In anticipation: In our current house, built around 1890, I put in a new bathroom with a pocket door to save space. It worked so well that I put one in a toilet in the first floor as well. (Also moved a traditional 4 panel door from the second floor to the kitchen so I can say that I can hang a door in two ways.) Thanks for the videos.

Dropped 2050nzd on a full M18 track saw setup including 2700, 1400, bags for both, bag for the tool, makita quick clamps, 48 and 24 teeth blades, and the bare saw itself. Running with 3Ah 21700x5 DeWalt battery and adaptor which should be fine for most intents and purposes. Will probably get a second 1400 rail and cut it into 31 and 24 inch pieces for those smaller jobs/cuts in smaller places. Waiting on the tool and makita 3000mm bag so I can pick up the 2700 rail and keep it safe. Can't wait for my next sheet goods project. Baller gear.

  • @Sol-hl2rj

Scott, I don’t know building regulations or practice, but a gap of approximately 5mm between the bottom cladding and weatherboard has become the norm here. I lets: Gets you between with a brush for paint, some airing behind very exposed area for rain, lastly there cannot be standing water - it will air dry given a minimum 15° bevel on both the bottom cladding board and the weatherboard.
    Otherwise top notch as always!

You can circular saw cut it along the face, with a slight bevel upwards for clearance, and put screws in with the heads proud to pull the top half of the board out with a pry bar. But you'll have to remove the back of the groove on the new one to get it in.
