    So very, VERY sad. I love these tales that have people who are a different breed entirely but are just STILL PEOPLE. Wonderfully written and narrated. You know how many years some of us have been supporting. You're still truly one of the best channels out there. Emotive, sincere and deep. This made me truly sad. Great work 🧡

    Highest compliments here: I listen to scary stories daily. I haven’t been scared by a story in over a year. This one got me. Upside down head? I shrank into the couch cushions trying to get away and didn’t even notice it 😂
    INCREDIBLY immersive storytelling here. Wonderful writing, PHENOMENAL voice acting. I swear the voice acting was the key to the immersion here. I could feel the fear the main character felt. The personality changes between characters, too? Incredible.
    Seriously. Keep it up. Amazing amazing stuff ❤️

      That said, the singular "they" pronoun predates "she & "he". It has centuries of historical and linguistic evidence behind it. Also, there's nothing wrong with trans people or people using "they/them" pronouns. They've been around for as long as there have been people, and we have historical evidence of what we would know as trans people going back a couple thousand years. They're a normal part of humanity entirely independent of this story.

      While I support the LGBTQ and realize the use of they/them is technically grammar correct, people in the US don’t really talk like this unless the person directly prefers to be referenced as “they/them.”
      Without that context, it’s a bit odd to hear one person being referred to as that. I figured them/them in this sense was supernatural foreshadowing for more than one being existing in a body.

    Oh yes is the first one, A trixter being pull back. Their unguish is apparently not their first time. It reminds me of the Owl creature from "An Abhorrent Vacuum" albeit with less control of the circumstances.

Edit: for those bothered, please understand that Alex is a unisex name and the author probably left it ambiguous for us to imagine ourselves (he/she/they/etc). This is something that's existed way before this cultural pronouns phenomena. Rather than taking this as some political agenda, you could take this as a learning experience my fellow human beans :). As if it makes the story any different. That you’re making it weird. But what’s weird is that you have a fit being thrown in the comments because you didn’t use he/she. When those words. Wouldn’t change the story at all. I weirdly prefer the they them for this story. Because imagine if it was he or she. And you heard it used over and over and over and over and over. For comprehension I prefer the they/them. You’re dealing with people that peaked in highschool and that’s why they are all struggling to deal with this. • @ghostcipher
      @ghostcipher 2 місяці тому +2

      "They" has been a singular for centuries and you use it as such all the time without thinking about it.
      "Some person from the observatory left their telescope out so we could all look at the meteor. That was really nice of them."
      "Hey, we're missing someone in this meeting. Anyone know who it is or where they are?"
      It could also be used in relation to Alex being something OTHER. The main character obviously has enough respect for Alex not to call them 'it' but what do you call something that isn't human and could very well not have gender? 'it' is dehumanizing, so instead of saying, "it was my friend" you might choose, "they were my friend".
      Or, maybe Alex chooses to be non-binary.

      Because grammar is not Woke Stuff. 'They' has been singular for centuries and you use 'they' singularly all the time without realizing it.
      "Did someone leave their tools here? Are they coming back for them?"
      Alternately, I took it as a more humanizing variation of 'it' to refer to something/someone that isn't normal or is something OTHER. Where you would say, "look at that dog, I wonder what breed IT is", using "it" for a human is dehumanizing. "Alex is my friend. I wonder what type of monster it is," sounds very rude for someone you'd call a friend, ergo, "I wonder what type of monster they are."
