Im an atheist and i totally respect your views on god. I think i speak for most atheists when i say that our problem is with organized religion (in its current form in most of the world) and not spirituality.
Also the fact that people are inforcing their beliefs on other people through legislation.
Carlin speaking facts, the idea of a god in the age of reason is antiquated.
There is 0 evidence a god exist and therefore there is 0 reason to believe one does.
I don’t care if someone believes in a god or in leprechauns or whatever, I just have a problem when they try to turn their views into my laws.
I don’t think religion or anyone’s faith should be used to determine our laws. It’s ridiculous that we are seeing this happening and it’s a crazy slippery slope. We have seen what religious laws governing a country can cause.
I'm an atheist... I agree that religion is harmfulband antiquated. I'd just like to say that tou girls are quite cool. I'm glad that not everyone who believes in god is a bigot of any stripe and thinks our laws should be secular.
Please keep your mind open to the possibility that there is no god. I enjoyed this reaction.
Not sure if you two already did George Carlin's "The Ten Commandments", but regarding faith I concur with his "Thou shalt keep thy religion to thyself". Okay if you want to live by your religion, but don't tell/preach to me how I should live my life.
Unfortunately it also makes people vote a certain way, which does affect everyone. e.g. the overturning of Roe v Wade.
This man WAS a GOD among men, when it comes to his Art.

I agree with you and I'm going to preface this comment by saying, I have no issue with religion or people of faith whatever that faith may be; christian, catholic, jewish, hindu, islam, etc. But I do have an issue with organized religion, specifically because from my experience organized religion uses religious texts to serve and give only one interpretation of the text and dismisses any other variations and interpretations another person might have and I think that is a gross misuse of those texts. Religous texts are supposed to be meant for the reader, for the reader to find their own interpretation and meaning behind the passages and through that the individual becomes closer to god.
I'm what they call an " apathetic agnostic ", I don't know and I really don't care. My wife goes to one of those 4 hour long church services almost every Sunday. Took her 15 years to stop asking me to go, haha. She walks in the house grinning saying, "we prayed for you today " and I tell her ," I know ! I've had heartburn all afternoon !" It's ok, we love each other. My favorite part of this video was noticing Kari just dancing away while Yabba was talking around 15:11 . Have a great weekend !!

I think the bible is like the game telephone. Everybody put their own spin on it. And they choose which sins are worse than others. But in the Bible all sins are equal. It also says only God can judge. Yet people judge each other.

@@KariandYabba I've read through The Bible 3 times. I like how God, responsible for the murder of millions (dwindlinginunbelief.blogspot.com/2010/04/drunk-with-blood-gods-killings-in-bible.html), doesn't need to follow his own Ten Commandments but expects us to.
Sorry, I've grown really sour to religion. Ex-Christian and now Agnostic Atheist.

I love all of your reactions but this was kind of funny that you spent more time telling us about how you don’t care about religion and how people think of you, than the length of the entire George Carlin bit.

Well our laws shouldn’t be based on religion. So it should not have nothing to do with u. Extremist exist in every group. It’s our job to vote them out before they do that. Having our laws based around religion helps no one not even the religious people only extremists wanting control.

I wont try to convince you but i don't accept the idea that it has nothing to do with me , if you put out that idea I will repply and then it's up to you to ignore me or block or reply.
@@albinopolarbear8229 I was speaking in a ideal society when I stated that not the one we are in now. As of right now it includes everyone. I meant u should not have to worry about that but sadly we are. I don’t want my beliefs to be forced unto anyone.
@@KariandYabba I believe you when you say that and we have nothing to argue about. Its just that many people say they dont want to force their opinion on others but then when it comes to something they care more about they change their tunes.For example there are folk that say they dont want to force their religion on others but when they argue on abortion they start quoting their Holy Book.
From the way you replied to my comments I feel like you are not one of those people, I just wanted to explain on why atheists will still debate the idea of god even with moderate theists like you who say their religion is personal.

Man he teaches sense it takes a great spiritual person to realise real spiritualism.
Atheist or religious your Karma decides your fate God is not so insensitive that he would want to pray to him in a certain way.
His creation Atheist or not if u respect the nature the people and live with kindness it's more than enough.
In Yogic culture we say there are various paths with the same destiny hence in Hinduism we believe in all paths that teach non violence and kindness and Karma is the main thing..
Religious people have done more damage than non religious people on the plannet.
In hindusism we all so have a path of spirituality which is Charvaka (Atheist) as we have acceptance to all ways of it doesn't involve killing others and harming the nature.
When I met people from india who were hindu, they had a caste system and treated women like slaves. Defiantly not kind in anyway, literally a form of modern slavery.
Yeah, Judaism, Christianity and Islam (that makes up, what, 70-80% of religious membership on the planet?) are the complete opposite: only our God exists, and the rest of you are dirty heathens. Sadly your Yogic culture and Hinduism is incompatible to the Abrahamic religions, and their Sacred Texts (The Bible) demonize you until you convert to one of their religions. Hell, you can worship their god, but not in the way they want you to, and still want you dead.
