BEST Chocolate Chip Cookies [Pudding Cookies] | Tips to Make them PERFECT Every Time!

- Soft, chewy chocolate chip cookies made with pudding to keep them soft! Perfect for dunking in a cold glass of milk, sandwiching around ice cream, or warm and gooey straight out of the oven.

Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
3.4 ounces vanilla instant pudding mix
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt and set aside.
Using a stand or electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar on high speed until light and creamy, at least 3 minutes. Do not skip this step. Once combined, add the pudding mix, vanilla and eggs and beat on high for 2-3 minutes.
Slowly add half of the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and turn the mixer on low to start so the flour doesn't get everywhere. Turn the mixer up to high and mix until combined. Add the rest of the dry ingredients and repeat until dough is just combined. Add chocolate chips and stir with a rubber spatula until incorporated.
Drop cookies by 1/4 cup onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until slightly golden and just set on the top. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for two minutes then transfer to a baking rack to cool completely.

My absolute favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe ever literally ever since I discovered it years ago. The flavor and gooeyness reminds me of the chocolate chip cookies they used to sell in my middle and high schools cafeterias for lunch just on a thicker level! Literally the best cookie

OMG!! The pudding in the mix makes these cookies over the top! Easy to follow recipe (watch her video) and so so delicious. Hi what brand of semi sweet chocolate chips did you use to make these cookies pls let me know
If I want to make the cookie dough a few days before I want to bake them but I don't want to shape them ahead of time... like if I want to just shape the cookies when I'm ready to bake them... should I still freeze the dough or would putting them in the refrigerator part be good enough?

I don't have pudding mix vanilla, can I skip that ?

I'm a little nervous about the freezer method. Sometimes freezers have that meat smell. I do not want that inside my cookies. I think I might add them in the freezer bag linned up in the freezer.
What about crisco 1 cup like butter?
I've tried these with crisco and they work well! You don't get that good butter flavor, but they're still delicious.
Is there a way to use cook and serve vanilla pudding instead of instant pudding???
