Navia at least does geo stuff. Citlali is a vaporize support. And honestly, not worth pulling for most players over the far more general use case Zhongli. She's looking to be another Shenhe.
They NEED to add Cryo to Citlali's Res Shred bc there's no reason for her to buff hydro over cryo like they don't have to make it all 3 types, but like it seems crazy that Cryo isn't included. Bc then Citlali works for reverse melt and not just forward melt.
Disappointed with the revmelt, somehow we are stuck with xiangling and mavuika was supposed to help however due to her poor pyro application we couldnt get A good decent one for a while sure mavuika has no issues with the ER but the issue is that you cant consistently apply pyro fully.

It is weird that you didn't mention Ayaka's freeze team. With Shenhe, Furina, and Xilonen, her burst is now almost 100K per tick*16 times. For mobs that can be frozen, just opt for Mona and Kazuha. It is more than enough to walk sideways in the Abyss if you don't encounter Cryo resistance enemies. It is a high investment and expensive teams and can't contend with more flexible and cheaper melt teams but it is so satisfying to play. Now, I wait for Shenhe rerun to C6 her. I predict that Tsaritsa can provide ease of use and Cryo versatile buffs but not powercreep damage output over these teams.
I think you're right they're probably waiting to release great Cryo units. I love Cryo. I swear Kai and Xingiu carried me through the majority of the game. lol.
I think I heard somewhere that when she triggers melt she will shred 20% pyro res and with freeze she will shred 20% hydro res. This might not be true though, and I can’t remember where I heard it…
She's definitely a cryo that supports hydro/pyro more in vape-melt and burn-melt. If you trust current "hints," she can help cryo more when she has vertical investment.

