Come with me as I take you along for a ride in my world! - Авто та транспорт
On a side note, it's interesting to me that some of these cars were made pre-soviet collapse and some were made post.
What has the sovjet (russia) to do with german cars silas, maybe you ment the fall down of the berlin wall in 89?
He was probably just thinking of the iron curtain. But I still think Mercedes was west Germany though.
Did not know that
You are having to much fun with the Mercedes
I enjoyed watching your channel. I understand why you can't keep everything. Some people don't understand business.
Silas your business model makes sense to me - the haters can open their own junk yards, but they never do cuz theyre too busy criticizing you!
Or maybe it's because we weren't born Into it with a dad that already had a wrecking yard But most times the people who are in charge are not smarter than the people who are pulling Parts. Most of the time they're stepping over a dollar to pick up a dime and that's what silas does
0:03 - All you needed was David Hasselhoff singing atop them and you'd have recreated the show, amigo
That's funny af 😅
Ya.....drunk and eating a cheeseburger...🍔
That's the way the Ol' Mercedes Bends
lol, believe it or not that is the first time I have heard that.
I'm very glad that you don't listen to those dummies who tell you how to run your business. "You gotta save that car or that truck", That's just BS.
You do what works best for you and screw the "Know-it-alls".
Right people say gotta save it but aren't willing to rescue it unless he gives it away
Boy that extra lift space really is a help squeezing cars into squeeze hopper.
When I use to crush cars we use to take the motor and trans out of them. Your not the only person that crushed nice old and new stuff. The scrapper life
"Guaranteed NOT running" 😆
They made double windows in the s-class to reduce noise. That is the reason behind the double windows. If you had one to break, at least you still had the other window.
Wonder how many get the Reagan Gorbachev reference 🤔
Holy crap. Lol I can just hear the crying. That was a nice load of scrap. Love watching you crush cars.
I bet the Mercedes guys were pissed that a filthy BMW was on top, as king of the scrap! Lol That was super cool that your dad brought some late model cars over, so you could spare some vintage iron! Well for now at least! Thank you for another great video Silas! I thought the wall set up was awesome!
It's a shame but you have to do what you have to do!! You crush better cars then i drive. Lol
The fastback 1980ish Oldsmobile Cutlass in the background is the car that got my attention. Simply because of its odd body style and that nobody hardly bought any of them when they were new. Then saw that mid 50’s Buick in the deep background. You’ve got a bunch of interesting cars there.
I love that style Olds as well. I'd LOVE to find a coupe with that rear end style.
Those old school color coded Mercedes Benz wheelcovers are probably worth saving, both for ebay parts or wall art ! ,they make great clocks too 🕓
You'd think some German Beer would come out squeezing those cars like that?
That's one heck of a loader you got. Picks up those vehicles really well.
Sialis, can you make a video of the shredder that eats all your crushed cars and parts? I sure as heck would tune in!!!
would be cool, but idk if he can have acess to them
They won’t let me film that
Gosh hardware has gotten SO expensive, I can't imagine there not being a market for those bolts. Broke my heart to see that Chevette crushed, need a car for my daughter. But transportation from Kansas? Geez, cost me $800 years ago! So I'm sure not practical today.
Mustang rearend usually 4:10 ratio with posi,-trac
The old MB with bent hood is called a "pontoon series" by the shape of fenders.
All those Mercedes don’t interest me a bit, except when you smashed the double pane windows in the side of it. First time I have seen that.
That was quite the shock to me
The new crusher really flattens them out nicely..
Good Evening There My Good Big Bro Silas Of Adventure Made From Scratch
Nice 62 Pontiac by the Mercedes area
When people say to save it, you should dedicate the crush to them!
Enjoy the show
Thanks for sharing
The rear end in that Mustang should be a 8.8 Posi. Good one!
Just remember, Silas, MANY people have become wealthy on crazy ideas. Another good video as usual.
Oh that was a good shot with that six banger in the crusher lol❤
Good to see you again buddy take care
I have to admit, when you got the chain out... I really liked where this was going.
ruined the pyramid with the bmw lol
The ol Bonneville with a 421 is worth $$$ in the Pontiac circles
Excellent silas cheers 🥂 😊
Mushrooms & junk yard cuisine lol 😂

👍🤠
@@JohnShinn1960 hey u
Awesome always cool stuff always thanks
Awesome video Silas
when I was 16, I worked part time at a yard in Fl, (its still open) and the rule was, after 6 months,, chrush it and move it out,, saw a lot of cool stuff get smashed, but then, it was just a old car.
You and your family make the World go Round!! Be Proud!!
great video
When my younger brother was in high school he had a beat up chevette. He took the housing with the pull rope from the top of a push mower and mounted it on his hood. He would have a friend get in the car. They had it all worked out that when my brother pulled on the rope his friend would start the car. He said they freaked a lot of people out and got lots of laughs. What fun!
Tiiiiiiimbeeeeer! Live this one.
It so amazing to see the things alot of car guys just go crazy for get smashed flat. We spend a fortune trying to keep them running we polish and shine them and in the end just a flat hunk of metal.
All roads lead to the junkyard
the youtube whiners remind me of the facebook market people... they want it for 75% off...and 95% of time never show even if you discount it to their asking points... Just do whats best for your business, and keep making cool videos. I like it!
Silas, great work.
Not every at bat is a home run, triple or double.
Crushing rarer cars just increases the value of the survivors....
