Great video Lance! I'm intrigued by the larger wine glass, I will have to give that a try. My go to is definitely that smaller stemmed tulip you have there. I think that might be the one that was given out during last year's Rum Show? Hands down my favorite, just wish they were available here in the states. Also, I absolutely HATE the NEAT glasses. Seems like that's what they give out at the Rum Fests here in the states and you have to crank your head so far back to get that "half of ml" pour into your mouth.

    Thanks for the video.
If you are looking for an inexpensive replacement for those "glass hats" to put on tasting glasses try "watch glass cover lids for beakers and flasks" available on
the major on-line retailer whose name shall not be mentioned but begins with an "A". The come it sets of 12 and are available in different diameters. I find the 2" (5cm) diameter to be perfect for covering the mouth of Glencairn and similar sized small mouth cognac glasses.

Thank you for the video. I’ve been using glencairn glasses, and only recently started wondering if I should branch out a bit with different types of glassware. I’ve been eyeing balloon and eau de vie type glasses. The white wine option and usefulness of stemmed glasses were interesting to hear. I’d love to get a Lance version of the rum glassware test/comparison at some point. Thanks again!

"when some cheapo tells you you've got like half of ml to play with" lol love that.

That actually happened, Arminder; but I got a story even better than that. Some years ago I was at Lebensstern Rum Bar in Berlin, and a guy came over with a small sample bottle of the legendary J. Wray 17 YO. He said he couldn't spare a sample...but I could have a sniff (just one). Not sure I needed a glass for that one 😆

@@lancesurujbally2781 lol wow, what a tease! And just one sniff at that lol. What's the point of even bringing that around at that point... besides the flex, I guess. BTW... nice touch on the French New Wave stylings.

What do you think of the Glencairn Mixer? It's like a cross between a rocks glass and the original Glencairn: wider flat bottom with a tulip shape. Supposedly it was developed in consultation with the Canadian Whisky industry (whatever that means). It's slightly larger than the Glencairn, so if you have a big nose it would probably work well. But, other than that, from my experience, I think it's practically the same in terms of concentrating aromas. Idk. Best part about it might be that you can make a short G&T or Ti-Punch in it. Works really well as a Ti-Punch glass.

The description from the "GLASSIQUE CADEAU Store" reads "Cognac Brandy, Tequila and Dessert Wine Snifter Glasses | Set of 4 Small Tasting Tulip Copitas for Sipping Armagnac, Spirits, Madeira, After Dinner Drink | Mini Stemmed Nosing Sniffers for Liquor". Hope that helps.
