I have a 3yr old Big Shot that i was using a fair amount today I couldnt cut a new intricate die no matter what. I have a foldaway for crops so, I used it I was blown away by how well it did.😊 😊
I just ordered the new Big Shot Switch which is remarkable. I would buy this for on the move as it is not only pleasing to the eye but it is so crazy functional. Thank you for sharing this with us. It is the first time I have seen this remarkable tutorial. Great job showcasing it.
@@wenzdayneher8842 HI, you would need the extended platform. Which they sell also. I have one, works perfectly fine. The opening is the same size as the big shot, and vagabond. It just folds up and and is easier to carry around .
I initially was wondering about the weird bumpy shape, but then... store your tools! Lock the sides in place! Ah HA! Form follows function. Absolutely cool that it’s designed for light tool storage in addition to portable die cutting. That added feature puts this new Big Shot ahead of the curve. Now if it’s lighter weight than the Spellbinders Platinum 6, and cuts intricate dies just as well, you guys have a game changer here, especially with Provocraft phasing out Cuttlebug and all Cuttlebug plates. There’s going to be a market opening for folks who loved the portability of that machine who can no longer access plates for less than the cost of a new machine (they’re already charging $40 for B plates on eBay) and want to graduate to something new. That’s exactly what happened to me. I got the Platinum 6 and love it; weight is an issue though, albeit minor.
I just received the black foldaway. I cannot emboss at all with this, I have followed instructions and tried using several different embossing folders, what is going on???
Wow.. it seems so practical. Perfect for space saving and on the go crafting. I’m just wondering if after using for a while, the pressure would be the same on the areas where there’s a tool space on the bottom.
Hi. Does the Spellbinders Glimmer System work in this machine. I know it works in the regular Big Shot but I would prefer to have this if possible. Thank you.
My cutting plates are curling and I have to replace them every month is there a way to prevent curling and the scratches is leaving the imprint on my paper TFS
Hi Sheila! There are a few tips and tricks to ensure your cutting pads last. The first suggestions is to continually flip your plates over and make sure you're not using the exact same cutting spot on the plate for each pass through your machine. Another good trick is to designate just one of your cutting pads as the one that gets cut into with your dies (using the other as the top plate only), which should cut down on the marks left on your project. Hope this helps!
Oh no! We have not heard of this happening but you can contact our Happiness Specialists who will gladly assist you! You can reach out to them via email at support@scrapbook.com!
Hi - I have just purchased this machine and was wondering if there is a magnetic platform for it - this is my first die cutting machine so all advice is happily accepted - thanks!
Hi there! The platforms and plates made for the regular Big Shot are interchangeable with the Foldaway. Find the magnetic platform right here: www.scrapbook.com/store/sz-656499.html Hope this helps and thanks so much for watching!
I love mime! I have the sidekick and the big shot foldaway. When I make the sandwiches like it says on the platform sometimes they are too thick to go thru...is anyone else having this issue?
The cutting and embossing opening is 6" like the regular Big Shot machine. For 8.5" paper, you'll want to check out the Big Shot Plus. www.scrapbook.com/store/sz-660340.html Hope this helps and thanks so much for watching!

I love mine, I had it when It first came out. Out of all my machines, the big shot, vagabond 2, side kick and silhouette, this is the one I use most.
Yvonne Morentin can you use the extra big dies like for journals on this? making it longer for those to be on ?

Wow, what a great size and portable too!
It's so handy! ❤
Had I seen this a few months back, I would have gotten it instead of the cuttlebug. Love the storage feature!
Wow first time i see this machine......wow this is amazing. Thanks for sharing . I love it

I LOVE my Big Shot Express but this lil machine would be great to travel with, I can't imagine how much it costs tho! LOL

Nice machine..i already have 2 but i would like to have that one just because i can keep it down on the table..
We defintely understand that! It's always nice to have some more compact products that fit in your space easier. 👍

How do people carry all those platforms and cutting mats around though?
What about a precision base plate? For intricate dies? Can I use it on this?
TFS. 😊
It would be nice to have also some kind of bag to protection of dust and transport hazards
My side is stuck :( does anyone know if I can get it unstuck?

Hello. Will this lovely machine use the old school Sizzix Sizzlits? Again, the older red tiny ones? Thank you ☺️
Hi Brandi! Yes, you can absolutely use the old Sizzlits in this machine and others like the Sidekick, Big Shot, and more!
Scrapbook.com Thanks so much!
Unable to fold it away. Both sides are stuck. Any suggestions?

Can you use your magnetic platform in place of the one the machine comes. With. I cannot live without my magnetic platform, 😊
Kathy McNally hello I want to know if I can use magnetic platform?.
Mara Jimenez I didn’t see anyone answer my question so I’m not sure
I wonder if you can cut a piece of fabric
Hi - I have just purchased this machine and was wondering if there is a magnetic platform for it - this is my first die cutting machine so all advice is happily accepted - thanks!
Yes there is.

Are the plates from the original bigshot useable with this machine?
Yes, the platforms and plates made for the regular Big Shot are interchangeable with the Foldaway.
Is this a 6” or 9” opening?
Hi Carolyn! It's a 6" opening. 😊
I love mime! I have the sidekick and the big shot foldaway. When I make the sandwiches like it says on the platform sometimes they are too thick to go thru...is anyone else having this issue?
We're glad to hear you love yours! Depending on the thickness of your dies or embossing folders, you may need to adjust the sandwiches as you see fit.
Now i need to Sell my original sizzix to get this one.
Is this being released again? I've seen people on UA-cam using this machine from a year ago, yet this says it's a new release?
Last year this machine was available in Europe and now we have it in the USA too! 🥰
@@scrapbook Oh I see, well that's awesome it looks like a neat tool
Can non-Sizzix dies be used with this?
Absolutely! As long as the dies you're looking to use are less than 6" in width to fit through the platform, they will work beautifully.
@@scrapbook GREAT! Thank you so much!
Is the platform magnetic?
no, it is standard platform. you can switch out the platforms with all the other sizzix ones. I do, works fine.
What a nice portable die cutting machine! What is width of the platform/opening, can 8.5 inch paper go thru?? TFS!! :)
The cutting and embossing opening is 6" like the regular Big Shot machine. For 8.5" paper, you'll want to check out the Big Shot Plus.

can it do fabric?
fabric that can fit the opening, and it is the die that determines whether you can cut fabric. It can use a bigz die, and that cuts fabric
I picked up a used cuttlebug with all the goodies. Like new. Not much difference I can see.
Oh cool but I have so many toys.