I would very much love to get a Wrio. Sucks that they might wait to rerun him till Snezhnaya. Even a Ganyu or a Ayaka would be fine. Considering I don’t have a cryo dps. I do have a Shenhe for the day I do eventually get one.
0:18 well I have news for you. Citlali will improve melt, but do not much for cryo characters unless c6. Now I could be pedant and say give citlali her signature and scroll 4pc and that’s a 68% dmg bonus. But to be honest, cryo already has shenhe. Physical is pretty much razor, Eula and freminet now. Keqing and fischl are both electro play style characters. Physical has Rosaria, raiden, and mika. Which leaves forward melt. Do I see this as a win? Yes I do. You could actually run citlali in a reverse melt team if you had Kazuha or Xilonen for cryo resistance shred but Kazuha provides a dmg bonus and if given Petra/scroll so does Xilonen. So citlali doesn’t do much unique for cryo characters. The closest we have to forward melt is Rosaria who can also be a pretty good sub dps if used with Xiangling for her own damage. Qiqi has ridiculous energy requirements and a long skill cd that it’s a struggle without c1 and r5 sac sword. The thing I wish citlali would do is shake up freeze for wrio/ganyu/ayaka teams. Reducing hydro resistance and not cryo is brutal. Good day for neuvillette and ayato though
Contradict to expectation, the new reaction buff is NOT helping old cryo unit AT ALL. Because they're not designed for that, their whole kit revolve around crit base, not reaction base, so even if you try, it's not gonna have much effect, but do you know who is gonna get the benefit ? the new ones. They do the reaction buff just solely to buff the new cryo unit sell, and that's it. This is such a dick move, you think you got help, but no
The reaction does nothing anyway cause cyro have no reaction outside of Melt. Cyro needs reactions with Dendro and Electro (shove Electro's Phys Shred into Hydro instead) instead of just stuck with Melt/Freeze forever
i died at "shennehe great desapearence" remember wgen geo was called a bad "element" or worse of the bunch at least... now we got the jail full of cryos personaly i am not hyped for her nither mavuika that much, i may pick the arcon because op and (other options then a certain cheef with a tendency to slap every pyro thats OK in the face as a reminder that she is there) but i want them to get cryos out shennehe and eula and also ayka, im realizing i may have a bios towards geo and cryo shame i cant play them because they havent rerun in god knows how much time its like wanting to buy a house and having the money but guess what we got no espace for it here, (still waiting tho).
Imo, geo is still a bad element. Just because the new geo characters released are good, the element is still not. Even xilonen who is GEO and one of the best support now, gives buff to PECH element. Navia, also GEO is the only character that utilise crystallise in her kit
this might be the first time i actually had to choose between favourite or meta. All my favourites before are also quite a formidable meta, although not the best of the best
It is pretty certain that Citlali gives an EM buff like Nahida. So she can replace Nahida in a Ganyu team. The question is if Mavuikas Pyro application will be good enough to be a solo pyro in this team.
If you work with Freeze sadly your probably not becoming meta anymore unless you can buff the reaction. Glad Citlali is made for melt since I hate freeze and I love pyro so being someone I love Citlali will come home no matter what also some more Wriothesley love.
Y’all seem to forget how long we waited for a cryo catalyst for them to give us two at the same time 😂… I still use my c2 f2p ayaka on blizzard..she’s super well invested I just couldn’t get any 5star sword other than Aquila r3! …. I have coco goat c0 r2amos bow but she’s still lv80/8/8/8 … ayaka was just my favourite character…then my man wrio was introduced and I pulled for c1 straight up ! It was the best choice ever and I really don’t regret it ! Just like cyno r1 c1 ! I do have c0r1 Neuvillet, but the fun ain’t there for me , wrio cyno the best right now ! Ayaka and hutao are special ( dang Eula to I’ll never forget those years of farming for a pale flame perfect set , true nightmare )
My cracked Artifact Set idea would be one that has the following features: 2 piece: increases Crit Rate by 5% per 1,000 HP, increase is reduced to 2.5% per 1,000 HP for values over 45,000 HP. A Maximum of 300% Crit Rate can be obtained this way. 4 piece: Increases Crit Damage by 3.25% for every 1% over 100% Crit Rate, only 1.25% Crit Damage is given for every 1% Crit Rate over 200% Crit Rate. A Maximum of 450% Crit Damage can be obtained this way.
From citlalis leaked kit, it looks like you wanna play a team like arlecchino/kaz/citlali/bennett She has a shield that damages enemies around the active character and the scaling is like alhaithams where its half EM and half something else. She is a utility/sub dps, not buffing anyone but does good personal dmg while protecting the team…. Usually gonna be played with pyro units tho
She applies pyro each 2s which is the same as rosaria which also means it isn't enough cryo for arlecchino to melt from only her application, she does buff in the way of her passive that rescues pyro and hydro resistances for 20% when melt or freeze occurs and she can also use the scroll artifact set
And also, her personal damage through her skill is very bad, her only damage contribution that's relevant it's her burst that has insane em and atk scalings for a support and can easily do like 200k damage on a melt
They’re definitely holding the Cryo buffs until Sneyhnaya because of the true Cryo queen The Tsaritsa which would most likely have Bronya similarity. Furthermore Hoyo loves Bronya, so if the Cryo archon does have similarity then Cryo will get good buffs
Thats definitely a dog shit decision i would say. Why the need to hold onto certain units for more than a year just because the nation of the related element is releasing next year? Why cant they rerun them now instead of when players already tired of waiting their fav char?
@ well they did that to Dendro lol 😂 so it’s nothing surprising or new. Back then Baizhu was already revealed to be a Dendro character but was only playable years later after Sumeru came out. So following the pattern of Hoyo’s thought process and marketing strategies, buffing Cryo during Snezhnaya is smarter. As making Cryo less powerful now means less players will have Cryo characters after it becomes meta, meaning more people will spend trying to get more Cryo characters after spending their previous savings on other meta elements.
The only way cryo can be saved is if we have a character that is able to apply a lot of pyro and buffs melt reactions. Cryo is in the gutter right now since because there are not enough off field pyro supports that would enable them… mavuika could have been that but nope. Off to the DPS roster you go!
@@Moontonboss Well, technically speaking, Xilonen didn’t really saved Geo. I mean, Xilonen prefers to only have one or less Geo teammates or else she’d lose her healing.
@@Moontonboss It’s true that Xilonen and Zhongli are great characters, but I think when people say that geo is dead that they mean the element overall instead of just it’s characters. So even though geo has some great units, the majority of them are pretty subpar compared to other units in the game.
We haven't had a character added to the Standard Banner since Tighnari. Given the proximity of Citali's release to the pyro archon I wonder if she'll wind up there. I heard a rumor negating that possibility, but I also heard that we are supposed to get a new Standard Banner 5-star sometime during Natlan. Just speculating.

