A Great motivational & supportive (in several ways, ha) 'reach out' to passionate skiers yearning to ski Tom. I am so grateful that WB is open & we are blessed to have some employment instructing..and LOTS of time to train. Cheers, Lee

Excellent video Tom. It not only does a good job explaining the importance of balance and base of support, the exercises are a great way to put that info into action and recalibrates for improvement gained from the exercises. Thanks for sharing.

Great Video! It is great verification of the work I have been doing personally on a Bosu ball for years, I is always great to hear that the methods we use alone as we progress are also used by others. Especially by someone I respect like you.

Thanks Chris. There is a good podcast I did with a guy named Chris Kresser. If you search him in Apple podcasts you’ll hear my thoughts on mastering skiing and how much of that comes down to having body awareness not necessarily strength or mobility

Cheers Tom. Good for getting equalibrium on both sides too.
Supposed to be in Japan now. We are lucky though, live in QT so looking forward to winter again already. Hope our bubble opens up for you too.

@@Bigpictureskiing Not the full range yet and a couple I do already but will work thru for sure. Got a list from your vids and a few other youtube Ozzys you probably know, to work on this year on my skis. Cheers.

These are the easiest things you can do at home to get ready for skiing.
Stand sideways next to an object, like the first step of a staircase with one foot on the floor and the other on that step. Balance with your weight on the floor. Then, as you continue to lean your upper body over that lower foot, step up onto the foot on that step. That is the weight change in skiing and the result you experience is that you will immediately fall be down onto the foot on the floor. Now look at the leg angle that was created with the leg on the step. With you balancing on that upper foot while skiing, the ski will be allowed to turn.
The next thing you do is roller skate. When you get going, imagine you are standing on the pedals of a bicycle and take your weight off of one pedal after the other. This will teach you and your muscles to balance on one Moving foot after the other. The skate you are balancing on will make a turn. You can also do it on ma bicycle while only touching the handlebars for balance.
