Hey there! I’m a controller player, too! I wanted to ask for some tips for training my thumbs. My thumbs tend to “lock up” a lot when it comes to some patterns or streams/spams. I'm not sure if it’s an instinct-reaction thing or not. But I've dealt with it for at least a few years of playing oni diffs with a controller. I use a DS4 controller usually, but I also play the game on my 3DS. Sorry to ask, but your plays are amazing!!!
hi brother I don't know about lock-ups, but I've never thought to train my thumbs. However, after I became conscious of pressing the button without using much muscle, I no longer wasted energy. My recommendation is to speed up Notes or use the random option to make your fingers move reflexively so you can get a feel for it and be able to handle faster Notes. thank you Watching!!
I might've said my word wrong, Pardon me. Not good at explaining things. What I mean by lockups is that my thumbs “pause” when doing fast notes despite not even being tired. Would you recommend the same thing with that?
@@D_ain Thank you very much. Hmm, I can't tell you how to solve the problem because I don't know the specific pattern, but I think it will get better if you break up the problem pattern more finely.
@@bombjj Oh! That's no problem. I would say patterns like 🔴🔴🔵🔴🔴🔵🔴🔴🔵 or just streams in general. I've always had trouble with patterns that involved quick switching. I've also developed a habit where I start with my left thumb, even though I'm right-handed. Starting the first note of patterns with my dominant hand just feels so odd to me for some reason.
@@D_ain I see, thank you very much. The ddkddkddk pattern definitely annoys a lot of people. The general solution is to consciously type it into three patterns: ddk, ddk, ddk. Some people play with a different hand than their dominant hand. Don't worry, you don't have to fix it.
