For anyone watching this and thinking of doing the same. Use dental floss to cut the tape so you don’t mark your boot lid or crack the spoiler clear coat.
Some people heat these pieces first like you but then work it off with something like dental floss to remove the item like car emblems could work here also
Just a suggestion for your future videos try to mix the volumes for the music and the talking parts better. It’s pretty annoying cranking the volume up and down all the time because it’s not equalized and your either blowing out the speakers or whispering.
funny thing is, i did that this time.. i lowered the music sections to 80% instead of 100% like i normally do. Was the voice too low or the music still too loud?
@@LastHumansGarage ah that sucks and I feel like the music was the right volume that I normally leave it at but the voice was whispering. I just had it so loud to hear what you were saying it would be overbearing when the music would come on.
Bro, hell yeah I watched it until the end. It's always nice to see the Master at work. Whenever you whip out the clay bar, we can be sure that you mean business :-) Would be funny if you could say some lines in Irish, would be nice. Do you plan to replace the spoiler by an identical black optics version? I am not sure if these exist from OEM? To be frank, I think the S3 OEM spoiler is too modest. Audi should have done a somewhat more substantial version. There is a big carbon variant as optional from factory for the RS3, but it's like 900 euro, I will check.

I use fishing line. 👍
good tip
Nice and clean removal. I really dig that S3 color. There's no denying who it is if I ever see it around town.
Right on
Fish line is the way I do it. I'm kinda surprised the paint didn't crack from bending the spoiler.
ive used that too
Oh and I belive D&C that movie is what started that line by McConaughey
Yup

ya, but i always found dental floss to be too weak and always break. thats why i dont use it anymore.
Looks better to me
I don't understand manufacturers obsession with fitting rear spoilers on sedans.....
Nice work
Thanks Art, of Vandelay Industries
although i have been running my rs3 oem spoiler for a couple years.. but i DO like the non spoiler look a lot too...
Have you ever considered fishing line and Goo Gone? It works well, also.
i consider it from time to time.
Take it out in the snow!!
no snow here.. it snowed for an hour.. but nothing on the ground.
@@LastHumansGarage gotcha. We got like 6/7in here Haymarket VA
3m makes a adhesive remover wheel. Might makes these things easier.
i have an eraser wheel. didnt know if it was just for vinyl stickers, or also for the adhesive. seems like it would marr up the paint bad.
