My rescued and restored TKO 75 workhorse. Has NEVER let me down. Made in America back in the day. Good Value Quality gear made to last. I like the way Peavey sounds.
LOVE the tracks, man. Good stuff! Diggin your style. Sounds a little bit u2 Edge at times. Cheers from a Peavey TKO 75 player. Rescued from the rain - and a landfill fate. Tossed by a neighbor - then rescued by me. Behold! Restored to near new. Aaaaaaah.
@@Alloykenneth actually the reason why I wanted it was not to play a public gig but to play for myself so that's why I chose it I've always heard good things about them and for the price I really couldn't pass it up I have to admit to one heavy son of a gun too
@@Alloykenneth I also own a miniature Fender amp and a few other portable amps and the weird one that I recently picked up was a behminger tube Amp for 50.00 it needs a new tube but they're not expensive they're only $70 so I now have two very nice amps that I can use to play when I want to
Sounds great man, thanks a lot. I'm considering buying one since these are pretty cheap and I'm even curious to try it with a guitar... I bet it would sound huge !
@@xaviermarini7602 peavey made crazy durable amps and the clean tones are amazing. Outside of Type O Negative I’ve never heard anybody else use the type of effects that are on that amp. You can definitely get great deals on them though.
@@Alloykenneth yeah chorus sound happens not going to argue there are a few amps out there that have weird chorus effect I ran into a Chinese one that just brought cheap junk to a new meaning the chorus effect on it was so bad it literally sounded like it belonged in an anime
How do you get the preamp out? Ive got one that buzzes like its full of bees eventhough i have it plugged into a furman. Trying to diagnose the problem but cant get the damn preamp out
And I do Agree that they are easy to repair after someone has almost electricuted you with one The one I got i had to repair because some jerk wad ran the ground back to the power supply creating a very dangerous situation
I acquired a peavey TNT bw, black widow speaker, from the late 90’s., about 20 years ago, super clean, as it does not have the amp head in it., also no top handle, and the 4 ohm black widow speaker is out of the cab with no screws. I just pulled it out of the box, and gave it a look over, it looks almost new, I’m just not sure how I want to go about using it.. full restoration?, use it as a cabinet only? I reallly don’t know where to start or get parts and hardware., if anyone can recommend sources, I’d really appreciate it.
I would probably just use it as a bass cabinet with the black widow speaker. These amps are so cheap on the used market that it’s not really worth paying for just the amp unless you find one with no speaker that someone is selling dirt cheap.
I would try the low output crossover into an interface but its not going to mute unless you unplug the speaker. The other option would be to have a tech add one but a small practice amp may be a more practical option.
I bought mine in 1998 and still use it to this day. All stock and still goes like brand new beast... It looks ugly, 90's and fat and certainly, it'll survive all of us.

My first peavey
For 160 bucks it's a great practice amp. Not sure if I would gig with one but its loud enough for gigging.

It is definitely a loud amp and built to last forever. I just couldn’t get past that crazy chorus sound. 👍🏼

And a large technical note if you have a lot of feedback coming out of this amplifier re solder the pots it makes the Amp squeaky clean no hum

This is the amp that inspired Pete Steeles spacey tone with Type O Negative.
Holy cow now that you mention it I can hear it in my head “too late for apologies no!” That bass line has it prominently. Thanks for that info. ✌🏼

Kinda looks like a JBL