I had this idea of a cryo support where the character enables unfreezable enemies to be freezable if their chosen stat reaches a certain number (for example, if this character reaches 40,000 hp, enemies affected by freeze will be frozen no matter what) and removes enemy resistance based on the same stat.
I feel like if cryo becomes good again charlotte will be an insane budget cryo unit, being a good battery and healer for Furina, and she has pretty good cryo application incase it ends up being useful
I think i'll get Citlali for Chasca team over Mavuika. Archon will come sooner or later, cryo granny- i'm not sure :D 5.4 is going to be a hard time for wallets tho..
When's the last time fall damage mattered in Genshin either. Everything weighs like a brick. When Klee could knock mobs with her charge attacks being her gimmick as a main dps. Venti and veridescent hunt actually sucked in creatures. Back in the day I thought they would of added a form of damage reflection to make healers more valued. But no they crank up the damage which in turn they have to crank up other creatures because people kill them so fast they don't even experience the opponents combat. Everyone can burst and have their skills back off cooldown. But the idea of growing shouldn't be to ignore a bosses combat.
I'm so disappointed by her kit. She was a character I was looking forward to pulling, not in the least because she isn't from the 1980s. But alas, they gave her a weak shield and made her a vaporize support. Like, what? I considered pulling her for my Yoimiya, but then the obvious thought occurred, that I still wouldn't use Yoimiya, so now she joins the easy skip list.
I think when the Tsaritsa finally drops, she will be the true savior of Cryo. Like freezing actual time, which will allow all the hits to accumulate and stack up while time stops, and then causing massive damage upon the time thaws.
I have an idea for her passive: When she'll crit 10 times from an elemental skill/burst before elemental skill/burst will end in 3 seconds, cryo reactions will be buffed by 45% for 15 seconds
I am sad to bring bad news but Citlali seems to be a fantastic teammate for pyro and hydro main dps and them only (as if they needed more buffs ),(this is according to rumors and is subject to change)
Citlali could've saved Cryo if she increased Melt DMG, whether that's ReverseMelt and ForwardMelt by a percentage of her own Elemental Mastery, which could help Cryo units alot, even if it made them only good in Melt comps, AND help Pyro units have a good Cryo applicator BUT NooOooooOOoOOooOo, they just HAD to leave Cryo in the snow and have her instead DECREASE the RES of PYRO *AND* HYDRO, instead of making her a dedicated support for MELT.
why the hell would you tailor a CRYO element support to reverse melt when the cryo resonance literally cant work with reverse melt. we need a pyro element support with decent off field app to buff reverse melt. or they need to completely revamp the cryo resonance like they did the hydro resonance years ago. as it is now cryo resonance basically only helps pyro characters and ayaka.
Honestly, I love your videos and your breakdowns, but my God.... We need to start a drinking game. Down a bottle of bourbon for every video in which you mention Lyney. At this point, I'm starting to root for hoyo to swap him out with Shenhe down in the dungeons. As for Citlali, thankfully we have 42 days to see how she plays and pull for her so we'll at least have time.

For Wrio melt I actually prefer Wrio Xilonen, Xiangling Bennett. The Furina one has too many things going on and not enough personal damage from Wrio. Granted I have a C2R1 so he does good damage anyway

though popped in to my head while watching this i know that you love cryo just as mutch as i do. but when you mentioned that its borderline impossible to put shenhe in current melt teams for wrio and ganyu it struck me shenhe may just be for ayaka eula to buff just raw cryo and physical dmg (she has a aa buff and phys shread so) so meaby citlali will be the shenhe for melt and make melts super super big and bring melt up to vape. and then actully currently i do feel ayaka is pretty strong only diffirence i can see to ayaka best team is if a buffer thats even better than kazuha and shenhe combined to just have ayakas pure raw dmg rivals nevuis and eula oh boy poor girl still i will final out with hopeium that citlali will help cryo like navia did for geo and that capitano will be equal to arlachino
it could be a case where citlali is for melt, shenhe for freeze true, however there are some melt ganyu teams which include shenhe for instance ganyu bennett kazuha shenhe i would wonder if citlali would replace shenhe there? since kazu has to stay for pyro swirl for better aoe pyro app as long as cryo teams are somehow getting buffed i’m satisfied, but i really don’t want to see my shenhe made redundant before she ever truly had a chance to shine

I know it's been a while, but Cryo was obnoxiously prevalent during the first two years of abyss so people have forgotten how cracked it can be. The current enemies are purposely made to be difficult for cryo because freeze is great with multiple enemies. Hyperbloom, and the Natlan DPS are all best with single target bosses. It's the exact opposite of what cryo excels in. I can't really comment on melt because I refuse to play it w/o new pyro supports. I agree that it's fine, I just wish the characters would appear.
yes but you & me have probably invested an insane amount into cryo, the average person has not, that amount of investment foes far further for any other modern unit’s team MC needs a lot to work well

