch! lol 🤣🤣 😉

I was lmbo every time you said, “Good night, I love you, I miss you”…..all I could think of was if you don’t leave him alone and go back inside he will never miss you! 🤣 You can’t miss someone if they’re always there! 😂 Maybe next time he should put a 2 man tent up, that way you wouldn’t miss him! ♥️

OMG I know. I'm so clingy. Lol 🤣. He goes hiking without me when it's all snowy and icy and we talk on the phone until his service goes out, then we message each other on our gps devices telling each other how much we love each other and he's like..."Ok, I'm gonna start hiking now". Lol 🤣. I miss him the moment he leaves! ❤️

Being snuggled up in the porch area really saved him from the winds. Out in the wild it won’t be so protected.

I LOVE camping and hiking and backpacking and super primitive camping...all that stuff...just not when it's cold! Nope! I hate the cold! Lol 😂

Honey, we’re married to the same man!!! We live in Gig Harbor, WA, & guess who slept outside in the cold and, yes, even snow, for the past two weekends?! Yep! My Mister! Same reason to test the sleeping situation he has ready for winter outings! However, my Mister didn’t use a tent either way! I wish this comment box would let me send you a couple of pics and his short video, but it won’t.
Maybe our Misters have the same adventurous spirit that just can’t be tamed!
BTW, I didn’t realize there were more wives whose Misters did this! Maybe we should form a little club?
Oh, and Mister gets ready on our porch and local rivers for his annual Alaska river trips! Sometimes alone. Sometimes he brings one guy along. 10 days, no electricity (solar), no phones, no indoor potties! I’m just not inclined for this sleepless night on the ground!

OMG they must be kin somehow!!! Was he prior military by any chance? I was born and raised in the mountains and he was there since he was 5 until we came up here to Boston for his work. (Can't wait to move back home!) So, we both have always loved nature, hiking, backpacking, and camping. We throw in some car camping occasionally but we both prefer just backpacking in with everything we're going to bring and hiking for a while until we're way out there and just...really primitive camping. I've definitely slept without a tent many times but I just can't handle doing it in the cold weather.

That is a really good idea! Living in the NE I e been concerned about the possibility of a grid down during extreme wind and Ice. I'm thinking of getting a tent etc for putting in our living room. I've got quilts to hang over windows etc and to use but I've also got a senior cat to consider. Please tell us how this works out ❤️
He said he was super warm!! We have cold weather sleeping bags, 2 or 3 tents now, tons of blankets...look into water purifying tablets and water filters for camping. We have some that you can pour dirty outside water through that's supposed to filter everything out but also have a UV light wand that you use as a secondary purifying method after filtering it!!
You just have to watch out for the cat claws though!
