I cried so hard watching this. I teared up when they admitted their love for one another, but when I saw Lucifer's wings, I just bawled. Because you realize that the wings returning symbolized how much he's changed. He's no longer selfish and immature. The last thing Lucifer wants to do is go back but he knows he has to, not to protect just Chloe, but also Linda, Dan, Ella, Trixie and Charlie. His whole journey of change and redemption really hits you in the feels during this scene/
At first, Lucifer is trying to convince Chloe (and himself) that this is the only way to keep the demons contained. And then Chloe finally tells him she loves him and in that instant, decision is made. Without hesitation, he flies back to the place he despises to protect Chloe. ❤️❤️ I need 27 more seasons of this show. #luciferseason5
This broke my heart. She finally tell him she excepts him for who he is, then tells him I love you and he has to leave. Tom and Lauren played this to perfection. #DeckerStarInLove
The prophecy is correct; “Evil will be released.” Lucifer’s sacrificed his happiness and his love for Chloe and humans and showed God he had truly changed. God will release him of the burden of being viewed as evil.
Don’t get me wrong, his acting is epic in this scene, but her acting in this scene is legendary!!! I can’t begin to explain all the emotions that are oozing out of her soul. Worry, love, heartbreak, desire, hopelessness, etc. My God she nailed it.
Season 4 was so epic, I binge watch the first 3 seasons all over again and the fourth too. Can't stop watching this last scene between Chloe and Lucifer. My heart broke into a million pieces.
This is absolutely incredible. Chloe has always been the most eminently practical person in the whole series. Under normal circumstances, she’d be the first to see why Lucifer has to go back to Hell. None of that matters here. It can’t matter.

This literally broke my heart into pieces, this brought out way more emotion then the three season Lucifer had w/ Fox. Netflix really as hell, raise the devil himself. The character development was truest extraordinary and best development yet threw out this show. I can’t wait for next season to see how it will continue, lol imagine if they decided to cancel the show for no reason with a cliffhanger? Lol that’s funny...cuz u know that...would be a. Jack. Ass. I just loved how this episode started with "Lucifer the Musical", (which was so much fun), right up to making some of us cry with this beautifully crafted ending scene.
So sad for Chloe to have *THIS* happen! She screwed up so badly in the first couple of episodes of Season 4. In episodes 3 through 10, she really redeemed herself back into Lucifer's life and heart, only to have *THIS* happen! 😭

This scene takes my mental stability, throws it on the ground, sets it on fire, then takes the ashes and puts them in a blender, makes a juice out of them and throws that juice into a volcano.
The look on Lucifer's face when Chloe told him that she loved him made this scene all the more hard to watch. He looked so happy because those are words that he's wanted to hear for so long. But, they came at the worst time for the both of them.
S5 SPOILERS In S5 Ella and Chloe were talking about how Lucifer had never said he loved Chloe, but the words, "My first love was never Eve. It was you, Chloe. It always has been." seem to be declaration enough to count.
Ofcourse it counts ... But remember.. Michael's speciality is to create doubts and questions into people's minds reaping to their fears...so Chloe was afraid and was being played by Michael...

So far, it’s the best pay off in Lucifer. The entire show centers around Chloe and Lucifer’s relationship, and this is the most genuine it gets. Lucifer makes the ultimate sacrifice for Chloe by going back to hell, and Chloe completely drops her guard in desperation. Throw in a confession of love and a heap of acceptance, this scene could easily be the best the series has to offer.
