Religious symbols are not allowed in french schools for very good reasons. There are very harsh rules in french schools anyways not only regarding this issue. France has a huge muslim community, nearly one third is muslim, so they have to draw some lines in order to keep controle. Women are also not allowed to cover their face in public and I hope it stays this way. I think it is a security risk if people can hide their identity in public places.

I’m an ex Muslim and I think most of md Syed’s arguments were erroneous. Islam considers all the Abrahamic religions to be valid and true, and there is a passage in the Quran which says that there have been numerous prophets and messengers that existed through time without specifying names (and this could mean Krishna, Buddha etc). He was wrong about defining the “age of ignorance”. Jahalia is understood perhaps in different ways. to me it translates as the pre Islamic, polytheism of the Arabs of the Nejd. Islam seems to be against polytheism the way I saw it when I was a Muslim revert, and not monotheistic faiths. The Muslim god is very angry about “taking gods beside Him”. He was right about the fact that many Muslims (not sure if it’s in scripture) say that women’s rights were introduced by Muhammad. I don’t see how that could be true when Khadija being a widow, had obviously been able to inherit her wealth and run a successful business and employ men, including Mohammad, as well as approach him and propose to him. It indicates that she came from a rather fair society to begin with. . I think that it’s very damaging to those leaving Islam to cherry pick and then accuse others of cherry picking. We have to be better than that. This is why I don’t like the Council of Ex Muslims. Their leaders look like they have a bone to pick and this is why they are championed by the extreme right. I agree with Sarah though about the burqa ban..however much it pains my personal feeling, that there should not be a ban but rather dialogue. We shouldn’t let feeling cloud our reason. For describing them I suggest two better terms according to the Quran- before leaving Islam they were "Hypocrite" and after leaving Islam they becomes "Disbeliever".
What about people that did believe honestly in Islam but then came to the conclusion that it wasn't right and thus left the religion... How would you call them ?
@@annaeigenmann4325 disbeliever. There's other term for it in Arabic, but basically someone who believe in Islam is a 'believer', thus those who don't believe in Islam is a 'disbeliever'.
@@annaeigenmann4325 then men learn the violent parts of the Koran, the women are taught the peaceful parts. Otherwise the contradictions don't make sense. That is why the women are segregated from the men.
@Islam Safari a book that Mohammed wrote. At least set the rules for. He was an adulterer, a slaver, pedophile, a murderer and a sex fiend. He acted like god was totally absorbed with Mohammed's sex life. And, I'm sorry, but having sex with your slave is adultery! He was pretty much like Charles Manson.
Here's a better choice of terms. When a young person is trapped in a strict Islamic household, they cannot show their true skepticism for fear of beatings or death. So that makes them a prisoner. When they leave Islam, and live in a safe place then they are free. So the terms should be "prisoner" and "free person".
Holy Quran 2.269----
He gives WISDOM to whom He wills, and whoever has been given WISDOM has certainly been given MUCH GOOD. And none will remember except those of understanding.

Women are the most respected in Islam are you out of your mind

Whether one is RICH or POOR, Allah is more worthy of both. So Follow NOT [personal] inclination, lest you not be JUST. And if you distort [your testimony] or refuse [to give it], then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.
Holy Quran 22.39--PERMISSION [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were WRONGED. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory.
Holy Quran 22.40--[They are] those who have been EVICTED from their HOMES Without RIGHT - only because they say, "Our Lord is Allah ." And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been Demolished MONASTERIES, CHURCHES, SYNAGOGUES, and MOSQUES in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.
Holy Quran 22.41---[And they are] those who, if We give them Authority in the LAND, Establish PRAYER and give ZAKAH and ENJOIN what is RIGHT and FORBID what is WRONG. And to Allah belongs the outcome of [all] matters.
