lol sorry everyone for not double checking my video before posting and having a crazy ending hopefully you still enjoyed tho! Won’t let that happen again
Noob here. Got a card rated PSA 8 on eBay bc I thought it looked more like a 9. Should I crack slab and resubmit, or submit for a regrade in the slab (if that’s even possible)?
@@grokker99 ah I see. I guess it all just depends on the card and if you really think it could bump up. A few things to consider: You could submit to PSA as is in a 8 slab without cracking and protest it should be reevaluated and set a minimum grade as 9. If they up it then they will crack it for you and reslab. Or they will send back in the 8. They charge you either way. Pro is you don’t have to crack it yourself, con is them seeing it in the 8 slab may taint their view of it. You could crack and resubmit as well. Pro is new grader will have unbiased view of it. Con is cracking is a bit risky. I’ve damaged a few cards cracking. 90% of the time it’s been fine but definitely messed up on a few. Third option, most complicated but had success with this on one attempt. Crack, send to SGC, get the new slab hopefully an 8.5 or something then sub that to PSA in the SGC slab. Most expensive option though.

@@grokker99 it depends. What is the card, and how much do you have invested into it?
@@DanielsonSportsCards its a high-end card and I bought for 8K. An upgrade to 9 would double the value, but concerned of the risk of a lower grade.