Another great video Silas. Looks like good weather for you. Add 10 degrees and that's us.
Yes Sir!!!
Enjoyed the Stuttgart Smash ! 🤜💥🤪🏁👍 ..... or maybe it was a Benz Bash 🤔 - whatever, it was good viewing
Mr. Silas, tear down this wall... and he did. They are just taxi cabs in Germany. The Chevette was an added bonus. Well done indeed.
Lay them out, paint the roofs and have an automotive checkers game
"Ich bin ein Berliner"
"Tear down this wall"
Essentially the bookends of the Cold War
What's the story on that red Celica sitting next to the crusher?
Seems like the kind of car that would have got the squeeze a long time ago but just seems to always be hanging out in the background of your videos.
Maybe theres a story, or maybe its just luck lol
Another vehicle I'd like to know too is the newer Ford transit van I've seen in a few of his videos but he's never talked about either
Reagan = Tear down that Wall !!!! Great Crushing those Mercedes - what Fun ! A very Busy Day and very Exciting ! Well done Silas and many Cheers from Australia !!!!
Crush baby crush . Love the new crusher !
Loved the side camera angle in the crusher!
Loved it just like all your videos I try not to miss any
Thanks 👍
Love that title!!!
Your vids are so COOL You look like a person that takes life as it comes Thank you
Yes that was fun Peace out
Tear down that wall mr gorbachev
Enforce the border FJB
Ok…love the new crusher. It’s amazing how good you can get driving a machine almost every day. Like stuffing chain link fence into an open window!
I like the crusher in action crushing those old cars
I work for a junkyard in my 20tys, and we crushed 400 Impala, the rust bucket from the 70tys, we put water heaters in them, and there might have been aford wagons in the crush pile but all foreign cars was crusher bait .
For a German car guy like me it was fun to watch cause here the Mercedes owner clubs are making a lot of drama about those old rustbuckets.
Mr. Silas, tear down this wall.😊
You are quite the artist! I just really enjoy seeing you put the crush on the junkets. Peace
Good to see you were finally able to get rid of some of that industrial scrap. Did the dumpster end up being over weight?
It was right at the limit!
Good video Silas
F em! As a car guy, I dislike seeing cars crushed. I understand it's a business and how the world works. You give people more than enough chances to save or buy stuff. If I wasn't Soo many states away, I'd be giving you free labor for random bits out of the scrap pile.
I live in newengland , to costly to ship that chevette. Great gas mileage car
That's the way the old Mercedes bends!
2:09 si a Datsun the blue truck?
Please make one video showing the operation at your Dad's place that you referred to in this video
i would never be able to get it but its cool seeing a fiero, absolutely loved those little death traps when i was a kid
Everything is high dollars. Until they have to pay for them .
Hi there Mr Silas. I lived in Berlin for two years serving with the British Army.1PWO. That wall was very interesting looking from both sides. JR/UK.
It is my understanding that Mercedes quality started to tank in the late 1990s when they started farming out component manufacturing to sub contractors.
Sell the cylinders to Surplus Supply in Omaha
Some of those nose pieces will make a great barbecue grill !
i hope these are old videos because its weird to watch you in a hat and winter coat working so far down south when up here in northern ontario we're all in shorts and t shirts
Crushing 💪😎😁
You are amazing how you master the machinery 😮
Check out the show junkyard empire. They rip the wiring harness out with forks on a loader.
Those Mercedes crush very flat!
Silas I think you're doing a great job, keep up the good work enjoy your videos
wow
You forgot to write Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall
“TEAR DOWN THIS WALL (shark drawing)”
That chevette was actually a pretty nice car. I myself would have enjoyed that car. I like a number of the cheap economy cars like that one. I actually would have been tempted to buy that one if it was local to me, but no way am I going 2,000 miles to get one of those. I’m not that interested.
You are not missing anything. I used to drive one for years, it was pathetically under powered, weighed too much, heavy on fuel, poor handling & rusted fast. I think it even repelled the chix! 😄
Neighbor had one in 81 was a good car.
Crush a car on its side in new crusher
Silas you make a difficult job look easy. The male Karens no nothing about recycling. An excavator is on my wish list for digging ponds.❤😅😅😅.
The Mercedes seem to crush very well !
Nice video as always. You could have ripped the Mercedes grilles off, these are cool wall hangers by them self.
Those bits and pieces are sooo expensive...smash away 😂
They're expensive when you buy them, not when you're selling them! :)
Some people just have no idea how a business is run. If you can't make a profit, your no longer in business and someone else will crush them.
3:14 it's funny how that EPAL pallet ends up in America 🤔
Best part is u crushing what u know needs crush ed to pay the bills that comes first😅
Howdy Silas! Nice video again. I learned to drive a Mercedes 300 TD in the early 90s. A nice car then, but now I wouldn't want it. What car did you guys learn to drive in? And the negative comments... oh well, ignore it. People always have to have something to complain about it seems sometimes. Who knows, maybe the car that got crushed yesterday will be your new refrigerator in a few months. Metal is recycled after all. I wish you a great week, and look forward to your next video. 🚙👍
I wandered through a different auto crushing channel where he flattened a car on its side. It seemed to flatten out further by being crushed on its side rather than "right side up"
Perhaps an experiment with all those cars of the same type? Does a sideways car flatten further than an upright car?
Silas has done it before.
you crushed some nice ones today, that chevette I would love to have had for a driver
