"If you start going offtrack, don't panic. Just go back to where you messed up and adjust your path instead of starting over from the very beginning.
If you do adjustments like this often, you will be able to spot patterns of mistakes, if there are any. Once you have this valuable information,
you can predict mistakes before they happen, allowing you to stay on the right course and prevent mistakes in the future"

Another method I used when I was doing hand lettering (back in the 70’s) similar to your dashed line method. Start with a vertical and horizontal lines, a cross...( you can use it later anyway) then at 12:00, 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00... draw a short arc, then fill in the blanks with similar arcs gradually using fewer and fewer. I landed my first lettering job by being able to draw a so called perfect circle for a letter O, a lot of practice for sure. Love your tutorials.

    1. hold the pencil with dominant hand
    2. rest that hands wrist on the paper (the smaller the touching surface the better)
    3. put pencil on paper
    4. use your other hand to rotate the paper
you just used your hand as a compass to draw a nearly perfect circle.
change angle of the pencil or the point where your hand touches the paper to vary the circumference

I just did this practice today. The one where only moving your shoulder and elbow seems to work the best for me since my circles come out much faster. My right hand produced better circles with this technique while my left hand produced shaky ovals. But I'll keep trying until I get better at it! Thanks for the helpful tutorial!

Dude it looks so ugly when you have a drawing that looks like a drawing and BAM you have a perfect circle in your drawing. Also you dont get progress at all by doing that. Imagine you have made masterpieces with a compass and then you will go to a competition and you are not allowed to use a compass and you draw like a 3 year old