It is pretty certain that Citlali gives an EM buff like Nahida. So she can replace Nahida in a Ganyu team. The question is if Mavuikas Pyro application will be good enough to be a solo pyro in this team.
I'm genuinely starting to think that citlali will be thrown into the basement after her first banner too so am not skipping her 😭
If you work with Freeze sadly your probably not becoming meta anymore unless you can buff the reaction.
Glad Citlali is made for melt since I hate freeze and I love pyro so being someone I love Citlali will come home no matter what also some more Wriothesley love.
I’m pretty sure Citlali works on both Melt and Freeze team, so you could actually use her on either.

I have coco goat c0 r2amos bow but she’s still lv80/8/8/8 … ayaka was just my favourite character…then my man wrio was introduced and I pulled for c1 straight up ! It was the best choice ever and I really don’t regret it ! Just like cyno r1 c1 ! I do have c0r1 Neuvillet, but the fun ain’t there for me , wrio cyno the best right now ! Ayaka and hutao are special ( dang Eula to I’ll never forget those years of farming for a pale flame perfect set , true nightmare )

My cracked Artifact Set idea would be one that has the following features:
2 piece: increases Crit Rate by 5% per 1,000 HP, increase is reduced to 2.5% per 1,000 HP for values over 45,000 HP. A Maximum of 300% Crit Rate can be obtained this way.
4 piece: Increases Crit Damage by 3.25% for every 1% over 100% Crit Rate, only 1.25% Crit Damage is given for every 1% Crit Rate over 200% Crit Rate. A Maximum of 450% Crit Damage can be obtained this way.
This set is only coming out when the abyss releases.
Citlali is the Navia of cryo tho. If you can't save them, might as well avoid them LOL

From citlalis leaked kit, it looks like you wanna play a team like arlecchino/kaz/citlali/bennett
She has a shield that damages enemies around the active character and the scaling is like alhaithams where its half EM and half something else. She is a utility/sub dps, not buffing anyone but does good personal dmg while protecting the team…. Usually gonna be played with pyro units tho
She applies pyro each 2s which is the same as rosaria which also means it isn't enough cryo for arlecchino to melt from only her application, she does buff in the way of her passive that rescues pyro and hydro resistances for 20% when melt or freeze occurs and she can also use the scroll artifact set
And also, her personal damage through her skill is very bad, her only damage contribution that's relevant it's her burst that has insane em and atk scalings for a support and can easily do like 200k damage on a melt
My copiunm is that she synergizes with the pyro MC. The upcoming event weapon is a sword catered toward working on a team with her.
cryo doesn't need saving.. mihoyo just wants to rest the element until snezhnaya - the cryo nation!
They’re definitely holding the Cryo buffs until Sneyhnaya because of the true Cryo queen The Tsaritsa which would most likely have Bronya similarity. Furthermore Hoyo loves Bronya, so if the Cryo archon does have similarity then Cryo will get good buffs
Thats definitely a dog shit decision i would say. Why the need to hold onto certain units for more than a year just because the nation of the related element is releasing next year? Why cant they rerun them now instead of when players already tired of waiting their fav char?
@ well they did that to Dendro lol 😂 so it’s nothing surprising or new.
Back then Baizhu was already revealed to be a Dendro character but was only playable years later after Sumeru came out.
So following the pattern of Hoyo’s thought process and marketing strategies, buffing Cryo during Snezhnaya is smarter.
As making Cryo less powerful now means less players will have Cryo characters after it becomes meta, meaning more people will spend trying to get more Cryo characters after spending their previous savings on other meta elements.
The only way cryo can be saved is if we have a character that is able to apply a lot of pyro and buffs melt reactions.
Cryo is in the gutter right now since because there are not enough off field pyro supports that would enable them… mavuika could have been that but nope. Off to the DPS roster you go!

@@Moontonboss It’s true that Xilonen and Zhongli are great characters, but I think when people say that geo is dead that they mean the element overall instead of just it’s characters. So even though geo has some great units, the majority of them are pretty subpar compared to other units in the game.

We haven't had a character added to the Standard Banner since Tighnari. Given the proximity of Citali's release to the pyro archon I wonder if she'll wind up there. I heard a rumor negating that possibility, but I also heard that we are supposed to get a new Standard Banner 5-star sometime during Natlan. Just speculating.

