Sorry for the re-upload but the previous video was blocked for using a lighter. I got the same sound using a sweatshirt and so I replaced it :) I hope it doesn't get blocked again for biting into a vegetable haha. Let me know what sounds I should make in the next video 👇
@@mayanightstar a normal microphone works by turning vibrations intro an electrical signal. Usually there is a membrane that vibrates thanks to the sound waves. With a contact microphone, the membrane becomes anything you attach to it. Like a drumstick, finger, and more. So in this example the rice crispy is the vibrating part and the mic is turning the vibrations from the crispy into an electrical signal that can be recorded. Since there is no space between the 'membrane' and the object the hit sound is much harder (usually a metal mesh protects the membrane whilst letting sound waves go through).
Tap a stethoscope with the earpieces in and you'll get a personal demonstration of how loud and bassy seemingly quiet things can be with a sensitive instrument
@@angelo423 Do you think it isn't? They're not actually going out and smashing boulders just to record the sound, if that's what you were thinking. It may not be these exact materials, but this sort of technique is pretty common in professional work.
@@angelo423 hmm I actually work with sound designers. Unless it’s actual music, nearly everything is a “sound effect”. They have been doing stuff like this forever. It’s much more practical, controllable, and sounds better. You gotta exaggerate sounds to get good crisp stuff. Go watch a video silly. The one from A Quiet Place was very interesting.
Sound designers deserve way more attention than they're getting, this game's sound design is honestly one of my favorite things about it. From the sound of walking, to the sound of rain, to the sound of moving through the menu, to the sound of using a weapon, every single sound is done incredibly well, and it adds a ton to the experience
sound design is something often overlooked by gamers but man, what a satisfying video botw/totk sound design is amazing and your recreation is perfect, obssessed with the fire bow part, so well done
Awesome! Idea , Video and the sounds! Please more ! Can u try to do sounds maybe from super smash brothers, Star Trek/ Star Wars , Alien or in this area 😅 thanks ! Thumbs up!!!

Thank you for leaving a note. Great sound production/recreational production.
Touhou.
If you do Subnautica, I’ll hug a Leviathan.
can you make the minecraft warden sound please
@@oswaldoelmamarre1826 he already did on shorts video
The contact mic on the crushed rice cake was ingenious
I have no idea how doing that made that sound, that part of the video broke my brain

@@MattSumGuy my dad was a paramedic so we had those things all around the house as a kid and I did that shit all the time lmao 🤣
Sound FX designers really are so clever. Not sure what we’d do without them lol.
Foley artists to be specific! :)
you do know that this isn't how the actual creators of the game made those sounds right? it's kinda sad that someone sees this an equate it to that
@@angelo423 who claimed this youtuber was part of the original team? I don’t think @footballfan896 was implying that

Legit, foley is exactly this bonkers and brilliant. I love that someone makes tons of videos recreating it for giggles
Nowadays, they barely had to do any tricks like in the video as there whole sound libraries with thousands of noice snipped exist for decades.
Just throwing this out there, this is usually how sound designers do things. Probably 95% accurate to everything that actually happened.
so people just throw things out there that aren't true interesting

You think this guy used the exact same objects the Nintendo sound effects Foley artists used? 🙄
@@reev9759 that's not what he saying at all
@@pirategamer6630 95% accurate. That implies there's only one or two ways to make the sound effects we're hearing in Tears.
Gosh I love sound designers so much, you are a magician
The whole bow sequence at 0:22 was absolutely brilliant and made me instantly subscribe

Could you figure out the cooking sound? I was thinking maybe it’s a 2-4 wrenches (alloy metal) bouncing around plus the shaking of a wooden chime set.
Amazing!👍🏻
i really need to know how the korok sounds were made xD
I almost wish they did the foley for the sounds over again so they wouldn't sound exactly the same as botw