I had this idea of a cryo support where the character enables unfreezable enemies to be freezable if their chosen stat reaches a certain number (for example, if this character reaches 40,000 hp, enemies affected by freeze will be frozen no matter what) and removes enemy resistance based on the same stat.
pyro shielder with offfield application like furina would be perfect. But they just keep fumbling units with that potential

When's the last time fall damage mattered in Genshin either. Everything weighs like a brick. When Klee could knock mobs with her charge attacks being her gimmick as a main dps. Venti and veridescent hunt actually sucked in creatures. Back in the day I thought they would of added a form of damage reflection to make healers more valued. But no they crank up the damage which in turn they have to crank up other creatures because people kill them so fast they don't even experience the opponents combat. Everyone can burst and have their skills back off cooldown. But the idea of growing shouldn't be to ignore a bosses combat.
I'm so disappointed by her kit. She was a character I was looking forward to pulling, not in the least because she isn't from the 1980s. But alas, they gave her a weak shield and made her a vaporize support. Like, what? I considered pulling her for my Yoimiya, but then the obvious thought occurred, that I still wouldn't use Yoimiya, so now she joins the easy skip list.
I think when the Tsaritsa finally drops, she will be the true savior of Cryo. Like freezing actual time, which will allow all the hits to accumulate and stack up while time stops, and then causing massive damage upon the time thaws.
I have an idea for her passive:
When she'll crit 10 times from an elemental skill/burst before elemental skill/burst will end in 3 seconds, cryo reactions will be buffed by 45% for 15 seconds
Citlali is supposed to scale off of EM
Suing hoyo if they don’t make it to where Citlali can reduce physical res if there’s an electro unit is in the team
eating hoyo’s lunch if they don’t let citlali work with ganyu
I am sad to bring bad news but Citlali seems to be a fantastic teammate for pyro and hydro main dps and them only (as if they needed more buffs ),(this is according to rumors and is subject to change)
Citali will do for cryo what Xilonen did for Geo. Nothing. Will be a great meta pull but does nothing for the existing units in her element.
Citlali could've saved Cryo if she increased Melt DMG, whether that's ReverseMelt and ForwardMelt by a percentage of her own Elemental Mastery, which could help Cryo units alot, even if it made them only good in Melt comps, AND help Pyro units have a good Cryo applicator
BUT NooOooooOOoOOooOo, they just HAD to leave Cryo in the snow and have her instead DECREASE the RES of PYRO *AND* HYDRO, instead of making her a dedicated support for MELT.

why the hell would you tailor a CRYO element support to reverse melt when the cryo resonance literally cant work with reverse melt. we need a pyro element support with decent off field app to buff reverse melt. or they need to completely revamp the cryo resonance like they did the hydro resonance years ago. as it is now cryo resonance basically only helps pyro characters and ayaka.

For Wrio melt I actually prefer Wrio Xilonen, Xiangling Bennett. The Furina one has too many things going on and not enough personal damage from Wrio. Granted I have a C2R1 so he does good damage anyway

i know that you love cryo just as mutch as i do. but when you mentioned that its borderline impossible to put shenhe in current melt teams for wrio and ganyu it struck me shenhe may just be for ayaka eula to buff just raw cryo and physical dmg (she has a aa buff and phys shread so) so meaby citlali will be the shenhe for melt and make melts super super big and bring melt up to vape. and then actully currently i do feel ayaka is pretty strong only diffirence i can see to ayaka best team is if a buffer thats even better than kazuha and shenhe combined to just have ayakas pure raw dmg rivals nevuis and eula

it could be a case where citlali is for melt, shenhe for freeze true, however there are some melt ganyu teams which include shenhe for instance ganyu bennett kazuha shenhe
i would wonder if citlali would replace shenhe there? since kazu has to stay for pyro swirl for better aoe pyro app

Cryo is fine. My monocryo team has been clearing in ~30 seconds since Xilonen came out.
I know it's been a while, but Cryo was obnoxiously prevalent during the first two years of abyss so people have forgotten how cracked it can be. The current enemies are purposely made to be difficult for cryo because freeze is great with multiple enemies. Hyperbloom, and the Natlan DPS are all best with single target bosses. It's the exact opposite of what cryo excels in. I can't really comment on melt because I refuse to play it w/o new pyro supports.
I agree that it's fine, I just wish the characters would appear.
